May 26, 2012I just got my iphone 4s today and synced up and my apps wont open. Ive had this problem on my ipod before and just downloaded an app and redownloaded but it didnt work for my iphone. I tried everything. i went to my local store and they didnt know what to do they tried hard and soft shutting it off. they told me to call apple so i did and they told me to restire my iphone on my itunes and tried resetting all my settings and nothing works. My apps that i purchased have still remained un open and im getting very frustrated. I just spent $400 on this phone and its not working! I have no idea what to do! ive spend hours on the phone with the apple people and i get no where!

Mar 14, 2012I updated the firmware of my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 yesterday. After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?

Jul 2, 2012I've lost all of the ios 5 apps -- settings, weather, contacts, phone, messaging, safari, etc -- on my phone. I tried the "search iphone" to the left, but found nothing. I can receive texts, but when I swipe the screen to read it I get this response, "this url wasn't loaded: sms:/open?groupid=655". Also, I can receive calls, but am not able to place calls. When I sync to itunes the apps/icons still don't show up. I've looked through all the folders & found nothing outta place.

When it finished I realised that several of my app's have been removed (from both iTunes & phone).My concern is that both App's are 'diary' type apps and as such have 2 months worth of daily transactions put into them - so I do not want to just download the app again from the App store, as the data which i have already put in them is the true value. Please can you offer any advice on what I can do to either:-
a) get my iphone to roll back to this morning (before I sync'd - also I havent done another sync for two weeks so reverting to the last sync will also not help)
b) if there is a way of getting this to kick into gear and add the app's back without losing the data that existed on the iphone (app) before I sync'd it today.

Jun 18, 2012I had been having a problem with my iPhone4s and Itunes communicating. Every time I attached my iPhone iTunes would report an error that the Library could not be updated. I followed instructions on how to more the .XML file, restart iTunes then reimport the library. The problem is that now NONE of the Apps I had are there, and if I attach my iPhone it wants to delete the apps on the phone and replace it with the ones in the iTunes Library, which at this point is only two! How do I get the apps on my iPhone BACK into my iTunes library!

Jun 28, 2012My iphone recently lost sound on all the apps. The ringer works however. When I try and press the vloume button on the side all I see is the ringer logo. I dont see the level indicator. When I mute the sound and then unmute the sound i briefly see the level indicator. I can only change and hear sounds when I change ringer sounds. Video playbabck also has no sound. Apps installed also have no more sound.
