I just got a LG Banter, and went to put some mp3 ringtones on it, but it doesnt support that for some reason or another. A quick Google brought me here, specifically to this link:Was just curious if there is a thread similar to that one, but for the banter instead of glimmer

I was wondering if there is a newer version of software for the banter bc i looked at a friends banter and has a different version of sms. Which lets him have over 200 texts in his inbox. i was wondering if anyone knows where to get this firmware somehow. it would be really great!

View 1 Replies View RelatedOkay i have a Lg Banter...of course. well my phone can only hold 100 text in the inbox and 50 in the outbox. i have two friends that have the same exact phone and provider as me and they can get over 200 text in inbox and 100 in outbox. on the specs of the phone it says it can get 300. i know that you can never get true limit but i want to know if there is anyway of increasing it by a hack. i already can hack into the filesystem. If anyone wants to know how to get into filesystem of a banter with bitpim just ask and ill gladly tell you. (quite simple of a fix lol)

Is it is possible to use my old Alltel LG AX265 (Banter) phone on the Verizon network by doing some software hocus pocus. I'm not very cell phone savvy, but I can follow simple directions as well as any 11 year-old.The Justin Timberlake look-alike at the Verizon store said I'd need to get a new phone from Verizon, and proceeded to push the Motorola Droid into my face. I'm sure it's a great phone, but I just want my almost-teenager to be reachable. I'm pretty sure he's gonna lose the phone within the year, so I'm not inclined to spend much money.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is an unusual situation. I have this ringtone that is a song about a cartoon character. Some kids texted it to me and I saved it in my ringtones folder. Later I tried to text it to a couple family members. On one of the attempts, it didn't attach because I hit the wrong selection (not sure what).Anyway, ever since, the song comes on constantly and plays all the way through. For example, if I receive a text, the normal text alert sound goes off. But afterwards, the song starts to play and I can't stop it until it has played through. If I receive an instant message from someone on Blackberry Messenger, the normal message alert sound goes off, but afterwards the song starts and again plays all the way through.If I make a call, after I hang up the song goes off and plays all the way through. If I send an email, as soon as I hit send button, the song goes off and plays all the way through. Nothing I have tried seems to work.I have checked all my ringtone and contact settings. I have deleted the ringtone/song from my ringtone file and deleted the few messages and emails on phone where I forwarded it to myself or a family member. Putting the phone on silent doesn't seem to work. Once the song starts, I cannot stop it until it plays all 30 seconds. Anyway, I still have the same problem and the song will not quit playing. So, I think you can see my dilemma. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this problem? I thought maybe it had a virus, but no one that I know who has the ringtone has the same problem as me. I did recently install a new update/upgrade of the Blackberry operating system. Do you think it is a problem with the update?

After a couple of days searching I can't find a way of using my own MP3 as a ringtone on a C3. I can download it to my 'music' file, but not to my ringtones.
I've read many solutions, but non of them are correct t for C3. I'm seriously thinking of taking phone back to shop as it doesn't appear to do what it says it does. This is a last chance appeal. how to use my own MP3 file as a ringtone on a C3?
just wanted some help w/ fixing my ringtone. The converted ringtone is already in the "ringtone" tab on iTunes. But after syncing it I still can't find it under Settings > Sounds. What am I doing wrong or am I missing any step?

I think it has something to do with the "disabling"of the SD card while connected to the computer, but I don't know for sure.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI created two ringtones, not having an issue with that... found a FREE app on the iPhone to download and create a ringtone. I'd created two (2) tones, I want one to be for my wife's number when she calls, and the other to be ID as default when anyone calls, but I can't choose both of the ring tones I created and sync to the iPhone, it only appears as the recent ring tone I sync to the phone.
My specs: 3GS 16GB (NEW since this past Friday 29th of Jan), using Windows Vista and the recent iTunes software for the PC.
Maybe it isn't done?!I when inside "contacts" tried it in there, and to no avail it isn't showing but the recent sync tone I have. I guess the phone had deleted the first and kept the most recent? Can this phone have multiple tones for different (#'s) you have stored on your phone
