Just in last day or so I've noticed my iPhone 4s is losing charge even while not in use. I've turned off the blue-tooth but not the wi-fi, because wi-fi has always been on and hasn't caused this problem before.

My iPhone 3GS doesn't seem to charge all of the sudden, and won't start up properly.When plugged in, it shows the battery meter at the lowest red slither of power (along with the lightning bolt symbol). It will periodically try to start up on its own, but doesn't get past the Apple symbol. Never gets to the home screen. I tried going into recovery mode to restore, and it manages to stay on in order to complete the restore. The last step iTunes shows is to leave it plugged in for the device to restart and be verified, but when it turns off, it goes back to cycling to the Apple screen and never fully turning on (in which case iTunes will say that it was not able to verify the device), or just showing the charging screen with the lowest possible red bar of power.

My battery life all of the sudden went to about 25% off what it was before. After a full charge the battery only lasts for about 3 hours even when not being used. I've turned off wifi, turned off location services, closed out of all apps to no avail. Is my battery shot? If so, why? For no apparent reason, the status bar on my homepage is transparent. My phone is not jailbroken. I have tried restarting and putting different wallpapers up to see if it changes, but it does not. To be clear, I don't really mind the look of the transparent bar, but I am concerned that something is going wrong with my phone or there has been some sort of attack on the phone, especially since all of the information I can find about this suggests that the phone has to be jailbroken for the status bar appearance to be changed. I would like to know that I could change it back to the normal status bar if I wanted to.
