I recently had to change my apple ID & password and have synced my iphone but on the iphone it still registers with my old apple ID - can someone please tell me how i can change it.

When you either sync you iphone or just connect it to itunes? In other words, if you plug in your iphone and there is an update possible, itunes forces your iphone to update. Can they legally do that and if so, would they ever do that?

Assuming all the models have 4.0 or 4.01 on it, do they update it to the newest firmware for you there? I only ask because my upgrade availability finally got taken care of, and i wanna pick up another ip4 (which of course I don't want them to so I can jb). My last IP4, I had delivered at home, so I could do what I want. I just don't know what the in store process was.

When i try to update a free App i keep getting message box that Apple ID has been disabled. I have changed my password twice and when i view my apple id from the app store it accepts my new password but i still get the id disabled message when trying to update. View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated my iphone 4s to ios 5.1 last night and then today when I texted someone else with an iPhone using iMessage, my contact came up as my Apple ID email on their phone instead of my name that was associated with my phone number. This obviously caused a lot of confusion because my email isn't my name and the person I texted didn't know who the message was from. The message looks completely normal on my phone and their contact came up fine but mine didn't work on theirs. I also determined it was my phone that was the problem because I texted another person with an iPhone and the same exact thing happened again. I checked to see if anyone else had this problem and I couldn't find any postings on the Apple forum. So if you are having the same problem and/or know how to fix it,

Today my JB'd 3G on 3.1.2 went into a funky state and I attempted to reboot. Since then I've been stuck on the Apple logo at start up and nothing.
So, i put the phone in DFU mode and Itunes 9 is giving me the option to "Update & Restore", HOWEVER, I dont want to do this because I want to stay on 3.1.2 for obvious reasons. I also have been reading stuff about SHSH but I have no clue what this is so one can assume I never did anything prior regarding SHSH.
When itunes has the pop up on the screen saying "update and restore" can I hold "shift and click "update&restore" to choose a 312 ipsw, or is that option only available if restoring without being in DFU mode.
