Yesterday I changed my Apple ID Password. Since then when I try to make a FaceTime Audio call from my iPad or my iMac it get a Call Failed Using iPhone message. Â
My iPad sees my iPhone as far as using the Hotspot and FaceTime has my phone number listed as the one to use. Â

This is my first post so I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong section. My girlfriend has an iphone 4s and an ipad2. Her appleid password has recently been changed without her authorization. Even her security questions have been altered so her original answers are rejected. She's tried using iforgot and the appleid support website but since her info has changed she doesn't receive an email from said site. She called apple support and the tech told her that she would need to pay for support ($69.99) over the phone since it's been 90 days from when she purchased both products.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen making or receiving voice calls via my network operator's service, no one can hear me, i.e my audio input. I can hear the person on the other end of the phone fine but they can't hear me whatsoever. However when I use the likes of viber, skype and facetime, my audio input is perfectly fine and the person on the other end of can hear me. Note both viber and skype calls work just fine and 2 way communication is audible regardless if I have a 3G or Wifi connection. Plus I have full signal bar strength when near a mobile tower so that eliminates antenna issues. Also have taken alternative turns to cover both the top mic and the bottom mic during a viber or skype call and my audio input can still be heard. I've done a reset, a hard reset of the phone and a reset of the network settings, still to no avail. Have updated iOS to the latest version 5.1.1.

All of a sudden, all my (non Apple) apps fail to open.
dmesg shows "AppleFairplayTextCrypterSession::fairplayOpen() failed, error -42184".
This is "original iPhone 8GB with iOS 3.1.3".
Was running fine till last week I powered completely off and on again - a couple of times - right before the problem showed up.(I cycled power the first time because it was running so slowly. The second time because "No WiFi" showed up in "Settings". After the second reboot "WiFi" was back, but after that none of my non-Apple applications would launch.)
Anyone have any idea what the problem is?(It would seem to be DRM (digital rights management) related. But why all of a sudden? Has iOS 3.1.3 been completely "timed out"?) I am thinking to restore from backup - through iTunes. I don't really have the option to "re-install" all my apps from the AppStore. Because most of them have moved on to "iOS 4" only versions...and my old iPhone can only support iOS 3.1.3.

iPhone 4 (iOS 7.1) -- Found 4 Face time calls listed as missed, but I never received any audible alert that a call was attempted When I discovered the missed calls, had my husband call me on Face Time and it rang through properly. The 4 missed calls were all from my daughter, who is listed in my contacts; all came in one after the other (not at different times).

Both devices are up to date and on wifi. FaceTime is activated in the settings. I've restarted both devices. If I make a face time call the other person can hear me but I can't hear them unless I mute my microphone. So then to respond to them I have to unmute my mic, respond, then quickly mute again to hear their response. I'm having to do this with both devices. The process is the same with speaker phone, ear buds, or Bluetooth device.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have struggled over this for days. I recently lost the internet provider on my old internet account which was my old Apple ID. I successfully changed my Apple ID in ITunes to a new permanent email address. I cannot change the settings on the App store or ICloud. The suggested solutions for this problem have not worked for me because there is no option for changing the old Apple ID. When you tap on it, it does not change. I have tried signing in with the Old Apple ID (the old email account) and it doesn't work either. I have synced my phone (and lost my contacts in the process but that was an entirely different headache!) to no avail.
Some of the solutions stated that I should go to the store and tap on the Apple ID and it would allow me to change...no such luck. Also when I tried Iforgot, it would only let me change my password which is not really any help because the problem is the Apple Id.
