I am trying to listen to my huge iTunes library in alphabetical order by album. Every week I typically remove a section of albums from my phone (using iTunes) and load up the next batch. I never had any issue with doing this. I manage the music manually and it has always worked. Â
Last night I did the same thing and in the iTunes interface everything looked great, but it was odd because I didn't have a lot of room on the phone. When I looked at the music on my phone, it didn't remove most of the albums I told it to. So, for example, when I look at the music on my phone, "Florence and the Machine" is there and plays. However, it doesn't show up in iTunes when I plug my phone in. Â
Outside of deleting every single song on th ephone one at a time, I'm stuck. No settings have changed and everything worked perfectly until now. How do I get songs off my phone if they don't appear in the itunes interface anymore?!

Jun 18, 2010Okay a while back I encrypted my iPhone 3G's backups, but the password I THOUGHT I used doesn't work. I've tried every password I can think of and it won't allow me to uncheck the 'Encrypt iPhone Backup' checkbox to turn off the encryption.Is there anyway to get rid of this? I don't care about loosing the backups.This setting must be saved on the iPhone, since it keeps the setting if I goto a new PC (my usual system is a Mac) and plug the phone in. Is the data actually encrypted on the iPhone when you use this setting? So, I could probably do it by reformating my iPhone and setting it up as a brand new device, but is there anyway to avoid that?

I switched from an iphone 3gs to an android a few months ago, but when some (not all) friends w/ iphone's text me, it tries to send it as an imessage from their phones. I had a hard time getting icloud songs off from there, but somehow after much trial and error I was able to get those songs off. However, I still have at least 10 random songs on my iphone that I have not intentionally put on there. There is no icloud icon next to those songs. The songs are not on my computer list of songs that are "on this iphone", but they are in my itunes library. I want those songs off! I've tried syncing and unsycing. I've tried unchecking the songs in my library. There still on there.
