people complain that they can not hear me when I use speakerphone how to fix?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I've had my iPhone 4 for a day or so now and have noticed the proximity sensor is much weaker and you have to be pushing your head against the actual phone and that when I have speakerphone turned on the mic does not work. This problem is only confined to speakerphone, the mic works in every other situation even on skype speakerphone works.

I have 2 year old 3GS, and for the past few days I've had a constant problem of the phone having a signal, then losing it and searching, then saying No Service, then searching, finding the signal and then repeating the whole thing over and over. Sometimes when it says no service, I manually have to go into settings, turn on airplane mode, and turn it off again to force it to search again. What typically happens is I will send a text, get a reply, go to reply and my signal will have gone. My 3G will come and go also however this doesn't happen with WIFI. The biggest problem I am having however is that yesterday my phone locked up, went to the apple logo and stayed there for over 10 minutes, I forced a restart but it said "Activation needed" when I swiped this it said "Connect to iTunes", iTunes says it can't read the data on the phone. I then put the phone into recovery mode and did a restore to 5.1.1, obviously losing all the photos I'd taken since my last back up and wiping my entire phone. As I felt the phone was being dodgy I didn't do a restore from my backup and just put a few contacts in. Today during a constant back and forth texting session my phone was repeatedly losing connection and coming back. It has just locked, gone to the apple logo and it says "Activation needed".

Others cannot hear when I talk...Went to Apple store and they gave me a different device but it has the same problem. I had iPhone4S previously and I never had problems with it.

Perhaps its a coincidence but I recently updated my iPhone to 3.1.3 and now that I'm in the office, I'm losing 3G access. I've always had a weak 3G signal in some parts of my office but it seems pretty consistent that if I put my iPhone in my pocket and then later go to use it. I'll not have 3G but rather edge.Anyone else every hear of this issue - losing 3G connectivity suddenly when it was not a problem before?
Is it related to the patch? I tried searching both here and google and I've not come up with anything that indicates this.
Strange thing today - I was playng golf and trying to run a golf GPS app that required 3G. The app wasn't working. I noticed that, instead of the 3G icon in the notification bar, there was only a little circle. I know what that means - I am not getting a strong enough 3G signal. I guess that's why the golf GPS app wasn't working. That's not what was strange . . .
What was strange was, I couldn't make any phone calls with my iPhone. I don't think there is any relationship between the strength of my 3G Internet service connection, and the ability of the phone to make a phone call. As I recall, the ascending bars (which indicate strength of phone signal, as I understand it) were OK.
Hi Experts,
In my home, there is several wifi router and wifi homepulp.
When I going from one area to another area of my home.
The first wifi signal is become weak, but there is existing another wifi signal is stronger than first place.
In this case, my iPhone is keep using previous wifi signal.
So, is there a way that automatically switching from weak wifi signal to the stronger one?
Thank you
Best Regards

I bought a new n86 a few days ago but I found that the signal recertion is really very very low in some places compared to a nokia n70.At the time an n70 (or many other phones) has 7 bars , an n86 has NO bars (out of network coverage)That's a very frustrating problem, Can this problem be fixed? Is this a hardware or a software issue? Can the Nokia care find a solution to this problem?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to the N97 a couple of months ago and have become more and more frustrated with the very weak phone signal I get with this handset, with calls often dropping out. I am on the latest software version etc.Now I have searched through the other discussions on this site and have found a stack of discussions about others who have experienced / are experiencing the same problem. What I would like to know is does anyone know if there is a fix or solution for this yet?I really don't think I can manage another 12 months or so before I my next upgrade, and my provider won't do anything for me.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought a Torch one week ago. Unfortunately, I will return it due to a weak signal. I had a Tour before and although I live in a rural area, my Tour rarely dropped a call and the internet worked well even with only 1 or 2 bars. When I brought home my new Torch I was pleased at frequently SEEING 2 or 3 bars AND usually seeing 3G. Then, when I started using the phone, what a far cry the reality was from bars. Even my carrier advised me to get the Bold because a customer had already called reporting a weak signal with her nrw Torch and would be returning it. I have since searched on the internet and found others with the same issue. The only conclusion I can come to is the coverage signal strength reported is incorrect. Related to a weak signal is having less than 5 hours battery with no use, just having the phone on. I have turned off the GPS tp stop the battery drain but see no improvement.I would also comment on a less than clear sound quality as well.

