Use the iphone connected to the energy, can harm the battery?

i usually charge mine from around 10-20% all the way to 100% and it has been fantastic......but right now i am charging mine and it's nearly 1am in uk and it's only on 71% and i dont think i can stay awake much longer......
I definitely dont wanna leave it plugged in overnight so i was wondering will i harm the battery if i take it out soon without waiting till it's fully charged? I obviously dont wanna make it less effective cos so far it's been awesome.
I am a perfectionist, and I am curious. Once, a little while ago, I jailbroke my iPhone 3G (somewhere in de OS 3 saga). I was quite surprised by some new features and I kept the jailbreak for a while. So I got texted, my call history extended et cetera.
But for some reason I wanted to get back to Apples pure, not modded, OS. But I still wanted to have my SMS history and Call History et cetera. On quite a few forums I read about an easy DFU mode and restore with the latest backup I made within iTunes. Written at those forums was that no jailbreak data was backupped in iTunes. Of course, this was a normal backup in iTunes, but from a jailbroken iPhone. I did my restore and my iPhone worked quite well. In fact it still does perfectly, with all histories and logs, in iOS 4.0.1.
But my question is: is there still some data in my iPhone right now from when it was jailbroken, tranfered with a backup created when it was jailbroken? In other words: does a jailbreak affect/harm a usual iPhone backup in iTunes in any way?
So, do I still walk around with some weird strings in my iPhone, or some 0's and 1's in some file?
Is it normal or does it cause any harm having the iphone charger with electricity bites on its tips? Like those caused when you connect the charger to the wall...

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia N97 use to be in perfect condition and would charge every time i plug it in. However, lately whenever I plug it in, it charges and then it stops and says "Unplug charger from power supply to save energy" and then it says "Not Charging" and then it charges again and then it doesn't. The light near the charging slot always turn on and off multiple times. I have to play around with the charger and plug it in and out multiple times to get it to work. When it finally starts to charge, it takes extremely long to charge. It used to charge quick but now it take hours. Also, if it is charging, and I accidently touch the phone or the cord, it will immediately stop charging. Then I have to play around with the cord again so it will charge.

View 3 Replies View RelatedRecently, I've got myself a Creative Soundblaster Roar 2, and when I connect it to my friend's Ipod, it shows the battery status on the ipod. Same happens when I connect it with a LG G3. But when I connect it to my S6, there is no such feature. Do I have to enable it in the settings? Or is it just a feature only available on IOS and LG.The speaker does come with a battery indicator, but its pretty vague. 3 lights only, and it indicates Full battery, 75% and low battery only. It'll be great to know the exact amount.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have collected probably 15 different chargers the last couple of years that I use at various locations to charge my Blackberry, iPhone, and a couple of Samsung Google Nexus Phones. That is every device other than the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and the Torch before that. I get the familiar message "the charging source connected to your blackberry device cannot charge your battery", except when connected to RIM manufactured charger or fortunately the USB port on my laptop. How in the world can every phone other than RIM's Blackberry take a charge from the various power sources without problem. I had the problem to some degree on the Torch, but figured RIM would catch on and get it fixed. Now I have the new Bold 9900 and it does not even work on my trusted 12V car charger. If 4 or 5 different devices work with multiple chargers and the Bold 9900 does not work on any it has to be a RIM and BLACKBERRY problem.Maybe the guys in Waterloo are just totally insulated from the rest of the world and only own BlackBerry phones with Blackberry chargers and believe there is not a problem. At least it appear that way with this charger issue and several other issues, but I won't get deeper into that here?

I updated my Bold 9700 OS to 5.0.0.862 about 2 weeks ago. Everything was working fine up until Saturday, charging 1 minute then the next nothing, tried wall charger, car charger and also through the computer...nothing . This is the message the phone displays "The charging source connected to your Blackberry device cannot charge your battery."
The lightning icon is there but the battery level does not increase.I cant downgrade the OS since the computer doesnot recognize the device, I constantly get an error message. "Usb device has malfunctioned."
When I connect through USB port to recharge, I get a message on the blackberry that says something to the effect: "The device you are connected to is not capable of charging your battery." I am able to charge by connecting directly to the 115 V AC plug but not via computer.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone is on the Bell network, along with 3 other iPhones in my household. We have WiFi and the phone indicate that they are connected to the WiFi when we are in the house. However, my bill from Bell indicates several instances where the phones (all 4 at different times) are connected to the 3G network for 24+ hours at a time. Additionally, it shows the phone connected twice during that time period (as though there were 2 different sessions at exactly the same time, but with differing amount of data connected)
The explaination that Bell gives me is that there are 'minimized' applications still working on 3G even though the phone says it is on WiFi, and that each of these opens its own 'connection'My understanding of cell technology is that the phone can only access one method of Internet connectivity at a time, and that it can be explained as a 'pipe' or 'straw' carrying connectivity and all of the data. I have never heard of a phone that can access two different types at the same time, nor one that uses separate 'sessions' at the same time of either type of connectivity.
I would assume that I turn on my phone in the morning and I am in my house, it indicates WiFi, so I can browse the web, collect my email and update my Facebook on that 'session' that lasts 4 hours until I leave the house. Now my 3G kicks in and the email that I still have open now collects through the opened 3G session, as well as the page I left open downloading something. When I get to work and enter my WiFi area there, the session would then collect my email through WiFi again, and my download as well.

I find very useful be working on my PC connected, via Bluetooth + Nokia PC Suite, with the nokia 2690, thus annotations in calendar and contacts are automatically synchronized in both sides. My question : working in this way, can cause a noticeable extra consumption of battery ?. Let us say I am making 5 to 10 annotations by day.
View 8 Replies View RelatedSince updating my E71 to v500, and then to v510 just recently, I have been suffering from terrible battery life when the phone is connected to a WiFi access point. I'm sure it's not a hardware problem, as I noticed it as soon as I first updated to v500. If I leave the E71 connected to WiFi, my battery will be flat in just a couple of hours and the phone is noticeably hot to the touch. I initially thought it may be the battery being a problem, so I bought a new one but still exactly the same.
On another point, the Podcasting application is now terribly slow. I wish I would have never updated from V300, which was fine. I've tried reinstalling the F/W a few times, and not restoring from a backup, but still the same problem. I also read in another thread that someone deleted the Lotus Notes application, and it fixed this problem, but alas, has not done so for me.
I have had my phone connected to the wall charger for hours now and it just keeps flashing the Sony Xperia screen and vibrating. The LED light turns on for a second then turns off. It's like it is stuck in a loop.

What exactly happens when the phone says "battery full, unplug charger to save power" and the white charging indicator goes off? Does the phone software automatically stop the charging process?Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and the world laughs louder :-)

I can't get my iPhone 5s to connect to my MBA. The iPhone connects to other Macs no problem (when I plug it in to the Macs at work, it connects fine). I have tried different USB cables. I have tried different USB ports. I have reinstalled iTunes. I've reset my iPhone and restarted my Mac. All other devices (USB drives) connect via USB without a problem.Â
Other iPhones connect to iTunes on my MBA without a problem.Â
It will charge via USB - but it won't show up in iTunes.Â
In the past, it has been able to see the iPhone but it has been very intermittent and I can't seem to work out any pattern to when it connects and when it doesn't.Â
