I'm going to New York soon and I'm in no rush for the new handset but if the exchange rate is right and its cheaper in an Apple store in the USA in a few months then I was gonna wait and just pick the handset up then.

Does anybody know if I will be able to activate and use it in Canada with my carrier, or will it be locked to AT&T? I don't want to have to unlock it. Otherwise I will wait for the official Canadian release. I will be in New York on the 24th so I'm just hoping to be able to get it early?

I'd like to "upgrade" this line and gift the phone.Since I won't be canceling the voice line or number, I shouldn't have to pay a termination fee, right? I'll just have to buy a data plan for the iPhone upon purchase and cancel it whenever I want to. Will I have to purchase a more expensive voice plan, and can that be reverted back to the $10 plan without penalty?

I have two questions:
1. Will I be able to purchase an iPhone 4 for the subsidized price of $199 still?
2. If I decide to use the one I purchase tomorrow, what will I need to do to activate it? Do they activate it at the store or do I need to go to an AT&T store to have it activated?

I purchased the QuickOffice Pro version. As many have found, now I have two versions of QuickOffice. I just one the one I paid, which is the full version of the software. I want to uninstall the Free (Viewer) version. I have been reading that there is no way to do this unless I root the phone. I do not want to root the phone, all I want is for Motorola to allow me to uninstall the free version, since I bought the full version (is it not the idea to have us purchase the full version of these pre-install software?) and want the space of Demo/Free/Viewer versions to be uninstalled so I can have that space avaialable for other Apps I would like to install!
View 6 Replies View RelatedBesides us waiting for some sign of a software update to address the issues with our Motoroloa Triumph, does anyone else find it curious how difficult it is to find the accessories for the Triumph? I mean, it's impossible to find something by going to the Motorola Store for the phone. However, if you circumnavigate the site and search on all Android Phones, and find the one phone for Virgin Mobile (by carrier), then find the teeny tiny link for Accessories, one does determine there is a BT headset and also a car charger. But wait, the car charger isn't even available yet.
It's not good commentary that there isn't Motorola badged batteries and car chargers and earbuds, Micro HDMI to HDMI cables, USB charging cables available for the product from Motorola, when clearly, this stuff is available on eBay. And I've recently purchased a very good OEM Motorola Charger and USB charging cables... so the question becomes, where is Motorola's support for the phone? I propose someone feedback to Motorola that besides waiting for needed SW updates, we could use a little product support in the way of accessories.

Now this is speaking from a DEVELOPER point of view. Would you like to see iPhone exclusivity stop? To me, yes, obviously, because this means the App Store can be in more hands, and my apps can have a MUCH larger audience. Yes I know there is a lot of market share already, but look at VZW, T-Mob etc and if we got their eyes on our apps. you should be able to fill in the rest. What do you think from a developer point of view?
