I know there are programs out there that let you view your iphone's contents, but I am looking for a way to make my iphone show up with a drive letter and allow me to view its contents. I am trying to use this program called windirstat to map out my iphone's contents and see which files are taking up the most room but I cannot use that program unless my iphone is it's own drive. Also I tried this program called Expandrive which did allow me to make a drive out of my iphone but I was not able to see all the files on my iphone.
So tldr: Looking for program to make iphone into disk drive with it's own letter
I bought an iPhone 4. I read the manual and understood that iCloud has a capability to store files (though I am not sure if it is talking about any files from computer or just the files manageable in iPhone). So I tried to access the iCloud. It asks me for an apple ID. But when I try to use my currently active apple ID it says, "UNSUPPORTED APPLE ID, iCloud requires an Apple ID that is an email address." When I created an Apple ID a few years ago, I made it same as my Yahoo email address, just without the <<@yahoo.com>> part. So I had to create a new Apple ID just to use the iCloud. I entered all my information including my email address. But the system tells me, "INVALID EMAIL ADDRESS, This Apple ID is already being used. If this is your account, reset a forgotten password at iforgot.apple.com."...Hey, I am sorry, but I haven't forgotten my password. The system doesn't allow me to sign in using my existing ID. And then, when I try to create a new ID, it doesn't allow me to create a new one because my email is already used. What am I supposed to do in this case?
Trying to restore a phone with or w/o backing it up and it's saying the disk is full. How much do I have to delete and where on comp do I need to do this? How do I know space has been made?
In Nokia 5800 (S60v5) we had an option to store sms/mail on any disk. It was possible to move messages to SD card releasing space on disk C:Now we can't do that. This option has been removed. Why?Is there any plans to give us this option back again?
Just recently my pc began having a problem recognizing my Bravo as a phone. Until then everything was fine. Now when I plug my Bravo into a USB port, I hear a chime, but no window opens. When I go to My Computer, the phone is shown as Removeable Disk (X:).When I double click on it, a small window opens with this message: "Insert Disk. Please insert a disk into drive X:." Under properties, it appears as Motorola MB520 USB Device, a disk drive. After plenty of research, I have tried changing the assigned letter of the drive twice.Every other USB device I own works just fine on my PC. The only way I can access the phone on my PC is to turn off the pc, connect the phone, power on the pc, and then the phone appears as a phone. When I connect the phone to another pc, the phone appears as it should. Some research shows this problem may be related to Acronis on my pc, but another pc with Acronis on it can recognize my phone. Could this be the result of disconnecting the phone without "preparing" the disconnect?
I have an iPhone 4 that I sync to iTunes (v 10.6). I used to have the ability to "Enable Disk Use". This was an option in the Summary page of the iPhone when synced. I have since updated the OS to 5.1 & I no longer see this option on iTunes when my phone is sync'd via USB cable. How to re-enable this?
im using a xperia neo v . and i've been trying to use the usb on the go function to mount a pen drive to my phone. it does not detect the pen drive. it detects USB mouse and USB keyboard. but USB mass storage devices are not recognized.
I've always been able to connect my phone to my PC with a USB cable and have a folder pop up which would allow me to transfer files but for some reason I can't anymore.
When I connect the USB, my PC makes a noise like when a device has been connected and my phone says "connected as a media device" but I still can't see the folder. The phone is set to connect as Media Device (MTP), not a Camera (PTP).
How can I backup photos to a USB drive from a samsung galaxy s6? I have a micro USB to USB A adapter, but what is the process / app for backing up my photos and vids from the phone to a USB drive.
I started getting this error a few months ago. The solution was to restore and re-jailbreak. Well it came back up a few nights ago, so I updated to 3.1.3 thinking it doesn't really matter, they will release a new Jailbreak soon.So I've been without a jailbreak for a couple days, and just this morning I got the error again. Should I bring my phone into Apple?
I pluged my iphone to a different computer and by mistake syncronised it. In the process I lost many apps but worst is all the privet document I had stored in the "My Disk" app. how I can get those document back?
Im using Iphone 4 32G and a windows XP. the space in my local disk C: is not enough to restore my Iphone but I already backup my Iphone and its on my C: So when I restore It copies the backup again on C: So what should I do? I need my stuffs back !
I am dragging and dropping files in to the local DRIVE folder that installed itself on my laptop. Been doing it for 2 + years and all was working fine.I have just noticed that since late last year - or possible early this year- that nothing has synced to DRIVE on my HTC one M8 (... nor are they in the DRIVE app if i open it up on the laptop)
It definitely seems like a problem with the local DRIVE folder not syncing? (if i drag and drop in to the app on the laptop direct, then all is fine)Also, on the phone, if i go to the incoming screen and swipe down to refresh, i get "Refresh failed: please check your network connection". i am definitely connected to the wi-fi
I've recently bought an iphone 4s, but I'm having trouble synching my itunes to my iphone. It seems to synch for a few moments, the top of my itunes tells me that it's synching 'step 2 of 5' for example, but it never completes it, and my music never appears on my iphone.
It says that the iphone could not be synched because the required disk could not be found. Itunes is not the default player for audio files, could this have something to do with it?
I'm coming from the Android/Apple ecosystem. I used an Android phone as my daily driver and an iPad for all my media stuff. My Lumia is a perfect blend of both due to the screen size. My only issue is that I can't find apps to stream content from my PC to this phone.
I'm trying to download all HERE maps (+2gb worth of data) on my phone, but it only downloads while my phone is awake. How do I get it to fully download without have to tap my screen every 5 minutes?
I've purchased my Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) a month earlier. It has updated to Lollipop 5.1.1 15 days before. Yesterday, I bought a OTG cable but it can't read 64GB flash drive. However, it can read all 2 of my 32GB flash drives.
Why: 1. it is not reading 64GB flash drive? 2. what to do to read 64GB, 128GB or more storage via OTG cable?
Is there / Could there be a way to directly plug an External Hard Drive directly to the Torch? Provided you have the right USB cable ends. Technically its a USB file system, so would the Torch read it like a MediaCard? Not for constant use, just media management.
I want to use an external hard drive that has contents that I want to be able to view on my samsung galaxy tablet or my motorola droid turbo. How can I do this without rooting them? If I have to root is there a guide that is easy to follow for both devices. I have the proper connection type usb connector.
