Aug 8, 2011I would like to toggle between different languages without having to select "Settings / Voice Input and Output / Voice Recognition Settings / Language". This would allow me to easily toggle between English and German, for 'voice to text' recognition. Is there a toggle action/application that allows the selection of more then one language and swapping between them similarly to swiping the space bar on the keyboard?

Mar 14, 2012Just got new iPhones a couple of months ago. Up until now everything was great. Now when I put a call on speakerphone, the other party can't hear me at all. If I blow into the mic, they can hear that, but they can't hear me talk. I've cleaned the mesh with a soft, dry toothbrush as suggested, made sure that the volume didn't read "headset", turned the volume up, turned the phone off-on, made sure nothing else was blocking the mesh over the mic, etc.
The really weird thing is that I was able to record a "Voice Memo" which uses the same mic and the recording sounded just fine.
So, is it hardware or is it software? Doesn't seem to be hardware since I can record a "Voice Memo" with no problem and I can also communicate with Siri just fine. It seems that the problem only happens when using the phone speakerphone feature.

Feb 14, 2012When I dock my s2 on my vehicle dock it automatically launches voice talk and starts listening for commands.
This is very annoying as it just ends up trying to listen to whatever music the radio is playing and then tries to work out what I want it to do.
I want it to sit there, charge and shut up lol... If I want voice activation i will launch that myself.

Aug 18, 2015All of a sudden, in the middle of a call, the other person could not hear me. It was not accidentally switched to speaker (I checked). After trying to call back a few times, I figured out it would work on speaker. I found a thread where someone said they took a pin and cleaned out the small mic, and that worked for them. Having no pin, I tried a paperclip ... and it seemed to work ... for a couple minutes. Now its back to speaker only! Also ... I now notice that when I try and use voice Google ... The phone does not hear my voice. This phone is only about 6 or 7 weeks old.

Mar 13, 2012Everything functions fine on my iPhone 4 except the native phone app. I can dial out and answer calls. However, I cannot hear any sound coming out of the earpiece or speakerphone and the person on the other end of the line cannot hear me and the iPhone shows that we are connected. I use apps like Skype and Viber and I am able to make and receive phone calls fine. I can hear the caller and they can hear me. I restarted my iphone, I did a hard reset. I even backed up my iphone and restored it to default settings and the problem still persists.

Nov 26, 2012Today I discovered my speakerphone was not working. On phone calls, the speakerphone light comes on but the audio only comes from the earpiece. Every few calls, the speakerphone starts working midway through the call. On Skype video calls, the same thing. The audio comes only from the earpiece. I have removed and reinstalled Skype. No change. The ringer works as do all the notifications so the speaker is working. I have tried disabling bluethooth to make sure it was not interfering. No change.

Feb 21, 2010I recently upgraded to the 9700 with Tmo in December. Coming from an 8900 I thought it would truly be an "upgrade". Since getting the 9700 i have had more dropped calls, call fail, can not access server etc. The phone will even go into a soft reset mid call, text or email for no reason. I called tmo and the replaced the phone and sim card. it worked well for about a day or two and BAM same crap. I am not so sure its the phone anymore. Some people i talk to say it is TMO service but i have never had this problem before and have been with tmo for 3 yrs.any suggestions /advice?

May 28, 2012Blackberry Bold 9700 on contract with Virgin, I have now unlocked the phone and put my works Sim (o2) in. When I switch the phone on I recieve 1 possibly 2 calls then all further calls go to voicemail, I dont get any notifications that I have voicemail and don't know unless I call 1 or 901. If I turn the phone off and on again It then repeats the process. It appears to forward all calls to voicemail after a couple of hours. Call Forwarding is set to Conditional and does not change. I have reset to factory settings but it still does it.

May 12, 2011Randomly my phone decides it doesn't like being a phone. The call connects, but I can't hear anything and neither can the person on the other line. I'll hang up, call my voicemail, can't hear the automated messages and keypad tones don't register on the voicemail's end. Sometimes a battery pull fixes, usually not. Sometimes it works again after an hour. Two days ago it decided not to work, didn't work yesterday or today until just now either, longest I've seen it not work. When that happens I resort to calling from Google Voice on my laptop.
