BB Torch :: Change The ID Associated With A Particular Device?
Nov 10, 2011How do I change the BB ID associated with a particular device? I have recently been given a new BB Torch 9860 by my employers so I now have 2 BBs. However, during setup I associated the new phone with my BB ID that is still in use on the other phone but it doesn't look like I can run both devices with the same ID - so so how do I remove the ID from the new one?
I will be keeping both phones so I guess I will need seperate IDs for both?
BB Bold 9650 :: Device Pin Won't Change
Aug 19, 2010I have upgraded from a 9630 to a 9650. I went into my BIS account and tried to update the pin but it refuses to recognize my new BB. I called my Cell provider and everything is working on their end, my new pin is registered and works fine.When I click on the Detect new device button i just get the following error
"Unable to detect new device. It may take a few minutes for a new device to be detected. Make sure your SIM card is in your new device and try again. If you do not have a SIM card, make sure your device is activated and try again."The device is activated and all data as well as phone works fine. I can manually setup my emails on the phone itself but in the email settings wizard i have no option to log into an existing account either.
BB Torch :: Reset / Change Device PIN?
Sep 7, 2011Got the Torch, paid for the BIS with my carrier... and now I can't register at the BIS site (mts.blackberry.com). My carrier says that apparently someone has already used my IMEI and PIN on that site, and they can't help me with that. They suggested I write to Blackberry support and request them to change my device PIN.

Aug 11, 2010I can get all of my ringtones to change (phone, email, mms, etc) but I cannot get my SMS ringtone to change. I'll click the sound icon in the upper left hand corner, go to Set Ring Tones/Alerts>Messages>SMS Text and change the ringtone and then save it, but once I look in my phone book to verify it all of my ringtones are stuck on "Sanguine". The only way I can change my ringtone for my whole phone book is to go through and individually change the ringtone for each person.
A couple of months ago I had downloaded CrunchSMS, which I read on other threads may be the cause of the problem, but I deleted it shortly after downloading it. I have also taken out my battery and media card and done a full reboot.

I couldn't add the blackberry email address associated with my device back to the phone because I don't know the password. I created a new blackberry email address, but when I try to get updated in AppWorld it still wants the password from the old address. When I request a password reset it sends the information to the old email address which I can't access because I don't know the password.
Does anyone know how to change the email address associated with my device OR how to have the password reset info sent to a different email address?

May 19, 2015I have my work email setup on my phone using their webmail address. If I use the standard address, i am required to have Maas360 installed, which is not an option with me being rooted. Anyways, if I have the email program I use, which is either Nine or Mail Wise, setup for ActiveSync, my business server will catch it and block me. So, I have to setup the email app to scan for new emails every X minutes.
The problem I am running into, is I did not know that I had to have ActiveSync turned off, so now my device is banned when using Nine mail. So, I tried the same with Mail Wise, and got banned again. Now, on my third app, AquaMail, I have realized the problem, and its working great.
However, I would prefer to use Nine mail. When trying to go back into Nine and recreate my account, i get an error that my device is blocked. I get the same error on Mail Wise. Both list a different Device ID. NineXXXXXXX and MailWiseXXXXXXXX. Is there a way to change this ID? I tried creating a new ID in Titanium Backup and that didn't change the IDs in the mail apps.

I've searched through the knowledge base and deleted CMIME and CICAL from the service book. However I'm running Desktop 6.0 (latest version) on Windows 7, and the knowledge base instructions for change at the desktop are only for versions 3 through 5. I can't find any for V6.
