LG G3 :: 128gb Sandisk Sd Card Gets Dead When Fill It With More Than 32gb
May 14, 2015
I have an LG G3 and I got sandisk 128GB card. I have used it and it worked fine. Then suddenly it was dead - no adapter or phone or PC could recognize it.The store replaced it and I started using the new one and the same thing happened. They replaced it again and now I'm afraid that it will happen again.I suspect that it is dead once it gets to 32GB but I cant be sure.
Been having my Z3 for 3 months now running Android lollipop, I installed a new 128GB micro Sd few a month ago and it was working properly until a week ago, I restarted my phone and all applications on SD went missing, I couldn't access any application of them all am getting is an icon of blue print with a red SD circle ND if I try to access it an error pops up "application not found".
I plugged the phone to my laptop still I couldn't access the Sd card, so I took it off the phone and tried accessing it through an SD adapter and it worked fine, I can find everything properly saved in the card.
Tried formatting it and installing it again in my Z3, MY PHONE recognized it Instantly, but after restarting the phone all applications went missing again.
I replaced my cliq with the cliq 2 today. When I moved my 2gb sandisk sd card into my new phone, the phone was unable to recongnize that it contained the card. It worked perfectly fine on my old phone, so I put it back in my old phone, transferred the files from the card onto my computer to save them, and then formatted the card. I put the card back into my new phone and it still doesn't recognize it.
I have seen similar threads but am not sure if this issue has been resolved beyond "sounds like its just a bad card...
I got a new 2 GB Sandisk media card and once I installed it and turn on the phone, I get a warning message telling me there is a media card that needs to be formatted. I go to Options>>Media Card>>pull up the menu>>click on Format card. The phone freezes. I have let it sit for 30-45 min. I end up having to pull the battery. I have tried several times. I have deleted most 3rd party apps in case they were the culprit (they were not).
I've tried removing the card and blowing dust out of the area, pulling the SIM card out as well, but, frankly, I assumed those wouldn't work because the phone is recognizing that the card is install, it just freezes when trying to format. Interestingly, the phone is still "on" in some degree; I don't receive phone calls or texts, but my bluetooth is still connected as the blue light is flashing, but I cannot make outgoing calls with it.
One thing that may make my situation unique is that I received this card from a friend who pulled it from their new Blackberry Bold (9700). He did not know if it was formatted at the time as he immediately placed a 4 GB Sandisk into his and gave me the 2 GB. Could formatting on a newer model prevent retro-using in an older model? Can this issue be resolved?
I went to AT&T today to see if they could take a look. They couldn't tell me much but did let me try to insert a different disk - a 4 GB Sandisk. There was NO prompt when I turned the phone back on, and I checked Options>>Media Card and it told me that the card was already installed and I had X.X GB of free space.
I have scoured the internet and AT&T and refuse to believe that this is just a bad card. This has seemed to occur enough that if they are all bad cards, Sandisk is cranking out a ton of corrupt products here.
I've gone ahead and bought a 8GB Sandisk card because I don't want to be limited on the amount of music I can put on my player at any given time. For the most part the thing works(ed) like it was suppose to. Dragged over all my Media files from my 1gb and things have been cool ever since. Now while I take good care of my BB Curve 8320, it takes the odd fall here and there. Never enough to damage or mar the screen and these falls have happened WITH the new 8GB card inside.....up until today, when it took a bunny hop of a fall...and now the card is "Unreadable and needs formatting"
WTF? I'm all ready to format it, but whenever I try doing so using the Blackberry...it freezes. Whenever I try doing it on my computer...I get no response. I heard someone said to put it in the big SD adapter thing and try using it on a comp and formatting it there...I'll have to search for a comp with an SD drive to get that done in a bit...but incase that doesn't work...Do I have any other options?
This is absolute crap..when I opened the BB to see if the chip was dislodged, it wasn't...the BB won't read it now...it reads the other 1gb quite fine but not this one....and living in a third world country It's not like as is I can bomb over there and get another card for a decent price as opposed to purchasing a severly marked up one here. Has anyone ever had this sort of problem with any of the bigger model phones? I'm starting to think that this Curve thing is too 'delicate' for my liking.
