I have a blackbery sprint bold 9650.All of a sudden my ringtones won't work .I get an "invalid ringtone.try another".This happens on everyone.I tried to remove battery for 30 seconds .Started up and it worked for one minute and then back to the same old problem.What can I do.

I just bought a new ringtone the other day. It worked the whole day I had it, I set it up to ring for my texts. The last day or so it doesn't play when I get an incoming texts, the ringtone plays just fine for incoming phone calls.

Converted ringtone file from mp3 to wma format, downloaded wma file to the ringtones folder using Windows Phone application, the file plays using Windows Media Player on workstation from ringtones folder on phone, file appears under custom in the list, but does not play on the phone when selected.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy phone will vibrate, but does not audibly ring. The silent switch is not set, If i go into the settings menu, the ringer menu files are missing.
All other sounds work flawlessly, music plays, keyboard clicks away and voicemail, and text alerts come through, it's just the ringer that's problematic.

View 3 Replies View Related1) the screen doesn't lock anymore; i mean the slide to unlock thing doesn't appear : when i lock the phone the screen just goes black but when it's in my pocket it unlocks itself and start messing around like calling by itself!
2)the central button now only lights the screen; it doesn't go back to the main screen anymore! i have to use the button <-- (back) as many times as i entered in a folder to go back to the main screen..
3)the phone doesn't ring anymore! i can listen to music or whatever but it will just vibrate when someone calls me! also when I try to change the sound level with the side buttons, even if i go max, it will say :Ringer Volume silent ringtone selected
4)the camera crashes as soon as i open it, it's just black as if something was blokcing the camera.. the only option reamaing is to turn off the phone and then reboot!
5)by the way when I press the shut off button usually you have 3 choices : *plane mode *power off *xxxx (i just can't rember what it was)well now i only have one option: power off!
6)Oh btw it has already happened to me a few days ago; after much searching in the internet with no answers i simply did the 'factory data reset' thing and it worked!
This is an unusual situation. I have this ringtone that is a song about a cartoon character. Some kids texted it to me and I saved it in my ringtones folder. Later I tried to text it to a couple family members. On one of the attempts, it didn't attach because I hit the wrong selection (not sure what).Anyway, ever since, the song comes on constantly and plays all the way through. For example, if I receive a text, the normal text alert sound goes off. But afterwards, the song starts to play and I can't stop it until it has played through. If I receive an instant message from someone on Blackberry Messenger, the normal message alert sound goes off, but afterwards the song starts and again plays all the way through.If I make a call, after I hang up the song goes off and plays all the way through. If I send an email, as soon as I hit send button, the song goes off and plays all the way through. Nothing I have tried seems to work.I have checked all my ringtone and contact settings. I have deleted the ringtone/song from my ringtone file and deleted the few messages and emails on phone where I forwarded it to myself or a family member. Putting the phone on silent doesn't seem to work. Once the song starts, I cannot stop it until it plays all 30 seconds. Anyway, I still have the same problem and the song will not quit playing. So, I think you can see my dilemma. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this problem? I thought maybe it had a virus, but no one that I know who has the ringtone has the same problem as me. I did recently install a new update/upgrade of the Blackberry operating system. Do you think it is a problem with the update?

My 9300 did exactly the same thing. I've changed it 'out of holster' ringtone which works as does in holster but when set to ring always it stops out of the holster.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have searched but can't seem to find any answers to this following issue.I have a Bold 9000, and for some reason the SMS message tone, and my ringtone have suddenly gone very quiet.I upgraded to 5.0 a while ago, and everything was ok, then a couple of days ago the volume went very low, even though it is turned upto 10 in the settings.I'll have another look about and see if I can find some answers, but in the meantime if anyone can post some fixes I'll be over the moon.

With other BB's, I was able to assign a different ringtone to each of my contacts. I cannot figure out how to do that with the 9650 I just received from work.
Basically, I want one ringtone for all calls except for the contacts where I have assigned a different ringtone for them.
A few days ago out of no where my phone stopped ringing in calls and text msg.The phone is on loud profile and when i put some ringtone it sais "An illigal ringtone was chosed, please choose another ringtone" - thow it's the same ringtone i used for like a year with this phone.how can i fix it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I connected the phone to the PC it came up with the do you want to upgrade which I did, but now the phone does not ring. when I go to profiles and look at the settings its all ok click a tune or ringtone and click try it it vibrates but no sound. I have tried several ways but none of them fix it, all I do is take out battery and re start and it works fine, but only a few hours. when the sound has gone again and I only know when I miss a call I restart the phone and its ok again. The issue I am getting is frequently mobile is getting silent automatically No ringtone is ringing, when I am getting incoming call only display is coming, when I am receiving call I cannot hear anything. So everytime I have to switch off mobile and remove battery and restart the phone again, for sometime everything is working fine but after some hours again getting silent.
