BB Bold 9700 :: Keypad Lock Icon Is Gone?
Aug 6, 2010I have had Blackberry for over 4 years and got so used to the keypad icon to lock and unlock by pressing *send and now I downloaded newest upgrade os>743 and now that icon and feature is gone and its pissing me off, anyone know if or how I can get it back. (If it ain't broken, why think to fix it)

Jul 16, 2012I decided to sell my Evo 4G, so I erased all the contacts and all the data. Since I did that when I press "Phone" at the bottom of the phone, nothing happens. The number keypad should come up, but nothing happens. I used to use Go SMS Pro, so does it not work because I erased it? I took it to sprint and they cant figure it out, they say its broken and thats not the case. They did a full system re-boot on it and it does the same thing?

Mar 24, 2010I have been out of the loop for a while here, but i am starting to feel the upgrade itch. I have been using the N95-3 since its launch in the US and overall like it, but its starting to feel a bit under powered and dated.
Basically what i am looking for is an updated s60 phone that has a keypad with T9. I hate QWERTY keybords on phones, and i really rather have a keypad over a touchscreen. The x3 looks nice however being s40 i am not interested. Basically a thinner updated n95 would be exactly what i would like to see, am i barking up the wrong tree with this?

Mar 13, 2012I just did the software updgrade, and ever since when I answer a phone call OR when I make a call, the normal "menu" screen pops up, but immediately goes to the keypad. Sometimes I don't even see the "menu". I've tried checking settings, but it doesn't have an option to change it at all.
Any suggestions?

And it's running without any serious problem. Except, I did encounter a problem ; backlight problem.The screen and phone keypad will be turned off after a while.

Apr 14, 2011wandered if someone could diagnose what's up with my BB, curve 8520 and maybe also gimmie a solution to my problems! ... Here's pretty much all of it ... I think, I know a lot of you can relate because this seems to be a very popular problem...Bout a week ago my bb randomly started messin me about, first the 'L' key along with the 'alt' key and then also the 'A' key, they were stuttering, typing on there own, sometimes wouldn't work at all, they would even pop up when I typed a different key! also there would be times were my phone would freeze and I'd have to hold down a button for roughly 10 seconds to get a response, also all buttons including mute, side buttons, keypad etc.. would stop working all together, only track bar would work but I could only scroll, I also cannot use my phone whilst chargers in, on rare occasions my phone fixes itself, then brakes around 5-10 mins later

May 22, 2010I found out how to lock the keypad on the 9700 after this new screwy update to the 9700.To lock keypad press and hold "A" for 1-2 seconds or push the "lock button" at top left edge of phone.To unlock the keypad go to the very top left corner ridge on the very top of the phone and press the "lock" button.Will take some getting used to but will prevent unwanted calls while holstered or in purse.The best way I found to lock keypad without a password.
