My boss bought me a neon and it'fun, but hardly tough enough for a service tool.
Anyway, what is needed to use the neon as, more or less, a wireless card? (she's paying the phone bill on an unlimited data plan).
My toshiba laptop is running windows vista, and it actually says it's connected through wifi to the personal hotspot on my iPhone 4s, but I am unable to use the Internet at all. When connected via USB, I have no troubles whatsoever. When I check the different connections on the laptop, the USB connection says "local and Internet", while the wifi connection says "local" only. I'm sure this is an issue with the laptop, but I'm severely challenged when it comes to computers.

3.1.2 3GS with 05.11.07 modem fw.I have it jailbreaked and the jailbreak DOES stay after a reboot (ie even after the phone dies and I recharge it, the jailbreak stays there).I want to sell this in anticipation for the 4, so can I also unlock it so it doesn't need to be re unlocked on reboot? I ran sn0w from blackra1n app and I think it unlocked because I saw an option to choose carrier in Settings. However, after a reboot that option went away. As you may understand, I have no way of testing this since I am on ATT. Thanks!
View 10 Replies View Related99% of the time browsing is fine but once in a while the phone will turn off and reboot. Another rare one is the screen going white with lines of code. Sometimes I can back up and then return to the site, or page, and all's fine. Or exit and re-enter browser. Other times it stays like that for hours or days or when I travel very far it returns to normal.

The phone has bunch of preloaded default AT&T applications. I wonder if i can use any of them under T-Mobile internet service. such as browser, xm radio, messengers, email. GPS etc.
I tried to connect to each one of them, but got connection error. Is there some kind of setting i can play around with? or any of you got it to work?
I was configuring bluetooth connection between my laptop and Torch 9800 and windows automatically configured my Torch as bluetooth modem and now I can use my Torch as a modem over bluetooth for internet access. This is a welcomed surprise as I was contemplating whether or not to spend 20 plus dollars to buy the tethered application but apparently there is this free option. This is probably not new to BB experts but I was so happy about this "new discovery" that I thought of sharing.

But when I get e-mails in Japanese, they are partly readable (the hiragana and katakana are visible and displayed correctly, but the kanji don't show up properly). If the Xenon didn't ship with Japanese support, then is there some way to add it into the phone?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a LG Xenon GR500 phone and whenever I try to send or receive files via MMS my phone tells me "My Stuff Folder is Full - Delete files". I am using a 2GB memory card and all defaults are set to this folder. I have moved everything from Ringtones to Pictures to the memory card and deleted every single nonessential file from the phone. When checking the Phone Common memory, it shows 179886KB in use and 108KB free. 170900KB is listed as "Others" and when I go to the "Other Files" folder, it is empty. I have done a Master Reset on the phone and I am at my wits end with this thing. Does ANYONE have any idea whats going on here?

I have no problems with using the modem feature to connect my laptop to the internet through the 8900. What I am wanting to accomplish is connect my Blackberry to a computer on my network and access the internet from the Blackberry through the network to surf and download apps etc.Is the router bypass on the device manager strictly for the enterprise server? or can COM ports be configured and the tether used?
