I just hit "restore" when using my wife's iphone on her mac for the first time - it deleted the photos she had on there already. I thought it would sync and add them to the computer. Can they be recovered?

I just restored my Iphone 4 from a backup from April. But before restoring from the back up I didn't upload the photos I had taken in between the time of the back up to now. Is there a way of retrieving these photos??

I lost my iphone 4s about 2 months ago. I went out and bought a new one but kept putting off syncing it with my computer. Today I finally connected it to my mac computer and it gave me the option to restore this new iphone to the one I had lost a few months ago. I didn't know much about the process so I restored it. But since I had waiting so long to sync this phone I had over 100 photos and many new contacts. The restore did gave my new iphone the same background and I've noticed some of the setting I used to have are back as well as all the old photos I had on my old phone. But it deleted all the photos I had taken on my phone over the two months between buying it and now finally syncing it and it also doesn't have any of the contacts I added between now and then. Is there any way to get those back?

For reasons which are now irrelevant, I had lost some photos through attempting to sync with iTunes. (I clicked off the process before it had completed-hence why I only lost a few) In order to get these back, I tried a 'restore from backup'- unbeknownst to me, this back up was from a few months ago. I have now lost 300+ photos (among other, less important things). I am on Windows 7 and have found the backup files in windows explorer as suggested in numerous forums but have no idea what to do with them now...I understand that these photos may simply be lost. But at the moment I'm refusing to believe that they have been deleted from the face of the earth as NOWHERE along the line did I press 'delete' or any other such commands.

I mistakenly selected restore backup on my computer with my iphone 5S plugged in and little did i know it was going to delete all of my photos and contacts that I had from the past year and send me back to my last backup which was when ios 7 came out (LAST YEAR!!) I really need these photos and contacts back, so I did some research about recovering deleted files on my phone and turns out applications like these exist. I just don't know which ones to get. Most of them range from $50 to $100 so i really don't want to have to buy two of them. Some of them are called PhoneRescue, MobiSaver, Wondershare Dr. Fone...etc and i tried all of their 'free trials' and none of them worked.

When using my slide out keyboard or even my touch screen keyboard, everytime I hit the space bar my screen will either freeze and make me go back to my home screen or shut the touch screen keyboard down and make me bring up the touch keyboard up all over again and the text will freeze where I can't see what I'm typing. It not only does this in text messages, but also in apps and in the internet browser.

We have WiFi and the phone indicate that they are connected to the WiFi when we are in the house. However, my bill from Bell indicates several instances where the phones (all 4 at different times) are connected to the 3G network for 24+ hours at a time. Additionally, it shows the phone connected twice during that time period (as though there were 2 different sessions at exactly the same time, but with differing amount of data connected)
The explaination that Bell gives me is that there are 'minimized' applications still working on 3G even though the phone says it is on WiFi, and that each of these opens its own 'connection'My understanding of cell technology is that the phone can only access one method of Internet connectivity at a time, and that it can be explained as a 'pipe' or 'straw' carrying connectivity and all of the data. I have never heard of a phone that can access two different types at the same time, nor one that uses separate 'sessions' at the same time of either type of connectivity.
I would assume that I turn on my phone in the morning and I am in my house, it indicates WiFi, so I can browse the web, collect my email and update my Facebook on that 'session' that lasts 4 hours until I leave the house. Now my 3G kicks in and the email that I still have open now collects through the opened 3G session, as well as the page I left open downloading something.When I get to work and enter my WiFi area there, the session would then collect my email through WiFi again, and my download as well.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently had to do a restore on my iPhone 4S to factory settings and followed the instructions of the Apple customer service rep exactly, and selected the option to restore via iCloud backup. I have everything restored on my phone except my SMSs. This is devastating to me because I had conversations dating back quite some time, and information I need. I think it's odd that all other data was restored, except SMS. The last backup was about 20 minutes before the restore, and I have my settings set to automatically back up to iCloud.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an iphone 3GS using 5.1. I regularly sync/backup to my Macbook running 10.6.8. I probably do this once daily at least. The last sync/backup was this morning. Sometime this afternoon I lost all my contacts on my phone. It may have happened when I plugged my phone to my imac at work to recharge it (it is set not to sync, just to recharge, and I also do this regularly without any issues.) Recent and favorite phone numbers are there, along with texts and phone numbers for those, but only one contact was saved. This contact was added earlier this week. I tried to restore using the backup in itunes, but nothing came back. When I check for backups in the Devices tab of the Preferences, the only backup that shows up is the one where I tried to restore the contacts. I tried "Import SIM Contacts" through the Settings on the iphone, but nothing came back. I have also tried the trick with finding a message with a restored contact name (I have one) to "magically" get back all contacts and that does not work either. Everything else on the phone seems to be in place; just missing the contact names. Cannot find these backup files on my computer or on TimeMachine backups either.

I kept getting this error 21 message everytime i tried to restore my iphone 4. Everything started one morning my iphone 4 kept on vibrating and i really didnt know what to do. So I unplugged it from charger. After that the screen went blank and everytime it keeps showing it to synchronize to itunes.
