There were no problems with the phone after that for a few days but it just happened again today, and I'm wondering if I was it is a battery problem.

Just in last day or so I've noticed my iPhone 4s is losing charge even while not in use. I've turned off the blue-tooth but not the wi-fi, because wi-fi has always been on and hasn't caused this problem before.

I posted about a problem with my battery losing up to 30% battery on reboot but got no answers so am hoping somebody will test their phone for meWhen my battery drops to just below 50%, if I reboot by pressing and holding the power button for about 8 seconds, on reboot, my battery has dropped to as little as 13%, even if there was 48% left prior to rebooting.I originally thought this was happening after tethering but it has turned out, it does it regardless of how much or how little I use the phone and even without tetheringI am on stock 2.3.4 XEU, manufacture unlocked and wondered if some kind soul would be kind enought to see if they can replicate the problem. It needs to be the 9100, complete stock and not rooted really as I am trying to determine whether it's a hardware issue or software issue.

Over the last 2 days my iPhone 4s has been very warm (when not charging) and the battery drains out in less than 12 hours while in sleep mode.
Can this be corrected with a firmware restore or is this a hardware issue?

My iPhone recently went into recovery mode, so I had to restore it. I restored it through my iCloud backup, which had backed up the day before. It said to charge the phone as is was redownloading everything, because it loses the battery fast. I was charging it overnight (which I do sometimes, and it always completely charges in that 8-9 hour time period, obviously), but it only went from 20% to 99% in 8 hours! Then I started using my phone, checking to see if everything had downloaded correctly, and in about 3 minutes, it dropped from 99% to 86%.
I know that this commonly happens after an iOS update, but I did not recently update. I am using 7.1.1, which I have been using for a little over a month. Why my phone randomly went into recovery mode either last night (All I did was restart my phone yesterday because twitter wasn't working, and it wouldn't let me turn it back on). Also, my iMessage isn't working, even though I have it enabled. I have to send everything as a text message. My phone just lost 7% sitting idle while I typed this.

Ok so I have a 3GS and used to have decent battery performance, losing maybe 3% over night. Well I jailbroke and like a lot of people had way worse battery, losing up to 10% over night. I did a complete restore and re jailbroke and it seemed a little better.
Well I was charging the phone tonight by USB to my computer. I checked it and saw it was at 99%. I went to watch a show and came back and now was it was at 96% still plugged in and charging. I then rebooted the phone and it was at 98%. Anyone know what the reason for this could be and a solution?
Since updating my Iphone 4S to 5.1.1. I lose about 2% of battery every 5 minutes. Before I updated I could go the whole day without a charge. Now I must leave it plugged in at my desk all day. I double click the home button and close out apps when I'm done, so I have nothing running in the background.

I just picked up two new nokia icons off ebay.. it was listed as new at least.. came in a box etc..
If i plug it in to charge.. it charges at about 1% per hour if that.. turn the screen on and it drops several percent,. use it unplugged and it rapidly discharges maybe 15% or more in a very short period of time.
Im guessing i got a bad batch?
Its very odd that both phones exhibit the same behavior.. and just for kicks i left 8.1 on one and put 10 on the other.
I have a Bold 9000 and it is draining the battery very quickly doesnt even last a few hours with a couple of calls and when its flat will only charge if I take out the battery and put in on a universal charger it wont charge with the blackberry mains charger, car charger or usb connection.I have bought two new batteries and all the same thing, turned off all applications I can see.The phone was bought new from an ebay seller in December and I cant get any response now from them and they are no longer on ebay.I have seen something about updating the system.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHow would i determine what is causing battery power loss. The phone is 3 months old and within the last 2 days only has battery power for 6 hours. Is there an easy way to determine what applications are running without having to check each one. I have tried resetting the factory settings, but it indicates that there is an application or call that needs to be closed. There is definitely no call running so it has to be an application.
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo this just started today. I just unplugged my S6 from my charger, after charging it from heavy usage a few hours ago. I boot it up, and a minute later I notice that my battery has dropped by 2%. A few seconds pass and now the device was at 97%. I was puzzled and was wondering if my battery life was getting bad.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a weird issue that's been happening sporadically on my Verizon S6 (stock, 5.1).
On about 3-4 occasions now, I've turned off the phone at night, and the next morning, when turning it back on, I've experienced a loss in battery percentage. I.e., Charged phone to 100%, turned off phone overnight, turned on phone in the AM and battery percentage reads 75%.
Last night, it happened again, only I shut the phone off with about 75% battery. When I turned it on again this morning, my battery percentage had decreased to about 62%.
It's odd, and have never seen this before. This has only happened after the 5.1 update, so not sure if its related to that.
Why would a phone that is turned off be using battery power?
Both my wife and I have Defy's owned for 4 months and upgraded to Froyo 2.2 some weeks ago.both working normally. Then yesterday my phone, for no obvious reason, came up with the message "Invalid Battery.Your device battery is invalid and cannot be charged. Replace the battery with an origional motorola battery." Also the battery symbol at top right of display is black, not green, and has a? mark in it. I have checked my battery, which came with the phone, and it is official Motorola with hologram. So is my wifes.I tried swapping the batteries and while my battery works perfectly in her phone, her battery in my phone gives the same errors.I then tried a master reset....Twice! Both successful, wiping all my data, and requiring me to set up the phone again, but problem still remains.

View 3 Replies View Relatedwhen I have tethered for a while, if I reboot the phone afterwards, my battery drops by around 30% just on the reboot. For example, if I have 44% left after tethering and then reboot by pressing and holding the power button until the phone reboots, by the time it's finished booting (which isn't long) it has dropped to 14% and it tells me to plug the charger in. If I don't plug the charger in (this is a real mystery this bit), every few minutes, the battery will keep increasing by 1%. This is without really using the phone much that it does this. It will keep regaining that 1% every few mins until I reboot the phone again and it remains at whatever it's got up to during that time.
I'm ringing Samsung tomorrow as I am pretty sure this isn't normal behaviour. However, I would like to ask if somebody might be kind enough to tether for about half an hour or so with their s2, then reboot (using power button and holding it til phone auto reboots) and tell me if you also lose more power. And then of course, see if it starts to creep up again.I know that's quite a big ask and would only advise somebody with truly unlimited data to try it as tethering consumes a lot.Bear in mind that tethering also drains battery anyway so make sure you have at least 60% prior to trying this just in case you lose the power too.
