I cannot sync my iPhone 4s to iCloud. I keep getting error message "-50" from iTunes. I do have enough space on the cloud because I purchased a $20 1year space. My is also has an error: Not enough space to sync.

I would like to sync my iPhone to iCloud (since MobileMe is about to be removed) for backup, but my desktop Mac doesn't connect to iCloud as I run Snow Leopard (not running Lion, and I have no intention of installing Lion, having heard how many problems that caused to my friends).Having tried to sync to iCloud with the phone, I'm now unable to sync with my desktop iCal or Address Book. I'm getting the "iphone could be synced because the sync session failed to start" I have read the previous posts on this subject, which have been focussed on beta versions. This is a new problem I'm having.I've updated to the latest iTunes offered to my MBP running 10.6.8. My itunes is 10.6.1 (7) and my iphone is 5.1 ith no updates avail. I thought it may be due to not having enough free space on the iphone so I'm deleting many photos and voicemails, memos, etc, but deleting them is not working. I wanted to sync/back them up and then delete.

I have a new replacement 4s. I am trying to set it up. I hate iCloud but need it to sync my calendar to my phone. I mistakenly set it up to sync Contacts too and found out it synced ALL contacts which I do NOT want. I used to use iTunes to sync only selected contact folders (one I call Sync). Others are too sensitive to have on my phone. So I turned off "where is my iPhone", and turned off "Contacts" on iCloud. It said it would delete all my contacts on my phone the next time I sync (using iTunes). So I try to sync my Contacts using iTunes and find that under "Info" on the device tabs my only possible selection is ALL contacts with the "Selected" button greyed out. But even leaving all checked, I get the message "iTunes cannot sync information with the iPhone because syncing has been disabled on this computer (my Mac). Do you want to enable syncing?" I hit the button "Enable syncing" and I get the error message "Syncing cannot be enabled on this computer" with "Override" and "OK" my choices. If I select "OK" I get the error message "iTunes could not sync information to the iPhone (Name) because a sync session could not be started". I can sync my music and my apps but get this stupid message otherwise.

I then added it back as a new account, and synced the account as a brand new install. Everything worked fine and it restored my contacts and synced everything else in the account except Picasa. Now I am getting the Sync Error message for the syncing for the Picasa Web album. This never happened before.

When will Blackberry Desktop Manager be able to sync with MS Outlook 2010? I spent £100 on the latter yesterday after discovering that Windows Calendar can not be synchronised with my new Bold 9700: the sync process ends with a Microsoft Outlook Connector Error message: "No available message stores". Burrowing into Blackberry's on-line support, it seems the most likely cause is BDM - 5.0.1 - trying to connect to an unsupported version of Outlook. (Article ID KB15564).
The result is no contacts or diary on my expensive new smartphone, which is disappointing beyond belief, since Outlook 2007 etc. seems no longer available.

When I start the Media Sync program on my XP machine I immediately get a pop up that says the program has encountered an error and needs to close. It is the most recent version. This problem seems to not to be affected by whether or not Media Sync is started alone or through the Desktop manager.
However, the program opens, and acts like it is running anyway. (Just ignore the pop up.) A week ago, it was seeing my iTunes library and I could use it to put music from a playlist onto my Tour. Now, however, it does not see the iTunes library/playlist. It says it my library contains no songs. Sometimes, multiple attempts to start it it, it will see them, but then I cannot click the boxes that allow me to choose the playlist to sync them to the BB.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently broke my 5s and had it replaced. My phone broke late June 1st evening, and the iCloud recovered my text messages up to 9pm May 31st.Â
I had a number of messages past that point, until at least 1am that night (May 31st night/June 1st morning), which were not recovered.Â
So I'm wondering how often it backs up. From May 31 to June 1 overnight, my phone was charging and connected to Wi-Fi. Why was there no overnight backup? I thought iCloud automatically backs up when connected to Wi-Fi?Â
And is there a way to make backups happen more often?
