Jun 14, 2012I was reading a page on safari and suddenly it crashed, the screen displayed white and green lines, and then a blurred version of the apple logo. After afew seconds the normal logo came on and the phone began rebooting, but the screen went black. It won't turn on or reset now, and definitely has charge left in it.

Galaxy S6 :: Unresponsive And Requiring Reboot Running 5.0.2?
May 8, 2015Twice in the past week I got my phone out and it was off and unresponsive. I had to do soft boot with power volume down to get the phone working. This is something that I have not experienced with other android phones. I am on Verizon with stock Galaxy S6 running 5.0.2.
Is this a defective phone or some application causing problems. What steps can I take to troubleshoot the problem?
Having my phone randomly stop working is unacceptable as this is my primary line. I can't afford to miss calls. I need to get this fixed.

Nov 18, 2011The following has been happening since before the latest update, and continued after.My phone will randomly reboot itself (there doesn't seem to be any correlation with what I'm doing) and then hang at the rotating red logo.If I push the power button the display will turn off, but after that no buttons have any effects.If I plug the phone in the display comes back on to the unlock screen, but the touch screen is also unresponsive.The phone is definitely still running though, as my bluetooth headset will reconnect and time-based notifications will still happen (I have the phone set to beep every half hour).If I leave the phone sitting for a significant length of time I will notice it getting warm, and it will eventually reboot again and behave normally.Battery pull does nothing.Wiping the cache partition does nothing.I've done a factory reset before, and this makes the problem go away for a while, but it comes back.

Feb 11, 2010Has a Storm and it just shut off on. When I pull the battery, the red light comes on for a few seconds and the screen and buttons light up. Then, it starts over. 20 minutes later and it's still in that same cycle.
It's rocking Verizon's official 5.0 and she doesn't do anything to modify or hack it. I've never encountered this before.
I'm wondering if the OS became corrupt, but we're @ Red Lobster and there's nothing I can do now.

Theme's have no real effect from what I've noticed. Unless you have a really big gfx intense theme.

May 20, 2012It's stuck on the apple logo screen and I've tried entering into DFU mode, I've tried hard resetting it, and I've tried connecting it to my computer.
I don't know exactly what happened before this occured as it's my mom's phone and she said that all she did before this was accidently shut off the phone and when she tried to open it, it was like this.
I'm about to just let the phone's battery die in order to shut it off and see if that works but does anyone know what's wrong or if there's a faster way to cause the phone to shut off so I can restart it?

Mar 14, 2012For the last couple of weeks my screen has been starting to act kind of weird. The problem is that the screen become unresponsive from time to time. For the most of the time when the screen stop responding I can "reset" it by pressing the sleep-button and then wake the phone up again or tilt it to landscape-mode. It's very enoying and I don´t know what to do. For example, just a regular text/sms takes like 8-9 "resets" as described above, to finish.
I use the latest software for both iOS and iTunes. The phone has not been a subject to "brute force" or any kind of liquids and part from a few very small scratches the phone looks like new (kind of).

Apr 11, 2012My iPhone 3gs has become slow and sometimes unresponsive. There are boxes around the areas I press and when the phone turns on there's a box around the time at the top of the screen. When I press on the "slide to unlock" area a box appears around the banner holding the slide bar, the bar will slide along slowly and then once the keys for entering the password comes up boxes appear around the keys I press but the numbers won't enter into the password so I am unable to lock my phone. I am not quite sure what to do, I have seeked answers online but cannot find any.

Apr 22, 2012My touchscreen has stopped working. There were no error messages. It was intermittenent for about one hour before it stopped completely. At first I could turn it off and turn it back on again. It would work again for about 5 minutes then become unresponsive again. I am unable to turn it off even now. I cleaned the screen, it wasn't dirty. I've updated to iOS 5. I restored to factory settings and its the same issue. It hasn't had a bang or anything.

May 17, 2012I dropped my iPhone 3G onto hard tiles and the top half of the front screen popped out. Was getting flickering visuals on the screen as I tried to press the phone back together. I realized the power button had somehow turned sideways, so I attempted to push it back into place. The rest of the screen then popped off. I reconnected the wires but could not see anything on my screen. Put it on the charger last night and heard it beep like normal. When I woke up this morning, though, it was completely unresponsive. No visuals, no sounds, plugged into the computer and it's not being recognized. Tried to reset, still not getting a response.

