Apr 3, 2012I've recently bought an iphone 4s, but I'm having trouble synching my itunes to my iphone. It seems to synch for a few moments, the top of my itunes tells me that it's synching 'step 2 of 5' for example, but it never completes it, and my music never appears on my iphone.
It says that the iphone could not be synched because the required disk could not be found. Itunes is not the default player for audio files, could this have something to do with it?

It is a pain to try and keep track of sent / received emails and then print to pdf from a computer later on. I need to archive outgoing and incoming emails as digital images with dates -- "c_06_03_2010_a.pdf" would be the first email I generated today to the client.

Mar 18, 2012I have an iPhone 4 that I sync to iTunes (v 10.6). I used to have the ability to "Enable Disk Use". This was an option in the Summary page of the iPhone when synced. I have since updated the OS to 5.1 & I no longer see this option on iTunes when my phone is sync'd via USB cable. How to re-enable this?

I am trying to use this program called windirstat to map out my iphone's contents and see which files are taking up the most room but I cannot use that program unless my iphone is it's own drive. Also I tried this program called Expandrive which did allow me to make a drive out of my iphone but I was not able to see all the files on my iphone.

I read the manual and understood that iCloud has a capability to store files (though I am not sure if it is talking about any files from computer or just the files manageable in iPhone). So I tried to access the iCloud. It asks me for an apple ID. But when I try to use my currently active apple ID it says, "UNSUPPORTED APPLE ID, iCloud requires an Apple ID that is an email address." When I created an Apple ID a few years ago, I made it same as my Yahoo email address, just without the <<@yahoo.com>> part. So I had to create a new Apple ID just to use the iCloud. I entered all my information including my email address. But the system tells me, "INVALID EMAIL ADDRESS, This Apple ID is already being used. If this is your account, reset a forgotten password at iforgot.apple.com."...Hey, I am sorry, but I haven't forgotten my password. The system doesn't allow me to sign in using my existing ID. And then, when I try to create a new ID, it doesn't allow me to create a new one because my email is already used. What am I supposed to do in this case?

This is a new problem I'm having.I've updated to the latest iTunes offered to my MBP running 10.6.8. My itunes is 10.6.1 (7) and my iphone is 5.1 ith no updates avail. I thought it may be due to not having enough free space on the iphone so I'm deleting many photos and voicemails, memos, etc, but deleting them is not working. Jun 5, 2014I have an iphone 4 which I have always synced with my computer without problems. I bought a new computer, transferred my music library which I can play fine on my computer but when I want to sync my iphone to this new library, i keep getting the message that there is not enough space on the iphone to sync. I added a few albums to my new library and that's why I want to sync between the computer itunes and my iphone to get them on my phone. The info on Itunes says I have 2.39 GB free, yet it won't sync. I even unchecked everything on the music sync page of itunes and created a playlist of all my songs (1789 of them) and tried to manually sync with just that playlist. It still won't work. I do not know what else to do and have already spent hours and hours fussing with this. I don't want to use Match on my phone because when I travel, I don't always have wifi or data to access from the cloud.Â

Jun 3, 2014I have a new replacement 4s. I am trying to set it up. I hate iCloud but need it to sync my calendar to my phone. I mistakenly set it up to sync Contacts too and found out it synced ALL contacts which I do NOT want. I used to use iTunes to sync only selected contact folders (one I call Sync). Others are too sensitive to have on my phone. So I turned off "where is my iPhone", and turned off "Contacts" on iCloud. It said it would delete all my contacts on my phone the next time I sync (using iTunes). So I try to sync my Contacts using iTunes and find that under "Info" on the device tabs my only possible selection is ALL contacts with the "Selected" button greyed out. But even leaving all checked, I get the message "iTunes cannot sync information with the iPhone because syncing has been disabled on this computer (my Mac). Do you want to enable syncing?" I hit the button "Enable syncing" and I get the error message "Syncing cannot be enabled on this computer" with "Override" and "OK" my choices. If I select "OK" I get the error message "iTunes could not sync information to the iPhone (Name) because a sync session could not be started". I can sync my music and my apps but get this stupid message otherwise.

What is this message referring to? selected items on my iPhone? or on my PC? I should have no problems syncing with the amount of free space I have. I have not selected to install any new apps, just a few songs, no videos or podcasts. I literally have very few items on my iPhone - 30 apps, 707 songs and 1 book.
