LG :: Have AX265 Banter From Alltel / Reprogram For Verizon?
May 29, 2010Is it is possible to use my old Alltel LG AX265 (Banter) phone on the Verizon network by doing some software hocus pocus. I'm not very cell phone savvy, but I can follow simple directions as well as any 11 year-old.The Justin Timberlake look-alike at the Verizon store said I'd need to get a new phone from Verizon, and proceeded to push the Motorola Droid into my face. I'm sure it's a great phone, but I just want my almost-teenager to be reachable. I'm pretty sure he's gonna lose the phone within the year, so I'm not inclined to spend much money.

Jun 3, 2010I have an LG AX265 on the Alltel network.What I am curious is to why my inbox is filling up at ~103 texts and not 300 as it says in the phone memory area.Another thing I was wondering is that when I type a text it max's out at like 160 some odd characters.Why wont it continue typing and send multiple texts at once?

Jan 15, 2010Okay i have a Lg Banter...of course. well my phone can only hold 100 text in the inbox and 50 in the outbox. i have two friends that have the same exact phone and provider as me and they can get over 200 text in inbox and 100 in outbox. on the specs of the phone it says it can get 300. i know that you can never get true limit but i want to know if there is anyway of increasing it by a hack. i already can hack into the filesystem. If anyone wants to know how to get into filesystem of a banter with bitpim just ask and ill gladly tell you. (quite simple of a fix lol)

Feb 4, 2010I am hoping that someone here can help me with a phone dilemma.I have a LG Banter.Out of the blue today the display screen started flashing every 3 seconds.It has done so for the last few hours.It does not interrupt phone conversations, I can still use the phone like normal, it is just extremely annoying. Feb 12, 2010I cant remember the manual setup menu code (like ## something something, send) for Samsung first of all, so if someone could help me out with that I know I can do the rest myself.. But it was a phone once used for US cell and I want to use it on my Alltel plan. When I put the ESN on the verison website it keeps saying cannot activate the phone, but I am assuming its cuz I totally need to enter the manual setup first. Anyone know what that is? I've been searching on the forum for a while and cant seem to find it. After reading more I think I need to flash the phone to Alltel. Feb 25, 2010Daughter got scammed on a Craigslist Touch Pro CDMA Alltel. It won't boot, just says Touch Pro for a few seconds then buzzes and reboots. It will do it forever.If I understand correctly, there a boot loader, then a rom. To do a non-OEM rom, you need to unlock the bootloader.Figured out how to get into boot loader mode and successfully flashed with latest ROM from HTC. Not clear if I put a new one on or reflashed the same one. No improvement. Now it says RAPH800 SPL-0.40.0000 MicroP-Hermann (etc).
I can't unlock the loader. Tried Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037 and got an error 262. In fact I tried all the others, ReLocker, Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_025_MFG just for the heck of it with the same error.I'm assuming that if I can unlock it, then put MightyRom or something similar.Would there be some other issue? Like a hardware problem stoping a preboot hardware test? It won't power on to the SPL when the battery *isn't* in place, power supply on. Nor do the boot loop run with no battery. If it's in boot loader mode, you can pull the batter.

Feb 28, 2010I have a Samsung Hue 2 tethered as a modem through Alltel (now Verizon). It worked fine with Windows XP, but not with Windows 7. I called Samsung and was told that a Win 7 driver does not exist yet. This phone is still under contract so I cannot switch it for a different brand. Great, the only computer I could buy now is Win 7, 64 bit.

I am not able to receive any file via Bluetooth if that file is not openable by Nokia. ie., if I receive a jpg or mp3 file, it receives fine, and when I open it from Messages, it tries to open it, and then I save it from the Message to the Gallery.But when I try to receive some other type of files which is not supported by the mobile, it receives the message, but it fails to open the bluetooth message and as a result, I am not able to save it to the Mass Memory. Say for instance, I am trying to receive a docx (Microsoft Word) file, then I face this problem.Is there any way to save the file directly to any folder in memory without trying to open the received message?Had it been some protected files like .SIS or .SISX then I would agree, but It's bad if I am not able to receive general files.

Dec 15, 2012Using the stock File Manager app I can see audio files on my Maxx HD's internal storage and also on the SD card. I happen to be looking at ringtone files. If I tap on the filename to play the ringtone, Amazon Cloudplayer pops up and shows all the music files on my SD card. No ringtones can be found. If I back out of Amazon Cloudplayer and use the file manager to try finding and playing ANY audio file on EITHER my SD card or the internal storage I get sent to Amazon Cloudplayer. I then have to use the back button to get back to the file manager icon in the App drawer. Same thing happens if I try to play audio files on my SD card. Amazon Cloud Player pops up. I don't want to use Amazon Cloud Player to play an audio file in SD storage.
If I connect my phone to my PC and navigate to the ringtones on internal storage and click on them they play as per usual (Windows media player). If I use my PC to play audio files on the SD card they play as usual.Why does my phone default to Amazon Cloud Player when I tap on an audio file in File Manager? What is the stock audio file player on the Maxx HD? Why can't I browse to an audio file with the file manager and tap on it and have it play? How do I fix this?
