HTC has abandoned the PPC6800 on their website -- does anyone know where one can find the most recent PPC6800 (Titan) Alltel stock ROM? Can't find it anywhere on the internet (the only place that has it, ppcgeeks, has a corrupted file.)
View 1 RepliesA friend of mine has an Altell PPC6800 and she's now on verizon, she loves that phone and she's upset with the phone Verizon gave her a bit ago and still carries her 6800 even though it's non-functional. Do you have any advice on getting an Altell PPC6800 working on Verizon? She has called Verizon and had a bunch of rude representatives tell her it's not possible. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it's the exact same phone hardware. To my knowledge Verizon also changed their policy to accept third party phones on their service sometime in 2008.

I have been trying all kinds of gateway and IP and port numbers and am not sure if I am trying to connect through Alltel as my browser indicates or what. I have tried all the settings from hottproxy and mark ventures site and have had nothing but errors. Does anyone have all the settings I need for this set up?

i have deleted it without backup and now all of my preset ringtones are gone.
I did the software update on Motorola software update, and the phone now has a verizon logo when it powers up, but when I go to activate the phone, *228, it is alltel on the line. What else do i need to make this phone work? I've tried to flash in the verizon monster with rsd lite,"VRZ_P3_NN_C_07.7A.00I_01.05.00R_MONSTER_01.ra r", but the flash always fails.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI cant remember the manual setup menu code (like ## something something, send) for Samsung first of all, so if someone could help me out with that I know I can do the rest myself.. But it was a phone once used for US cell and I want to use it on my Alltel plan. When I put the ESN on the verison website it keeps saying cannot activate the phone, but I am assuming its cuz I totally need to enter the manual setup first. Anyone know what that is? I've been searching on the forum for a while and cant seem to find it. After reading more I think I need to flash the phone to Alltel. I've used Bitpim before to edit things on phones before, is this what I am going to have to do? something with Bitpim?
View 2 Replies View RelatedDaughter got scammed on a Craigslist Touch Pro CDMA Alltel. It won't boot, just says Touch Pro for a few seconds then buzzes and reboots. It will do it forever.If I understand correctly, there a boot loader, then a rom. To do a non-OEM rom, you need to unlock the bootloader.Figured out how to get into boot loader mode and successfully flashed with latest ROM from HTC. Not clear if I put a new one on or reflashed the same one. No improvement. Now it says RAPH800 SPL-0.40.0000 MicroP-Hermann (etc).
I can't unlock the loader. Tried Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037 and got an error 262. In fact I tried all the others, ReLocker, Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_025_MFG just for the heck of it with the same error.I'm assuming that if I can unlock it, then put MightyRom or something similar.Would there be some other issue? Like a hardware problem stoping a preboot hardware test? It won't power on to the SPL when the battery *isn't* in place, power supply on. Nor do the boot loop run with no battery. If it's in boot loader mode, you can pull the batter.
I have a Samsung Hue 2 tethered as a modem through Alltel (now Verizon). It worked fine with Windows XP, but not with Windows 7. I called Samsung and was told that a Win 7 driver does not exist yet. This phone is still under contract so I cannot switch it for a different brand. Great, the only computer I could buy now is Win 7, 64 bit.