My cell phone is an LG Rumour 2 or an LG 265. I bought a nexxtech 8 GB Micro-SD card with an SD-to-Micro-SD adapter from The Source....Canada's Radio Shack. Using the Micro-SD to SD adapter, the card won't read in my PC, even though regular SD cards work find. The card is recognized by my cell phone and can see three folders, DCIM, MUSIC and BLUETOOTH, and I've taken and saved one picture on the card.
I bought a micro-USB cable to connect to my PC but when I connect the LG Rumour 2 to the PC, the PC does not recognize it. What software do I need to install on the phone and/or on my PC in order to connect the cell-phone to the PC and download MP3 files to it? I have visited the LG website and I'll download the software there, but it's not clear what software I need to use to do what I want to do.My phone version information is:
S/W Version CV265G04 H/W Version Rev1.0 PRL Version PRL 30408 Browser Version Infraware Polaris 6.01 MCL Version 5.3.1
I have been struggling for over a week to upload my music library on the BB Torch 9810.I have 32gb SanDisk card.First I tried to sync it with I-Tune library. After about 300 songs and a message that SYNC was successful, I disconnected my BB from the computer ..and got the message that the card needs to be repaired. I had to click YES otherwise the card cannot be used. After the card is repaired no more songs can be added and no songs can be played.
I reformatted the card and started from the beginning, this time trying to sync it with a Media Player Library. Tried about 8 times by SYNC and by dragging the media files on the card directly whilst the phone is connected. After about 190 songs which go on with no problems, I then get a message that "The media being played is an unsupported format"I make sure ALL songs are mp3 format. Sometimes it would recognize some songs from an album, but not all of them. How is it possible if the whole CD was burned at the same time, therefore all the songs are in the same format?I tried to take the battery out and put it back...but after the error message that "The media being played is unsupported format" or that card needs to be repaired I can't add anymore media files!I wiped my music and started from the beginning about 6 times. Every time it "trips" on a different album, and albums which were uploaded successfully before would not work if I try to add them later, i.e. if albums are uploaded in different order.
I have a Sony Ericsson X10, changed out the 8gb micro sd with 32 one. Phone won't read it and states it is damaged and needs reformatting. Yet it won't reformat the Micro SD. Plug it into my computer and it recognizes it as a 32GB card. MediaGo recognizes it as a 2gb card. All software, phone and mediago has been updated.
i don't know how much data rate need to write 720p during video recodeing.i am planing to buy a 32 gb card.diffently class 10 is batter but what about class4 ,is i gonna give me trouble anyway in Xperia Ray?
I have Nokia E5 handset. I am planning to upgrade it's memory card now. As per Nokia my handset supports upto 32 GBs of card (MicroSD). Now i want to ask you people that can i really use 32GB crad in it or shall i buy 16 GBs card instead? I am asking this because some of the dealers at my place said not to use maximum-supported card in nokia as it can hang or freeze the mobile. So, is it true???Also, since i can't get this card at my place i am planning to buy it from Ebay.in. I never used that site or any other site for shopping. So, is it safe and trustworthy or shall i get the card from any shop??
I just bought a 32Gb Sandisk Class 4 microSD card off dailysteals (same place I bought my Xoom). I plugged it in and the Xoom does nothing with it. I can't see it and when I go to storage screen and touch Mount SD Card, nothing happens. When I plug the Xoom into my laptop via USB, laptop only sees internal memory, not microSD. I was previously using a Sandisk 8Gb microSD that worked fine
Just as the title says. I sent my Xoom in for the 4G upgrade and when i got it back, my 32gb SD card was gone and i have this crap 8gb instead... [removed]

I have looked everywhere and don't see this question. I installed a 32gb sd card. I formatted it via the phone. In settings/storage it shows the 29.66gb total space, 24.36gb available space. However when I go to either APS2SD or manage apps via settings it shows 8.91gb total and 7.11gb available. Why is it only showing 8gb total and not 29.66?
