I purchased a used LG BL40 that's locked on the Telus (Canada) network and need to unlock it preferably without having to pay a third-party service. I've tried Google-ing and can't seem to find any recourse.

I am still using Google Maps v2.3.2 and the Google website still says this is up to date.Google Maps did work once, with respect to the My Location feature. Now it just sits there trying to find my location and states its waiting for the GPS.Home Network doesn't work as it will constantly try to load but cannot find the other computers in my network. It will connect via Wi-Fi no problem though.It seems as if LG made this phone, but never did anything to support it. Am I the only person who feels this way about the phone?If it's of any relevance: I am on Telus Mobility in Ontario, Canada.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a vx8700 and i've tried to get bitpim to see the phone.Previously a couple of years ago before I reimaged my machine I had this working. I was able to access the file system and change my ringtone and what not. Now I can't get it to work.So I've tried to use the blue tooth method but when I move the vcf files over it gives me the finger saying the file is invalid...which it shouldn't be as i works fine on the shine. So anyways - whats the best way to move this information over from the old phone to the new one?

It is taking multiple attemts to unlock my phone.I also observed that when I get to call, to cancel dragging the icon from right to left this is required multiple attempts.i.e many time dragging icon from right to left.
I don't know whether it is software problem or hardware. I have tried the repair operation also. my xperia neo is uptodate and running 2.3.4 os.I also tried to un install apps but I couldn't find any difference.Also once I unlock, those 5 screens, I can scroll inbetween and can touch home button. But when I long press on the screen to add widget/folder I am unable to do it as soon as I unlock phone. It is taking some time to respond.
As I purchased this phone in UK and using it in India, I am not sure how much service I can get in india from SE.I have bill for the mobile too.in other posts somebody told me to remove yahoo and i did the same but didn't find any difference.in short the touch scence is not responsive during unlock and for a while once get the home screen. I also installed andvance task killer app and killing apps frequently that also not making any help.
I set a screen lock code today and used it several time with no problems. Tonight the unlock screen shows 'Enter Password to Unlock' but when I enter the pin code, it will not unlock.

my touch screen cracked after I droppet my Xperia Mini Pro on the pavement. I can still see everything on the screen, but when I try to unlock the phone by sliding the touch screen, there's no reply. i've read that 3.1.2 on an iphone 3gs can be unlocked using blacksnow with the updated baseband 5.11.07.this Internet video shows it being done: if this is true, the 3.2.1 is unlock-able and usable for t-mobile.
