Mar 24, 2012A friend of mine recently purchased an iPhone 4S, but he hasn't a credit card nor does his parents want to give him their credit card number to create an iTunes account. Now, I googled the problem and saw that he simply has to choose "None" when asked for payment type. But he told me there is no "none" option there. I checked it myself and saw there is really no one. You have to choose a credit card or PayPal.
I tried to type a random 16-digit VISA number but it doesn't work.
Has Apple really removed the "none payment type" option? What should the mate of mine do to open an iTunes account? I mean, it ***** as he can't download any apps.

Recently, when I try to buy or download a free app, I get an error message that says Paypal is not supported on my iPhone. I forget) asking me if I wanted to stop using that vendor. I misunderstood the question, and I chose "Yes," but did not realize it would mean Paypal was removed from my iPhone.