I am however a little dissapointed with the speaker volume of this phone. When playing podcasts in the background while working, I have to have the phone super close to hear it.
View 9 Replies View RelatedFirstly - and probably most importantly - sitting right next to my wi-fi router doesn't even produce a full connection to the network (and it disconnects completely in my bedroom, which it never did with the HTC). Is this a known issue with the device? It's really poor.Secondly, seeing as there is only limited space for notification icons in the notification area, can I remove my carrier info (MTN-SA) which permanently displays and takes up a lot of space, causing most of the other notifications to be bumped to the hidden area?oing from a 1gig processor to a 1.2gig dual core - can't say I notice much of a difference, if any? And I was under the impression that newer generation processors were supposed to yield better battery performance

While other phones such as xperia and galaxy sii play FM very clearly, this phone is grainy at best. What could be the reason behind this? Should I get the phone checked for hardware issues or is the Zune software at fault.

The only apps running are whatsapp, facebook and bbm. - even if I don't touch my phone the standby time is bearly 2 days (manufacture specs claim 19 days standby time). Surely this can't be right. I have implemented every battery saving technique without any measurable change.

View 9 Replies View RelatedHas anyone notice that 4g has a weak signal sometimes. When I'm on 4g my dbm will be -42 to -89 and it will only show 2 or3 bars of signal and if I switch to 3g it stays full bars it wont drop a bar with the same dbm. Like right now I have -75dbm of 4g and it fluctuates from 2 bars to full signal but it wont stay full long but if I switch to 3g with the same dbm sitting in the same spot it shows full 3g all the time and don't drop a bar. Is 4g just a weaker signal than 3g. I believe I'm on the same tower cause the dbm stays the same. It does this everywhere.
View 13 Replies View RelatedThree weeks ago, I received a Bold 9000 which was accidentally placed in the washing machine (along with a blanket) a few days before. Before the phone was given to me, it was dried and in working order. Up until the past couple of days, I've been using the phone without any problems. Now, the phone does a horrible job with picking up my carrier's signal. When I'm indoors, I would get no reception at all ("No Service") when I would get reception using any other handset. When I'm outdoors, I would get either "No Service" or 1 bar of reception. Once in a blue moon, I will get full reception, but that does not last long. I've tried reinserting my SIM and turning the handset on and off, but nothing would fix the reception issue. The water damage sticker (visible after removing the battery) is red.Even though it was a gift (it was decided that the phone would be a gift BEFORE accidentally placing the phone in the washer), I'd still like to continue using my BlackBerry.

But happines was premature, since C2-00 was unable to deliver decent sound level (I CAN NOT HEAR WHAT PEOPLE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF PHONE CONNECTION R SAYNIG!, changde first C2-00 for another one, also bought sim-free with original Nokia 2-year warranty) thru pre-built-in speakers in my Skoda Octavia. But in exactly same car with exactly same car-kit with exactly same settings and exactly same volume level my Nokia X6 or my Nokia N8 or my Nokia C5-00 deliver flawless volume level coming from people I'm talking to.
Btw same two C2-00 also delivered VERY -VERY poor volume level thru earpiece-speaker, and when I turned d volume up it was like my speaker-phone was ON (which in every situation was not) - everybody around me could clearly hear what was the other person whom I was talking to said.
My wife's phone is constantly dropping calls. I compared the signal test between her Atrix and mine and hers is weaker. We even have the At&t Micro cell and she drops calls. Do I take her phone to the At&t store? We haven't had the phones for 90 days.

Is this normal for a PHOTON? I would rarely roam at work before but find the photon signal roams alot. Is there a setting or something I can do? Maybe a bad phone? My home signal also tends to wildely fluctuate between one bar and five bars.
