IPhone :: Accidentally Created A New Apple Account On New 4, How To Merge Old And New Accounts
Jun 13, 2012
I had an old account but had lost access to the email. In frustration I created a new account to use with iTunes on windows. Now history repeats itself and I've a new iPhone 4 that I want to load with data from both old and new accounts. Do I need to just go to the Genius bar next time I'm in town or is there some way to log into each account, back up the data and merge to the new account?
The situation is that my friend originally had a @me.com account before iCloud existed. This [URL]account is a work account setup by her employer especially for her. She has used and still uses this [URL] for her iCallendars and iDisk. [URL]But before iCloud was realease, she bought an iPhone which she then synced with her mac. And she had to create an Apple ID. So she created and apple ID with... [URL]She used this Apple ID to sync with her mac for itunes. How ever, iCal was still using the [URL] for her work. OK now, iCloud was realeased, and her Apple ID got moved up to iCloud. So her iCal on her iPhone is using the Apple ID callenders which have nothing.[URL] expired about a week ago and this @me.com account had to move up over to iCloud. So she now has 2 iCloud accounts! With no option to move [URL] to her current Apple ID.
I am trying to merge 2 apple ID's but I understand you can't do that. So I wanted to be able to access all my purchases in my iCloud. Is this possible with 2 apple ID'?. Going forward I will only use 1 of the apple ID's.
When I got my iPhone, my niece was trying to be helpful and downloaded some free apps. She signed onto her Apple ID account on MY phone and downloaded some apps. I have my own Apple ID with the iPhone.
Now, when I try to download apps, it is coming up with her Apple ID and requesting a password. How do I get rid of her Apple ID on my phone so that mine is the only one there?
I had a .MAC account which became a MobleMe and then I transitioned to iCloud. I just received a new iPhone 4S and, when setting up the iCloud account on the new iPhone I typed the email address incorrectly. How can I delete the new account, which has the correct Apple ID and wrong email address? I have gone to AppleID@Apple.com and verified the correct email address is connected to my Apple ID. At iCloud.com/#mail I went to preferences and can add or delete an alias email address but can not delete the primary. When I try to change the email it says that email is already taken.
I recently got a new Blackberry and wanted to setup my email, by doing this on a new phone my email account assumed it was being hacked so shut down! I have now created a new email account, but am unable to set it up on my blackberry. On the setup menu it still has my old email address and asks for the password, which I type in but as the accounts deactivated doesn't connect! Therefore I am stuck not being able to add a new email address to my phone.
When I try to log into the App Store or iCloud on my iPhone it sais it has reached the maximum of free accounts on my iPhone. I have used several other Apple IDs on my iPhone in the past, but I want use this new Apple ID. How can I do that?
For a long time i was using my dad's ID and now i have my own and i was wondering if i switch accounts on my phone will i still be able to update the apps i downloaded?
I have searched hi and low so i assume there is no way to set the default DIFFERENTLY for each email account i have (i have three). i know how to set the default for the entire device (options, device settings, advanced, default) but that sets the default for all three of my accounts the same, which forces we to use the pull down to change it. is there no way to have a different default for each account?
I just got a Blackberry Bold 9900 yesterday. During the process of trying to set up my outlook email on my phone I accidentally selected setup "Enterprise Email Account" instead of "set up another email account". Now when I go into the setup options and select email accounts it takes me back to the Enterprise setup automatically. I can't find a way to exit that setup and begin the "set up another email" procedure I have tried turning the phone off/on, removing the battery but still automatically takes me to the Enterprise email account setup/login.
I have two iPhone 4 handsets. One is for work and one is my private number. Currently I am using the same Apple ID on both phones, as I want to use the apps I've purchased on both devices and get my contacts from iCloud.
As I usually bring both handsets with me, it is annoying to receive the same iMessage to both phones. Is there anyway to create two separate "iMessage accounts" such that I can use iMessage on both phones, but messages sent to my work phone will only be received on my work phone, and similarly, the iMessages sent to my private phone will only be received on my private phone?
I tried add a hotmail account , i choosed automatic configuration, accept ,aplication closed and go to home.i searched for this on "Accounts" and it isn't but when i try to add it appears like predictive text "xxxxxxx@hotmail.com"and it says "this account already added"
A friend of mine recently purchased an iPhone 4S, but he hasn't a credit card nor does his parents want to give him their credit card number to create an iTunes account. Now, I googled the problem and saw that he simply has to choose "None" when asked for payment type. But he told me there is no "none" option there. I checked it myself and saw there is really no one. You have to choose a credit card or PayPal.
I tried to type a random 16-digit VISA number but it doesn't work.
Has Apple really removed the "none payment type" option? What should the mate of mine do to open an iTunes account? I mean, it ***** as he can't download any apps.
My husband got his iphone first then linked it to my account so when I got and iphone it restored into his information. How can I seperate these phones on the same account?
I am closing my Yahoo address and opening my Gmail address. I wanted to redirect mail from Yahoo to Gmail. In the attempt I changed my Apple ID to [URL]. My iPhone didn't follow. How do I fix it?
