If you get it an apple store, I know they activate it for you there. Assuming all the models have 4.0 or 4.01 on it, do they update it to the newest firmware for you there? I only ask because my upgrade availability finally got taken care of, and i wanna pick up another ip4 (which of course I don't want them to so I can jb). My last IP4, I had delivered at home, so I could do what I want. I just don't know what the in store process was.
As I was updating my N900 to the newest firmware, my computer crashed (not because of the install, I was running other hardware intencive programs.) and I'm 100% sure it wasn't finished installing the firmware when it had crashed.
But when my computer crashed the phone seemed to running normally and when it was finished installing it worked fine. Is it possible that it didn't finish?Either way just to be on the safe side, how do I reinstall the update to be 100%?
How do I install the newest firmware from Samsung with live recording etc on my SM-G920F newest dutch 5.1.1 (without live recording and better ram management) I dont want to trip Knox....
I have followed these steps: Generated CDA. Nordic language! Then followed these steps! Upload "customize_upgrade.xml" to your phone and make the CDA change. So you have generated the file and you want to get on with it? Well I'll make this as short as possible.
1. Open A2uploader. 2. Click "FileSystem Tool". Re-insert the battery of your phone then connect your USB holding '2+5' keys. Release keys '2+5' when A2uploader detects your phone. 3. Browse to "/tpa/preset/custom/". Drag and drop the "customize_upgrade.xml" file to the right pane of A2uploader. 4. Click "Shutdown FS Manager". 5. Disconnect USB cable and turn on phone. You will notice a "Please Wait" prompt. This is when the CDA is changing. When the prompt is gone, turn off your phone.
But SEUS cannot find any new firmware still? What revision should the the Customize upgrade be?
I have just bought a C5, and I use a MacBook Pro. Can I ask, how do i update the firmware as it is out of date. I have found the Map Updater and the Nokia Browser software, but it doesnt have any options for updating firmware that i can see.
Since going to the APPLE store and being told yesterday that the 50.1 update was the best update ever and trusting an APPLE employee.I've had nothing but problems, my iPhone's battery drains faster. Turning brightness low, turning everything off. The battery still drained.I came into the store today; low and behold I got my phone restored, didn't help. Do you think there's ANY possible way I can replace my phone to one that doesn't have the newest update?
I would like to know how, other than plugging my MOTOACTV into my computer, can I download the update. I've tried several times without success to receive it

New Sony Ericsson software is now available for your phone. Update your software to get the latest features and corrections, and to keep your phone in the best possible condition. When the new software is available, you may receive a message in the notification bar of your phone. The easiest way to get the new software is to accept this update.
Do you think if I do a factory reset BEFORE installing the latest update that may help 'clear' out the few 'bugs'? ie, cannot even get the indoor calibration anywhere near close to what it should be also, I think mine has an issue with the screen timeout function and a few other things.
I was wondering (since I have a few things on my MA that are not working correctly)...Do you think if I do a factory reset BEFORE installing the latest update that may help 'clear' out the few 'bugs'? ie..cannot even get the indoor calibration anywhere near close to what it should be...also, I think mine has an issue with the screen timeout function..and a few other things..Now, if i DO a reset before installing...After the reset, when I connect my MA to my computer, will it prompt me to go to the most current update or not?For the last update, I just connected and everything was fine.....I'm not that great with computers and I would NOT want to turn this into a Customer Service issue -- if you know what I mean...
I just started researching IPhone hacking over the last week, and it seems to me that the obvious way to block this, is to disable iTunes ability to upload custom firmware to the iPhone by holding down option while agreeing to reloading firmware. I would think that iTunes could only allow firmware to be downloaded from a registered apple server.
The argument that it would require a customer to have an internet connection is poor, because just about everyone does, and people could take the phone to an apple store if they did not. No less restrictive than "no cash" for iPads—most people have credit or debit cards (yes I read today that policy is terminated). Or would hackers just create something that can upload the firmware and simulate iTunes so this doesn't matter?
I would like to upgrade the ISO for better dim situations, and other settings as well.Camera hardware/firmware to know if Apple could enable capabilities like this on the iPhone camera (4S)?
I've searched the downloads for iphone 4 firmware upgrades. Anyone have info on where to download the latest firmware, and if it's generally as easy as a software upgrade.
I have a 3GS firmware version 3.1 (7C144) that I want to update to firmware version 3.1.2. Is this possible? I don't want to update to 3.1.3 because I want to be able to keep my unlock. The only reason I would like to update is because there are a few apps that require 3.1.2 to work. Should I just leave it and say forget it for now? Or is it possible to update just to 3.1.2?
I have an iPhone 3G which is currently jailbroken using QuickPWN. My firmware is version 2.2.1 with Modem Firmware 02.30.03.
Without the more recent 3.x.x firmware I cannot use some of the newer Apps which require this update. With all of the banter about preserving baseband and future unlock & jailbreaking what is the best way to update my firmware and re-jailbreak the phone?
I was trying to update my iphone and it told me that my firmware was not compatible. What do I need to do? It also appears that I am not able to download the newest version of itunes. I click on download, and nothing seems to happen. I am using a pc.
