View 3 RepliesIs it possible to put more than one custom greeting on the iPhone 4 with iOS 5? I sometimes would like certain people to know where I am or what I'm doing so they may take the opportunity to join me without me answering the phone each time it rings when I'm hosting a seminar or teaching a class. I would like to record a couple of responses that I could pick from, but don't know if that is possible.

A friend and I swapped Iphones and the voicemail greeting on my voicemail transferred to my old Iphone (friend's new Iphone). And everytime I go to check my voicemails, it tells me that I must set up my voicemail. I have done it at least 3 times now. I am also getting voicemails going both my friend and myself. I called my phone carrier, Verizon, and they said everything was successfully transferred, and are unaware as to why this is happening.

I have set up my voicemail, and if I hold the 1 button I can access and check voicemail.
I do not get notifications of new voicemail since the latest 2 software updates as when I touch voicemail button, It is stuck on the greeting screen, the only button that does anything is the one that takes you to the default or custom, whichever one you rouch and save results in "saving Greeting" which never actually ends and therefore I am never able to leave the greeting setup window and the voicemail never works!!

My iPhone 4 is on AT&T network, and the voicemail greeting will not change. I've saved it under Visual Voicemail, and it plays if I play it there, but when somebody calls, it plays my old one. I have tried setting it by calling my voicemail and changing it there, but that still doesn't work. If I play my voicemail message from calling my voicemail, it plays my new one. When people call, it still plays my old message!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI believe I downloaded a ringtone song into some type of answering/greeting to callers.. I'd like this removed so the caller hears a ring prompt rather than this music.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I got the Droid 2.2, last November, I read over the setup instructions and was able to personalize the greeting on the opening screen. Now that I have changed a few things in my life, I would like to revise the opening greeting. I'm talking about the greeting that is on the unlock screen when you power up the droid. I have read extensively the setup instructions, the forums and such and cannot find the option I used to set it up originally. I thought it was in "settings/display" but the only settings there now are Brightness, Autorotate Screen, Animation, Screen Timeout, Wallpaper Settings and Roaming Banner.
Did an update wipeout my ability to change this greeting?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy menu button loads my 'phone' and not the menu for the phone. I cannot access the menu that includes: hide, move, open tray etc. I cleaned up the phone and uploaded the newest software via the BB desktop application software. I ended up cleaning it up so well it seemed to go back to factory settings as I lost all my apps. It seemed to solve the problem though and I got my menu button to work properly again. I have since uploaded App World and a new theme. The button still worked properly for 24 hours. Today, I turn it on and all is working well but the menu button loads my phone again. Do you understand that the menu does not load, but rather the 'phone' menu pops up as though I'd pressed the phone icon. I wonder if the 'flex ribbon cable' underneath the buttons is misaligned somehow and when I press the menu key, it is loading the green telephone key menu because of malfunction of the ribbon.

I deleted the facebook app from my iPhone using the "press app icon until wobbly" method.I want to re install it cos it was broke but it hasn't actually been uninstalled. I can still see it under general settings (it takes me to a blank page) and if I try and install from the store it tells me I already have it installed.Any ideas how I can actually uninstall it rather than just remove it from the menu?

One (as there are many) of the big frustrations with using an Apple iPhone and bluetooth is that you have to click through four screens to actually find teh Bluetooth button, and the second screen (after clicking in Settings) throws up 'General' just off screen. This is VERY ANNOYING when you are pressed for time and want to get you car Bluetooth connecting to iPhone (as I do not and will not leave Bluetooth permanently switched on for obvious reasons - personal health and battery drain). SO..... one solution, as enjoyed by most of the other manufacturers mobile handsets on planet Earth is to have the bluetooth function accessible/switchable on the iPhone home screen at all times. YES - that would work nicely like it does for millions of others with Android phones etc
So my question is - can I change something on my iPhone 4S to make bluetooth switch accessible on the homescreen rather than buried 4 layers down like it is is so very annoyingly now? I am guessing the answer is 'no' but I will wait to hear if my current sense of futility about this can be overturned by hearing it is possible.
