Asha 30/40 Series :: How To Change The Device Language
Sep 10, 2012
OK so I realise that I have been a numpty but when I first switched the phone on I managed to select Portuguese instead of English and I can't see how to change the device lanuguage back to English in my user guide, only instructions on 'write text language' - is this what I want and if it is as I don't speak Portuguese I am struggling to select 'Options' and then 'writing language'.! I have already tried Vodafone online troubleshooting site but no joy and no joy on You Tube either. Can't believe I am the only person to make this mistake
I recently updated the software of a newly bought Nokia 5250 using the Nokia ovi suite. When the updating finished I discovered that the phone is now in English (instead of in Hebrew as before) and that the Hebrew language is now deleted from the device (or at least I can't change it to Hebrew again nor I can write in Hebrew). How can I restore the language?
I have a simple Nokia phone. It's a very good phone. It's a 2690 model. In Contacts there is a option called "My Numbers" that list my own number. But it displays a wrong number that it's not my number. I cannot find an option to change it. It only displays the number and doesn't show an option to change it.
Does anyone know how to update/change or delete it? Can I do it using PC Suite or Ovi Suite?
I have the opportunity to change from a 6120 to a 2730. I don't understand all of the technical specifications pertaining to phones - does a 2730 have more or fewer features than a 6120 ?
I am needing 3g coverage, music player (with adequate memory) software that interfaces with Lotus Notes, and maps/navigation.
My router is locked down as tightly as it can be. For a device get a wireless connection both the device's MAC address and host name must be entered into the MAC filtering section of the router.
I can find the MAC address, but there is no indication of what the host name is.
Okay so my problem is that I don't know how to change the favourite text message contact, the one that pops up when you've written your message and are about to send it, in order: "Contacts", "Favourite", "Last used", "Number or email" etc.
The problem is, it isn't one of the favourites that you can add to the widget on the opening screen. If I have the fave widget on my screen, they're all empty.
Anyone know how and where I could change this contact or remove the fave alltogether?
I have a problem about my device, it can't be recognize by my PC. I was using media transfer for transferring musics from my computer to my mobile. It works fine until there was a sudden error while I was transferring the musics. After that, my PC wont recognize my device anymore. So i search for the solution in the net and I found the way.
Here it is: "In some devices, if having copied a large number of files (> 4000 files) in Media Transfer USB mode to the device, the PC connection may not succeed any more. If this happens, try deleting files with File Mgr. Application to decrease the number of files below 4000."
How do I view and change email settings on the 2330 Classic? I can only find ways to create and delete mailboxes. It would be hard work going that route to make a small change.
I have a Nokia 6303i and i tried so many themes that have a media player and radio skin, and they just don't work. When I apply the theme and try to open the media player/radio i don't see the new skin. I only get a black screen with a clock in the top right corner. I've tried the same themes on my friend's nokia 6303 classic and they work.
i keep getting the Remove cable or connect a device to continue message on my nokia 6700 classic and also when i connect the phone to the computer the only thing there is on the top left near the battery is a icon with like 2 arrows across it. and when i connect my headphones to the phone the message pops up but my headphones dont work and they are brand new as well.
I entered the password three times wrong , then the blackberry asked me to enter "Blackberry" to continue , and it refuses to change the typing language - my blackberry is arabic ! and i think the problem is in the arabic bold 9700 blackberry devices
i have a nokia 5130-c2 xm for about a year and a half but i only used it for about 11 months but the other months it went for repairs 3 times. 1st time it displayed a massage "contact service"(needed a firmware upgrade from version 6.6). 2nd & 3rd time it never wanted to boot like when windows on your pc never loaded. Now the 4th time is near, not even a month has passed since i went to collect my repaired phone. Would you say the device its self is faulty or just the firmware. I never went to sites that could send me viruses or use any other themes(custom) just wanna know if i should request a new phone since i still have 6 months of warranty left.
know if the Asha 302 auto keylock feature have the option to ask for a security code to unlock?( I am considering the Asha 302 to replace the C3-00 which does not have this option. My old ( low cost) 1616 has this security feature.)
I purchased Asha 302 about 20 days ago and while going through the features when I recorded some voice using voice recorded output was distorted, I contacted Nokia support through email and was told to restore factory setting. After doing the same I recorded and played AMR file it was fine but as soon as I received a call and then I checked the same recorded AMR file it was againt distorted. I reported same to Nokia support and was told to contact Nokia Care Centre which I visited yesterday there NCC people re-installed the software/OS but the problem persists. I was told that phone has to be sent back to company. I am having another Nokia C2 phone which is fine and no such problem there in that model.

it possible to get a Series 40 (S40) handset, such as 6100 or 6700, to automatically sync over the air to cloud services such as Google? I know there are many ways to do this with S60 Symbian handsets (Mail for Exchange, various 3rd party apps) but not sure on the S40?
