my camera isnt working... I'm able to view all of my past photos and videos fine. But when it comes to take new ones i'm unable to do so. When I launch the camera app it stays stuck on a closed shutter; when I press the camera button to snap a new photo/vid nothing happens... it just stays on this lovely screen.

I have a iPhone 4s and want to view videos on a TV with a composite connection. I have the appropriate cables, but when I try to view photos, the TV will not show the photos. Do I have to have an app that is written to allow this to happen or should the native iPhone apps be able to do this?

a few days ago I accidentally dropped my phone and since then the camera has gone weird. When I look at the camera the shutter is not there and it looks like I'm about to take a photo. Its almost like the shutter is stuck. When I go onto my camera app there is no picture and it looks like I am in a dark room when I am not, but the options, exit and ect show up. I have dropped my phone a few other times especially on worse surfaces but this time it has just stopped working?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I take pictures and/or videos with my phone, I can't see the picture or video on my phone. I take a photo. The phone acts like it took a photo. I see a thumbnail initially. When I try to view it again, there is just an icon and the photo is gone. It will say it isn't viewable or a video isn't playable. Can't view them if I transfer them to my computer either. I don't understand what the problem is because sometimes it works just fine. I can still see old photos or videos. The formats are exactly the same as the old photos. I didn't change the settings.
View 8 Replies View RelatedOn my DX, whenever I went to the Gallery, I was presented with the folders on my SD card that contained photos and videos. One folder I had was called "Wallpapers". On the DX2, all photos and videos get lumped together and there is no way of navigating to the folder that contains the photos or videos you want to see or play.I understand that there is a way to "group" photos and videos by day, week, or month. Fine. But why not also let you group them by the folders they are in on your SD card?If you click on "My library" and then click on the "My Library: Timeline" drop-down button at the top of the screen, you get a popup that shows you can view your "My library" by Albums, Locations, Tags, and Timeline. Again, why not also include the folders that they are in on your SD card? I was hoping that was what viewing your library by "Albums" would be, but that's not the case. When I click on that, I get two albums: "All videos" and "All photos". Not very convenient if you want to view a particular movie, video clip, or photo. I don't want to have to sort through a folder containing ALL of the videos or ALL of the photos.
Here's the problem as I see it in practice:Say you want to change your wallpaper. Okay, long-press on your home screen and select "Wallpapers". Now, select where you want to pull your wallpaper from. "Gallery". On my DX, it would take me to the Gallery and it would show separate folders for Camera, All Photos, and the folder I created for all of my wallpapers, called "Wallpapers". So then I could click on the "Wallpapers" folder and easily select the image I wanted as my wallpaper.ith the DX2, after long-pressing on your home screen and selecting "Wallpapers" and then "Gallery" as the source, it takes you straight to ALL of your pictures. I have more than 1,700 on my SD card so I don't want to scroll through all of them just to find the wallpaper images I saved that are mixed in with photos I took with my phone, downloaded images, etc. Sure, if you click on the Menu button and select "Group by", you can group all of the thousands of images by Day, Week, or Month, but again that doesn't help since who the heck knows when those wallpapers were created?
On my N8 (Anna), I can see all the photos taken with the phone in the default photo viewer. But under Window Explorer, some can be seen but many are missing. So where are they?

I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 7.1.1 with a really strange issue that has persisted even through a full reset. I've found similar threads but I've never found a thread where an issue is throughout the phone such as mine is. At one point I was able to somewhat fix everything but the Camera roll issues but in just a couple of weeks the other problems have all returned. The way I fixed this a few weeks ago was by throwing a hail Mary and deleting Instagram. As soon as I did that, the camera returned to normal even after re-installing it. I removed every Camera app and any apps that use the camera on my phone but this time nothing has fixed the issue. I've also performed a factory reset and restored nothing, re-configuring and installing all software again manually but this issue is still persisting.Â
The first noticeable symptom was my on my camera roll where images would appear like they were black or had some sort of dark filter over them. Many people have had similar issues and there is almost never a resolution on ANY of these threads.As you can see, while the preview is dark, the actual picture is fine. This means it's most likely not anything to do with the hardware side of the camera.Â
Inside the Apple Camera.App the view is also dark, as if there is some sort of dark filter on the camera. But if I apply a filter, the display looks "normal". As you can see below the, on the right with a filter applied the display is as expected. Other camera apps (Instragram, Camera+, MagiCam) have the same issue, but without the ability to set a filter like in the Apple app, the camera remains unusable in those applications.Â
This isn't all though, as we continue down the rabbit hole, the plot thickens. Even displaying photos in full-screen in other apps has that same dark filter look to it:Â This screenshot is taken inside Tweetbot. And as shown below, a similar issue with Music.app displaying Album covers. And while I don't have a screenshot for it off-hand, I've had the same issue watching video in full-screen in the YouTube app.Â

View 5 Replies View Relatedi can not view/play videos on facebook; neither from the browser or the app. i can play Internet videos and vimeo videos on facebook. it seems to be only ones labeled hd. when i called verizon about it, they sent me another phone. the problem did not go away. i assume it is a setting somewhere that i can not find. it does not give me an error message. it simply says: "error file cannot be displayed or played." i believe they are all in .mp4 i tried downloading another video app to see if it could play them. it can not do it either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy problem started two days ago. When I open the Camera APP the first frame the app "sees" is displayed but no live view. If I hit the shutter it snaps a picture "normally" and I can also shoot video and see the images moving while doing so. The problem is occurring on both front and back cameras and also with 3rd party camera apps! I did reboot a few times without any changes...
Right now I'm waiting for update 4.2.2 to see if it works!
I can't view embedded videos using opera, it says 'can't load plugin' where the video would display itself. But it only seems to be an issue with vBulletin boards. I have no problem with embedded videos using other browsers.

They are previewing in my skydrive upload folder, but not showing in my camera roll. When i take the photo it says "saving ..." but they're not. Tried both nokia cameras.
They're not uploading from skydrive despite being on WiFi. How I would save my holiday snaps.
I've not had my torch 9800 for long. But lately taking pictures the images have been saving as a jpg rem file. Instead of just jpg. Last night I connected my BB throught the usb to transfer some pictures to the laptop but was only able to see a preview of my first few pictures(jpg) and the latest ones (jpg rem) were unable to be previewed, so was unable to transfer! Not changed any thing on camera options so at a lost to why they have changed!

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I email a photo from my Camera Roll, it opens up fine on the PC. If I connect the phone to my PC via USB, though, whether I choose USB Mass Storage, or Windows Media Sync, I can't get the valid photo files transferred it seems. The transferred files would be "invalid" to open on my PC running Windows 7. If I choose Windows Media Sync, and then use Windows Media Center to Import the files, it would always get stuck at ~45% completion. The imported files can be opened, but then the rest somehow can't even be transferred.
I used to have data and device encryption on. I turned both off when I found out about this problem, but the same issues remain.
My phone is pretty dead - screen is white and no buttons respond. A new phone is on its way from orange and I'm trying to get videos off the bb onto my desktop. I've managed with the photos but can't get more than a couple of videos from the bb onto the desktop (using desktop software). Not sure if they are on the phone or media card. (On software, none show up in 'my videos' file. How do I do this only using desktop/ usb and not accessing phone?

I have FW v31 and it's the newest software provided by my operator.
I'm using Nokia N8-00 and I'm from India. I updated my mobile to Anna last week, but after update front camera is not working, even I cannot make video calls as other person cannot see me.mAlso log entries do not show entries for GPRS/WiFi connections. I took mobile to Nokia Care but even they could not be able to detect or solve my problem.
