IPhone :: Trying To Get IP 4 / Best Option?

figure out the cheapest method of getting the 4g.I currently have a 3gs on a family plan(2 lines). One line is a dummy. I had to open it because my previous iphone got stolen so it was the only way to get the discounted price. My goal is remove one line permanently but Ive heard that if you pay the ETF then you'll have to wait 90 days in order to open a new contract. So how can I get around that with having 2 lines open?
Unfortunately I am not eligible for the early upgrade fee on any of the lines.

My iphone asked if I wanted to update and I hit yes. It said to plug into ITunes so I did. My only option is to "restore". It didn't ask if I want to backup first.I don't have service on phone and I don't want to restore. How can I go back to "not" restoring?

No matter how hard I look I simply cannot find the select runtime option in the developer's menu to switch to ART. It's simply not there. I have a Rogers LG G3 and the device performance has been pretty sluggish since I bought the thing.

i just receivedan htc desire z/g2 from hong kong. it is running android 2.2. but it seems it is the older t-mobile g2 version.... i dont see the personalize button anywhere, nor do i see any of the live/interactive wallpapers or how to change them.....i am in mexico and will be using the telcel gsm network...anyway i can update this to the newer version??...i really have no clue what the differences are, etc. i go into menu > settings> and dont see any personalize option or wallpaper option...this is my first android phone.

So here is an odd one. I've noticed my iPhone 4 acting weird with the proximity sensor so I did the full reset of my phone. Now since then, I've gone to setup my lock code again and thats no problem. Expect the only option I see is immediately... I dont get to choose anymore the frequency of the passcode. I've tried to reset again and turn my phone on and off. No go. I've changed the password, turn the code on and off. No go.

Ok, so I have had my iphone since launch day. My fiance got hers today. We were going to try out the facetime so when we got home we logged into the wifi, but neither of us have the facetime camera icon under contacts, and when we call each other we don't have that option. What am I doing wrong?

I ordered an iPhone 4 for my mom. I told her to have one of the (iPhone 3G/S owning) relatives to back up her iPhone 3G. Just back it up.INSTEAD of simply backing it up, our relative did something, I don't know what, but called me to ask why nothing restored but 4 songs. All of her data is gone!
I don't know what was done or why. I am in a different state, and they did the opposite of what I instructed. Is there ANY way to restore backed up data IF it was indeed backed up through iTunes? They're using a Windows computer. Is it somewhere in a system directory? Can Apple tech support help? I'm livid right now because I assured my mom that all would be fine if she did what I told her to do.

I have my gmail account set up on my iphone 4 and I noticed that if I go to:
Settings -> Mail, Contacts and Calerndars -> choose my account.
There is an option to sync my calendar. I assume this syncs my calendar items from my iphone with my google calendar? How does that work? When does it sync? When I dock my phone to sync with my PC or does it sync over the air? Does it work well? When I enabled it. It asked if I wanted to keep the data from my local iphone calendar. I don't want to lose any data so I said yes then it said that this would likely cause duplicate data. Whats the deal there? It would be cool if my calendar data synced in a smooth way with my google calendar but I would just like some additional information so I am sure I know what I am doing here.

An iphone 4s without facetime! I bought an iphone 4s from a retailer, i found out that the iphone 4s was originally came from UAE with a carrier etisalat. so called etisalat and i was informed by the Representive that the facetime was really banned in the country and was remove with the IOS 5.0.1 as defualt but they also verified that the iphone is factory unlocked, then i was advised that all i need to do is to restore the my iphone and i will have my facetime back since it is not banned in this country (Hongkong). so I tried to update my iPhone to iOS 5.1 however facetime setting still missing! check restriction no facetime, check phone setting and theres no facetime activation option. tried to factory reset the phone and choose country and region facetime still not available. So what i did is called apple and i talk to apple care Representative a very rude Agent and loves to Interupt his customers. i was told that whenever i update or restore my iPhone it contact the UAE apple server. and it doesn't make any sense im not in UAE im in Honghong. So i ask the rep. what can we do to make itunes contact hongkong or singapore apple server instead. Apple cannot give me a direct answer.So ask him if it something to with IMEI , Model or Serial Number, and they cannot give a direct answer again..... Come on Apple whats the sense of you releasing a factory Unlock if theres a Restrictions i Know that it the Law of UAE but you should do something About based on the location of the Customer....

I've just bought this unlocked iPhone from appel, but then I do not have the Group Message option under the SMS/MMS column in settings? why is that?
Also, my frined's iPhone have this option that allow his phone to only show the word "message"when someone texted him, instead of showing the text itself. I do not have the option neither

Blackberry and Microsoft mobile platforms offer this. Clearly Apple isn't losing sales because of not offering a Snooze for the native calendar, but it is an extreme nuisance to not implement what seems as such a simple feature.
I can't see Apple ignoring what many business users would find useful for no reason. Is it a patent issue? I don't understand how it would be if both Microsoft and RIM have this feature...

Recently I was trying to order the mail-in service for my friend's iphone 4s 64gb, and it seemed that there is no mail-in option listed at all, only "reserve apointment" and "express line". The next minute I have tried entering the Serial of my iPad 3 as well as my iphone 4s, the option appeared in the list again... The thing is that its a paint it the arse for me to go up to the nearest Apple store, wich is miles awat from me.