Sep 5, 2014I've been having some trouble lately; with my iPhone 5s running iOS 7.1.2, 64 gigabytes of storage. It was running completely fine until a couple of days ago, when the screen began to not react to my touch. I initially thought it was a hardware problem, but the phone has not taken any damage as far as I can tell and the screen resumes working when I restart it. The screen works, for the most part, on the right side; but from the left edge to about a centimeter in it is completely unresponsive.
Occasionally, the phone will begin to act as if I am tapping it on the left side, although I am not touching it. Turning the phone on and off again provided a temporary fix, as did hard resetting it and factory restoring it, but after a few minutes of being on it becomes unresponsive again. I cannot unlock it without using the fingerprint reader due to the unresponsiveness, but once I do unlock it there is not much I can do without the left side.
I tried removing the screen protector but nothing happened, so that is eliminated. I did, however, get a new SIM card and service carrier recently, but that seems unconnected. The climate I now live in is much more humid, so that could be a problem, but a new, state-of-the-art phone like the 5s shouldn't be having problems with that, right?

Sep 8, 2010Is anyone else with a jailbroken app having a problem with the home button not always responding to clicks? Sometimes I need to click it 2 or 3 times. Seems like a software issue too.
Also on sbsettings when i adjust brghtness it changes, but when I turn the phone to sleep and wake it up, it's back to the old brightness.

Apr 10, 2012A couple of months ago I was using my iPhone in my room normally. I locked it and put it on my bedside table, when I went back to it I found that my sleep button was very hard to press. I figured it might be temporary and have waited until now. It is now completely unresponsive and I can no longer press it at all. Sep 8, 2014I'm having trouble with my new iPhone 5s, I'm using the latest software iOS 7.1.2.
I just got the phone today and set it up no more than 2 hours ago And what im experiencing is when I scroll down the screen will jump back to the top of the page I'm on. When I do scroll successfully my finger remains on the screen but the screen keeps rolling down quite quickly. Pressing buttons sometimes won't register and when it does it registers on a letter or number near the one I chose, I understand it could be because I use my thumbs so I've tried index fingers and get the same effect.
Also dragging apps won't work as when I try to do it, it's like I'm removing my finger from the screen and the app jumps back to the original place.
I've done a hard reset soft reset wiped the phone started from scratch cleaned the screen even washed my hands, and still no solution.

Unresponsive Touch Screen (iPhone 5s - IOS 7.1.1)
Jun 4, 2014I started noticing this problem on my phone (iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1.1) where my screen would kind of go haywire without me touching it. For example, if I'm browsing through Vine, it would automatically scroll all the way up as if I had pressed the info bar on top (the one that lets you scroll all the way up with one touch) and then would keep trying to pull down to refresh all by itself. The problem would temporarily go away when I locked the screen, but it would come back once in a while. At this point, I tried turning it on/off, doing a reset by holding the home and power buttons, and restoring it from a backup.Â
Now, the problem has escalated to where the entire screen is unresponsive to touch at first unlocking. It was a minor nuisance, until the entire screen would stop responding while the phone was unlocked and I had been using it. I tried turning it on/off and the reset with the home/power buttons, but the problem would still come up. At this point, I ended up doing a complete restoration of my phone and deleted everything I had on there. The problem seemed to go away last night, but this morning, after I unplugged it from its charger, the problem was back.Â
My current issue now is that the touch screen is unresponsive when I first try to unlock it, but I lock and re-unlock it and the screen works fine. But I have to do this EVERY SINGLE TIME I want to use my phone.

Sep 3, 2014My screen stopped responding earlier today, except for AssistiveTouch, which is not enoough. Also, my lock button stopped working some time ago, so I have no way to power off my phone to my knowledge. I've created a back up of my iPhone on iTunes, but can't restore it or factory reset it because I can't get into my phone to disable Find My iPhone. I also am not connected to wifi, and have no data plan, so Siri is unavailable. I attempted using iCloud earlier to erase my iPhone, which it tried to do, but could not as I'm not on wifi. However, I was given the option to remove my iPhone from the iCloud, which I read earlier would disable Find My iPhone, but iTunes still says it is enabled and I must disable it before reseting or restoring.

I recently purchased some music from the istore the same day. I've tried restoring and resetting nothing seems to work. It goes back to the enlarged image.