Has anybody experimented with an additional 32GB SDHC card? Did it work? I am just curious to find out if instead of using an additional 16GB, a 32GB can be used?
I just bought the PLAY few weeks ago. Now need to upgrade my MicroSD card (Present class 2 8GB). The curiosity I'm having now is the PLAY support the class 4 32GB or not.
i just bought a used xperia play and a new 32gb sd card class 4 (adata). the memory works fine in my laptop but when i put it in the phone it wont do anything, it wont let me mount or anything, its like there isn't anything insde. i already read that the back cover has to be placed proporly so it is pressing the little white switch, the cover is properly placed. okay just now i used the update service program and it says it has modified content, okay i know its a used phone so it is totaly possible but how to i get it back to original firmware or software or whatever, im new to andriod so what am i suppose to do (already have PC companion and update service), sorry for my bad grammer but right now im fricking out! this is the phone of my dreams and i can't enjoy it because of the sd card!! right now im going to restore to factory but i fear it will brick my phone since i got that "modified content" message.
in the worst case senario, say the sd reader is broken, how much does sony charge to fix it? do they even fix it? if they do, do thay have it in mexico?details: i formated the micro sd card on my laptop on FAT 32
I can't find any aid to mounting my new Patriot SD card. I've tried reinserting the card several times and the phone still doesn't see the storage. It just keeps telling me to remount the card.
This is the 2nd 32gb sd cards I brought and it still not working well on motorola atrix. When I sync video into my phone (mp4) only 3 out of 15 video that plays. Last thread I created they said it was the sd card that was corrupted so I brought a new one and this one is still the same. Is it atrix doesn't work on 32sd card?
I just received a new BB 9900 phone with 32GB uSD card. Since Saturday, I have been getting a lots of apps error 603 (KB23951) and the phone also frozen with several apps.I have generated a eventlog file. How can I send this file to the BB tech?
my first post here. I've had problems with a 32Gb card, don't know if the problem is the card or the "SDHC" standar. If I change to the 8Gb card that came with the mobile everything works fine.If I copy music to the phone via media sync or just dragging files only few of the files appear in the phone. i.e: For a 10 track album I only see 4 songs. Also having problems with pictures or videos, the files seems to be corrupted. Any ideas? I'm using Snow Leopard + Sony ericsson Media Sync. Also tried Saling Media Sync.Vivaz software version: 1224-4699_R2CA026
It is an undisputed fact that I can store a LOT more audio on my 3.2GB 3GS (on O/S 3.1.3) than I can on my new iPhone 4 32GB. I mean a LOT less - like 20%.
I loaded the EXACT same settings, apps and songs into the iPhone 4 using a 3GS backup. Absolutely no difference. When I tried to syncronize the first time, it loaded the settings fine until it started to copy the songs over. I got an error message saying there was not enough room. I was going to be 3GB short! Yes, I lost 3GB of available audio storage on my iPhone 4 32GB vs 3GS 32GB.
I cancelled this operation and looked at the total "available" capacity of each device. The iPhone 4 was at 29.1GB and the 3GS was at 29.3 - the iPhone 4 obviously reserves slightly more for OS 4, but not significant enough to account for the 3GB less music storage.
I thought the error message might be a fluke, so I loaded my audio in little chunks until I reached capacity, and sure enough, I could load about 20% less songs than in my 3GS.
So what's up here? It makes no sense to me. One thing to note is that I'm using the on-the-fly 128 kbps conversion option (checkbox on the "summary" page when syncing). Since I copied over most songs on my 3GS when I was using iTunes 9.1 and OS 3.1.3, it could be that iTunes 9.2 (maybe in combination with OS 4) has a less efficient conversion routine when converting a 256 kpbs song to 128 kpbs. Or maybe OS 4 is reserving more space per song for some reason.
Has anyone else experienced this? This is a MAJOR deal for me since I already was VERY disappointed that their was no 64GB phone, and now it's even WORSE because I have to unload ANOTHER 20% on my music!
