I just updated my iPhone 4 to the new software 5.0. Now every time I send a txt it's followed by a swoosh sound. I would like to know how to turn this off. It's very disruptive in quiet environments. I've checked my settings and can not find an on/off button for that particular alert.

Yesterday my bb rebooted and when it turned back on I had a new icon under my personal email envelope icon. The icon is a yellow envelope, with a swoosh under it. It's my boyfriend's iPhone & we've dropped it plenty of times in the past going on 6 months now, so you can imagine it has plenty of cracks & the back had come off to where we taped it back on. Recently - a few days to a week ago I dropped it & it seemed fine until I tried taking a picture of our cats and the camera opened to a black screen. Everything else works fine except the speaker when we call out we have to put it on speaker for someone to hear us - already tried cleaning out all the ports. I don't want him to go to the iPhone store and have them complain about all the issues wrong with the phone and go extreme bill on him either. Yes I have tried restarting his phone, I just don't want to completely reboot it when it's under his mom's account & her iCloud. & The front facing camera works.

My iPhone will not respond to anything. It will not turn on or off with the power button. The home button is not responding. When I hook up my iPhone to charge, there was not even a sound it made when hooking it up. What should I do? I dropped it under a running sink 3 weeks ago. Its been in rice since. Ive tried turing it on but it just stays on an apple logo. Now there a pieace of rice stuck in the charger hole so i can't connect to anything. I took it to apple the guy said since its water damaged $150 for a replacement. But ive heard that if i just say it wont turn on and not mention the water they'll replace it for free. Also the liquid indicators in the adaptor and headphone jack both havent turned red well it still looks white so... also it still under warranty. ^^^Please READ first^^^Will they be able to find out that its water damaged? I wont tell and the indicators are still white?For a free one what should i say? should i say in wont turn on? what they think its just outta charge and i cant charge it because that pieace of rice is impossible to take out.Will they be able to take the rice out? I understand the maps don't support turn by turn voice guiding at this stage, but I thought ovi maps would at least be able to show a driving view instead of a birds eye view for navigation...Might be a bit of a lamens question, but if anyone could shed some light, I'd appreciate it. I'm in Australia and Sygic is not available. I'd purchase it if it was available.

Once in BB Maps, click on the Start GPS Navigation, then the BB button, and choose track up. I put the zoom on 2 and it makes for a pretty good voice turn by turn free GPS.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIt has previously glitched when turning on, but it always does turn on. It's fully charged, I had it charging all night and in the morning it worked fine. I was turning in on and off a couple time during the day and it started fine. Went to turn in on later and nothing happened. Nothing lit up or anything. I took out the battery and put it back in and nothing. I tried charging it for hours and still nothing. I've only had it about 5 months and the battery seems fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought my S6 about 3 weeks ago. I was using it normally, but then I left it and when I came back it wouldn't turn on unless I pressed the volume down key too. After that it kept turning off after 15-30 minutes I turned it on, everytime, and then it simply wouldn't turn on whatever i did, even if a pressed all 4 buttons for 10 seconds. Then I simply pressed the power button and it turned on. It behaved normally for that whole day.
I went to sleep with 45% battery and it died. Again it wouldn't turn on unmattering what i did, and after like 5 hours i pressed the volume down and power again and it turned on (after many tries), wtih 27% battery - and it was always off, but after like 2 minutes it died again, and only turned on, after many tries, when I presed vlm dwn, power and home together, giving me the restart screen with 7% charge. (not that dos/cmd-like, with hard reset and all, only a custom os and restart). it worked normally (draining battery fast), and then shut down again, even if i was charging it, though the whatsapp green led is flashing, so i think it's not completely off.