I'm not very cell phone savvy, but I can follow simple directions as well as any 11 year-old.The Justin Timberlake look-alike at the Verizon store said I'd need to get a new phone from Verizon, and proceeded to push the Motorola Droid into my face. I'm sure it's a great phone, but I just want my almost-teenager to be reachable. I'm pretty sure he's gonna lose the phone within the year, so I'm not inclined to spend much money.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 3gs i want to sell that has 3.1.3 on it with jailbreak a la Spirit and unlock a la blacksn0w. I have apps and personal data on there, and did the SHSH blob backup of 3.1.3 to Cydia right before 4.0 came out. Is there any easier way to restore it to stock than put 3.1.3 on there again (I fear it will not be accepted or some error even though I have the "blob backup" a noobie in that department and just followed instructions from a dev's twitter). Is there an easier way to restore the phone to clean, re-JB and re-unlock? Maybe like manually wipe all contacts, photos, and apps (that should take care of my personal data, right)?
Also, only going to sell my 3GS if iPhone 4 is not unlocked before the end of the summer. I'm going to Europe in the Fall and if this isnt the case, I'll just be bringing 3GS with me .
I was wondering how much of a wait for the iphone 4. I was just at Bestbuy and they had 32gb in stock that i could get. But sadly, I wasnt able to at that moment. But plan to in 2 weeks, I was wondering if i was just luckily at bestbuy at the time they got a shipment in or if they fly off the shelves and are out of stock alot of the time.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHave been happily using the LG V10 for about a week now (I'm a convert from Note 3, after seeing Samsung neglected we users and removed the SD card slot and removable battery). Phone has performed pretty flawlessly except for one curious thing: I expect any apps that I open will stay that way until I close them or do a 'clear all'. That has proven true so far for all apps except for the stock Calendar app! I can open it and view it, then go work with other apps or invoke the lock screen. When I unlock the phone, all the other running apps are still available, but the calendar app for some reason has been shut down and I have to reopen it. This is very curious, and I never had that issue on the Note 3.

1. Is there a side effect for keeping D6563 rom ?
2. SOL25 is supposed to be 32 gb but i only get 11gb, is it cause the rom is not the stock one ?

I recently got a Samsung Galaxy s6 Edge. Loving the phone, but was surprised not to see raw support and shutter speed ability in the stock camera app, as last may I was convinced I had read that it was going to have an 'exciting' camera update. After some research, I discovered this had been updated and implemented in Android 5.1.1.
So does this mean even with the impending 6.0 update, that the only way to use raw or tinker with the shutter speed will be via a third party app? If so that seems a bit lame..
I do love my lg g4 but compared to the s6 edge it looks ancient, the camera capabilities are simply amazing though. That's why I don't get why Samsung hasn't made it accessible from their own app?
My phone is currently rooted, with a different kernel and running deodexed XtreStoLite. How to go back to stock? I want to trade my phone in soon at T-Mobile and I know they'll notice the phone is rooted, since it says "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" when booting up. Everything works fine, though. I know in most people's case that text only shows for bootloop, but mine works fine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAbsolutely loving my new HTC One here...traded in an HTC Rezound on Verizon for the ONE on AT&T and couldn't be happier! I have noticed on the stock calendar app for the One that most of the time the actual month written out (i.e. Jan, Feb, Mar, etc) along with the actual day of the week written out (Sun, Mon, Tues, etc) is missing. In the month view, all I see for individual months is the numerical value of the month without any names of the months (4/2013, 5/2013, etc).
The same I find with the day and agenda views....no names of days just dates as I scroll through (04/21/2013, 04/22/2013, etc). The week view seems to be the only one I find that has days spelled out but it actually the one view I use least...lol. Is there any setting I'm missing to get the names of months and days to show up in month, day and agenda views? My brain seems to process names of these items quicker than the numbers and so I'm wondering if I'm missing something here....my old Rezound always had the name of the day/month in clear view.
This started happening pretty much immediately since I installed the 4.4.3 update late July, and has just gotten worse.
For a single one of my contacts, the SMS app lags HORRIBLY whenever I am doing anything with said person. It takes about half a minute just to load when I click his name, and the phone keeps completely freezing for up to 10-15 seconds EACH letter I type! It's not just the SMS app itself, but even the keyboard freezes up and is unresponsive. I can keep typing and it will apparently actually record the next 30 or so taps and just blaze through them ... then lag for another half minute or so again. None of the settings (how little there are) have had any effect. Once I click send the message also takes a bit before it appears and starts to send. Any action with this contact open in the SMS app seems to lag my phone like a unusable nightmare.
Since this is the person I tend to text the most, I have been tempted to crush the phone in my hand at this point. It is ONLY happening with them, and ONLY after the 4.4.3 update. It's not consistent either; I was still having this issue earlier today, but right now as I wanted to text him again it was working perfectly lag-free.
