IPhone :: Lost Music And Apps After IOS 5.1 Update?
May 4, 2012I have an iPhone 3 (iOS 5.1) and iTunes (10.6.1), both of which I updated last night. Now, all of my music and apps are gone on my iPhone. I've tried syncing, and it did not work. How can I get my music and apps back? All of my messages, contacts, pictures, bookmarks, etc. are still on the phone - just the apps, music, and videos are missing.

Nov 29, 2011Last week I did a device software update, I am currently running OS 6.0, Bundle 2949. First of all, my Twitter and Facebook Apps were downgraded to versions from when I was still using my BB Bold. More annoyingly, I lost some languages on my device. I had Spanish, French, Italian, German, English and Dutch. Since the update I have Russian, Greek, Dutch and English (US and UK), but I cannot add or delete any of these through desktop manager.
I tried deleting and adding in the same update sequence. I tried deleting only, then I tried adding only, and every time I get an error saying the action (or update) "could not be validated due to unsatisfied dependencies." So then I tried deleting a regular app, thinking maybe there was an "unsatisfied dependency" in an app. Same error, and nothing happened. And the same again with a different app.

Mar 14, 2012I updated the firmware of my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 yesterday. After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?

Sep 6, 2011The new Android release has removed the ability in the music player to stop a song, and you can no longer clear out a playlist (I don't mean deleting a playlist, I mean clearing one out, which essentially stopped music from being played). Tech support level 2 told me that this was purposely done by the engineers at Motorola, but I have no idea why, and I can't seem to get in touch with them.

Jul 2, 2012I've lost all of the ios 5 apps -- settings, weather, contacts, phone, messaging, safari, etc -- on my phone. I tried the "search iphone" to the left, but found nothing. I can receive texts, but when I swipe the screen to read it I get this response, "this url wasn't loaded: sms:/open?groupid=655". Also, I can receive calls, but am not able to place calls. When I sync to itunes the apps/icons still don't show up. I've looked through all the folders & found nothing outta place.

Apr 12, 2012How to retrieve my lost music. My laptop that I had all of my music on was ruined a leak in my ceiling. So after that I pretty much only downloaded songs to my phone. I just updated my phone and lost all of my music. It said that it was backing up my phone so I thought it was putting my music in a file on my new computer. When it finished I realised that several of my app's have been removed (from both iTunes & phone).My concern is that both App's are 'diary' type apps and as such have 2 months worth of daily transactions put into them - so I do not want to just download the app again from the App store, as the data which i have already put in them is the true value. Please can you offer any advice on what I can do to either:-
a) get my iphone to roll back to this morning (before I sync'd - also I havent done another sync for two weeks so reverting to the last sync will also not help)
b) if there is a way of getting this to kick into gear and add the app's back without losing the data that existed on the iphone (app) before I sync'd it today.
