Apr 15, 2012I have a wonderful, Perfect iPhone4, except my Home button is mostly dead... It sometimes takes 3-4 hard clicks to use. I went up to the Apple Store, since it's about 15 months old, they offered to replace The Whole Thing for me for only $160... Just because one physical button went bad. When the phone is asleep, I can use the top button to get the Swipe entry screen. But when I am in an App, there does not seem to be any alternative to the physical Home button... Is there some 3rd party hack, or some other way to get back Home?

Apr 16, 2012I recently updated to ios 5.1 and can no longer access my home network. It shows up and I am putting in the correct password to join, but I am getting the unable to join network pop up. Last evening I upgraded the firmware on the Cisco router and this morning reset the network settings again on the phone as well as the "all settings" reset. I tried a full restore as well, and still no luck. Also I am now unable to get into iTunes from the phone as well. I know it's not the network due to my iPad as well as my wifes iPhone and her iPad, that have not been upgraded to a new OS, work fine.

I rebooted the cable modem and was then able to see and connect to the network with both iPhones and an iPad, but, a few minutes later, was unable to join the network. I have an iMac and a Thinkpad laptop that both connect fine and stay connected. I've tried rebooting the iPhones and forgetting the network, but the problem keeps coming back. I called Comcast to suggest they "change the channel" on their wireless gateway, but they couldn't do it.

Recently (about a day ago) I came home and my phone wasn't picking up wifi anymore. So I thought I would do some troubleshooting myself.
I forgot the network, then rejoined it. Still nothing.

Mar 24, 2010I bought my E55 yesterday, and I can't seem to be able to connect it to my home's wifi.It says the pre-shared key is wrong, but I am positive it's correct. I tried re-entering my pre-shared key in my laptop just to make sure I don't remember it wrong and it connected fine, it's just the phone that doesn't connect.My laptop says my network is connecting using WPA/WPA2 to connect so does the phone. The password is totally 11 digits, 9 letters and 2 numbers.

Jun 1, 2010I figured this maybe a simple case of reloading the firmware but I wanted to know id nyone else had any insights.
Basically I can't get to the home screen, I have a password on my phone, soon as I try to unlock it the phone locks up.
I've done a battery pull and removing the SD card and the SIM but no joy.
But if I use the phone to make calls its fine.
Its really weird to say the least.
It could be the password causing it, is there anyway for me to disable the password outside of the phone itself? Such as using desktop manager? Or should I just bite the bullet and update the firmware?

Jun 27, 2010For some unknown reason my Blackberry refuses to connect to my home Wifi. The Wireless AP is a Buffalo Nfinity B/G/N and I have several other devices connected, two Wireless N laptops and a Wireless G Ethernet bridge, no issues at all there.The phone sees the network, asks me for the passphrase and tries to connect, but then fails with "Unable to obtain IP address".MAC filtering isn't enabled and the AP is currently set to WPA2-PSK AES but changing that to other options seems to have no effect, same failure message on the Blackberry each time.
