I looked on 'Contacts' and all of a sudden, everyone is GONE! However, when I receive calls, it lists their name. How can I restore my contacts on my IPhone 4? P.S. Under 'Contacts', it lists 'Groups", but the only group is ME?!

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe send a droid razr for repair on 8/22 and it was received on 8/24. Received an email at 11:03 on 8/27 that the problem with the phone is not covered under the warrantee and to contact Motorola as soon as possible to authorize and pay for the repair. I agreed to pay $125 plus tax to repair the screen as long as the overheating and battery not holding a charge was looked into. Today I called to see what was going on and was advised that she (rep) has no idea and would send an email and get back to me within 24-24 hours. I advised that was not acceptable and I was sent to the Repair Escalation Department, Curtis advised me the exact same thing and when i explained that my phone has been with Motorola since 8/24 and they have had my payment since 8/27 and that originally I was advised that the repair would be done and the phone back to me within 5 business days and we were now at 8 and I needed to speak to a supervision he stated that he was the supervisor and there was no one above him to talk to. Someone please explain how I am getting the same exact information (none with a 24 to 48 hour wait time) from customer service and the Repair Escalation Department?

(Firmware: 2.3.6)Not sure which app update caused it...Suddenly "Facebook" , "Twitter" and few other apps stopped and a deluge of pop-ups of Force Close appeared on my Screen. Even though I select "ForceClose"..they reappear repeatedly. I could not open the TASK Manager by pressing the Menu button. I could not even select "Power-Off" option.
Finally I had to shut-down the phone by LongPress of the power button on the right.When restarted....All my contacts are lost. I am not able to import from my SIM card and neither am I able to create new contacts.When try to save a contact..."Unable to Save Contact" is the message I get.All the messages I received and Logs are intact. If I make new calls, its getting logged. Only Contacts has the problem...not able to create/save a contact.I have now:

My iPhone 3GS all the sudden went on dim. I tried adjusting the brightness and turned the auto brightness on and off but it is still stuck. I can barely see anything.

My battery life all of the sudden went to about 25% off what it was before. After a full charge the battery only lasts for about 3 hours even when not being used. I've turned off wifi, turned off location services, closed out of all apps to no avail. Is my battery shot? If so, why? I didn't use an iPad charger or do anything else that could have damaged the battery?

For no apparent reason, the status bar on my homepage is transparent. My phone is not jailbroken. I have tried restarting and putting different wallpapers up to see if it changes, but it does not. To be clear, I don't really mind the look of the transparent bar, but I am concerned that something is going wrong with my phone or there has been some sort of attack on the phone, especially since all of the information I can find about this suggests that the phone has to be jailbroken for the status bar appearance to be changed. I would like to know that I could change it back to the normal status bar if I wanted to.

All of a sudden, all my (non Apple) apps fail to open.

Was running fine till last week I powered completely off and on again - a couple of times - right before the problem showed up.(I cycled power the first time because it was running so slowly. The second time because "No WiFi" showed up in "Settings". After the second reboot "WiFi" was back, but after that none of my non-Apple applications would launch.)
Anyone have any idea what the problem is?(It would seem to be DRM (digital rights management) related. But why all of a sudden? Has iOS 3.1.3 been completely "timed out"?) I am thinking to restore from backup - through iTunes. I don't really have the option to "re-install" all my apps from the AppStore. Because most of them have moved on to "iOS 4" only versions...and my old iPhone can only support iOS 3.1.3.

My iPhone 3GS doesn't seem to charge all of the sudden, and won't start up properly.When plugged in, it shows the battery meter at the lowest red slither of power (along with the lightning bolt symbol). It will periodically try to start up on its own, but doesn't get past the Apple symbol. Never gets to the home screen. I tried going into recovery mode to restore, and it manages to stay on in order to complete the restore. The last step iTunes shows is to leave it plugged in for the device to restart and be verified, but when it turns off, it goes back to cycling to the Apple screen and never fully turning on (in which case iTunes will say that it was not able to verify the device), or just showing the charging screen with the lowest possible red bar of power.
