Others cannot hear when I talk...Went to Apple store and they gave me a different device but it has the same problem. I had iPhone4S previously and I never had problems with it.

Have problems with your voice cutting out during calls? I get numerous complaints that people can't hear me. They say that they can hear ever 3rd or 4th word.

After the most recent update my phone during calls the voice completely drops off. Sometimes it is 3 minutes in and sometimes it is less or more. The call will not drop but I cannot hear the other person and the other person cant hear me. Its like it is muting on its own. Has anyone else had this issue? What do you suppose I should do?

My iphone is not working correctly when making normal voice calls, as in, I can hear the person I called but they cannot hear me. The weird thing is, when using skype it works fine.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I had a question regarding SMS messaging and phone calls on my iPhone 5s when connected to the wifi in my dorm room at my university. As you can assume, I have zero service when in my room which requires me to be on WiFi whenever I'm in there. The problem is, I can't send any SMS text messages or make any voice calls when on the WiFi. iMessaging works just fine, along with pretty much any other app I use (twitter, ESPN, snapchat, Soundcloud, etc.), it's just the SMS and voice calls that don't work. I'm pretty sure I've been able to FaceTime a couple times, though the connection was obviously horrific, but that still doesn't make sense then why I can't call anyone, iPhone or not, or send any SMS messages when in my dorm room. I am aware that I am updated to the latest software version, and I really don't want to have to tamper with factory resets and all that jazz,

I have a iphone 4s and after i got it about 3 days later i started being pestered with spam calls, texts and voicemails i dont know what to do as its getting a bit of an irratent. I've never given my details away and on the text messages im being called by different names as if somone signed my number up to places under false names? but i wanna know how to stop, im being called in lessons which then leads to a voicemail and text so anyway to stop this? (numbers seem to be different and it happens around 5-15 times a day)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought the Iphone 4S. I selected the option to have the screen locked after 5 minutes of non usage, with a code. When the phone goes into locked mode, it does not ring when people call me, instead they get directed instantly to my voice mail.
To avoid this, I've then selected the "never" option on the locking mode, so that the screen never gets locked : the calls do come through & ring, but the downside is that the screen remains lit, never goes dark, consuming batteries really quickly...

This problem is only confined to speakerphone, the mic works in every other situation even on skype speakerphone works.

I have 2 year old 3GS, and for the past few days I've had a constant problem of the phone having a signal, then losing it and searching, then saying No Service, then searching, finding the signal and then repeating the whole thing over and over. Sometimes when it says no service, I manually have to go into settings, turn on airplane mode, and turn it off again to force it to search again. What typically happens is I will send a text, get a reply, go to reply and my signal will have gone. My 3G will come and go also however this doesn't happen with WIFI. The biggest problem I am having however is that yesterday my phone locked up, went to the apple logo and stayed there for over 10 minutes, I forced a restart but it said "Activation needed" when I swiped this it said "Connect to iTunes", iTunes says it can't read the data on the phone. I then put the phone into recovery mode and did a restore to 5.1.1, obviously losing all the photos I'd taken since my last back up and wiping my entire phone. As I felt the phone was being dodgy I didn't do a restore from my backup and just put a few contacts in. Today during a constant back and forth texting session my phone was repeatedly losing connection and coming back. It has just locked, gone to the apple logo and it says "Activation needed".

Perhaps its a coincidence but I recently updated my iPhone to 3.1.3 and now that I'm in the office, I'm losing 3G access. I've always had a weak 3G signal in some parts of my office but it seems pretty consistent that if I put my iPhone in my pocket and then later go to use it. I'll not have 3G but rather edge.Anyone else every hear of this issue - losing 3G connectivity suddenly when it was not a problem before?
Is it related to the patch? I tried searching both here and google and I've not come up with anything that indicates this.
Strange thing today - I was playng golf and trying to run a golf GPS app that required 3G. The app wasn't working. I noticed that, instead of the 3G icon in the notification bar, there was only a little circle. I know what that means - I am not getting a strong enough 3G signal. I guess that's why the golf GPS app wasn't working. That's not what was strange . . .
What was strange was, I couldn't make any phone calls with my iPhone. I don't think there is any relationship between the strength of my 3G Internet service connection, and the ability of the phone to make a phone call. As I recall, the ascending bars (which indicate strength of phone signal, as I understand it) were OK.

During ALL calls people complain to me that they hear their voice echoing all the time. This problem remains whatever I have tried to do (activate/deactivate the Voice Clarity option, with/without handsfree).
Blackberry Bold 9700 on contract with Virgin, I have now unlocked the phone and put my works Sim (o2) in. When I switch the phone on I recieve 1 possibly 2 calls then all further calls go to voicemail, I dont get any notifications that I have voicemail and don't know unless I call 1 or 901. If I turn the phone off and on again It then repeats the process. It appears to forward all calls to voicemail after a couple of hours. Call Forwarding is set to Conditional and does not change. I have reset to factory settings but it still does it.

I'll hang up, call my voicemail, can't hear the automated messages and keypad tones don't register on the voicemail's end. Sometimes a battery pull fixes, usually not. Sometimes it works again after an hour. Two days ago it decided not to work, didn't work yesterday or today until just now either, longest I've seen it not work. When that happens I resort to calling from Google Voice on my laptop.
