May 10, 2012My iPhone has stopped playing sound, the sound is on and it will ring out loud but when I go to play music you don't get the option to turn the sound on, I had been playing my music earlier on today and it worked but I then upgrade to 5.1.1 and it has now stopped working. May 3, 2012The shuffle feature on my iPhone 4S does not seem to be working. When I select an album and hit the "shuffle" button, it plays the tracks in exact order, starting with track 1. If I advance by hitting the next track arrow, it goes to the next track in sequence.
I have confirmed that the "shuffle" button is on (arrows in the upper right are highlighted), and the repeat button is off (arrows in the upper right are not highlighted).

Sep 4, 2010I have the iPhone 4 and a new Sony car deck, model CDXGT540UI. It has USB so I can connect my phone and change the songs through the deck (as opposed to changing songs through the phone).
The issue I am having is when I plug it in, through the deck I select the (only) playlist and shuffle the playlist but each and every time I get in the car the songs are played in the same order. It's like it's chosen a set of songs in random order and frozen it. It would be nice to hop in and listen to a different order each time.
Does any one who connect their phone to their deck have any suggestions?

Mar 17, 2012I have only had my Iphone for about 6 months now. It does some things very well.. others not so much. Here is one that I just cant figure out.
I have 80 or so songs in my Gym playlist, from about 70 different artists. (so maybe 3 blue rodeo, 2 Led Zep, 3 VanH etc etc)
When i go into the playlist and hit shuffle it starts playing and seems random but very often will play 2 blue rodeo tunes in a row.
When I say often, I listen to this playlist twice a week at the gym and it happens every time usually in less than an hour.
It is "shuffle" but my phone thinks it knows what I want better than I do? I DONT want to listen to two zep songs in a row.
I have checked the order on my playlist and it seems random enough to me..

Mar 26, 2012I noticed after updating to IOS 5.1 that whenever I play music - it is on "shuffle" all the time - whether the shuffle button is actually enabled or not. Also, touching the skip track skips around, skipping ahead 2-4 songs, or back 2-4 songs - as if it's on shuffle all the time.
I deleted all music from the iPhone, checked my playlist that I sync to the iPhone, and resync'ed all the music - same problem.
Why is it on "permanent shuffle"?

Feb 26, 2010I love the Blackberry product. It's safe to say it's the best phone I've had thus far. However there is one issue that i can't get around. It's simply the fact that i can not turn off Blackberry Messenger when i want to.I don't like the idea of it being on all the time. There are points where I'll have 3 or 4 messages just waiting and feel obligated to check them. Not to mention the issues that arrive after you've read messages (r) and don't respond.I know it's a simple fix really, however over the past month I and quite a few people that i know whom have BBs have discussed the same issue of "always being connected". I've reached the point where i've been inquiring with my service provider about removing the data package all together as to get rid of BBM. The quick easy solution is to uninstall it. However it's not that i don't find it useful when i want to use it. It's just that the majority of the time i have no choice.
I'm sure some would say, well perhaps you just need to turn the phone off but thats not so practical. I feel if it's important you can call. If i'm busy the little busy sign doesn't stop people from messaging. Perhaps i'm a little neurotic but seriously.. It drives me slightly insane that flashing red light.Anyhow, for the love of all things good and pure.. please PLEASE have your dev team put in a feature where users can turn off their BBM should they want to. It's just another thoughtful feature for an all around thoughtful product. I'm sure i'm not the first and i'm positive i'm not the only one.

Apr 17, 2012Recently, I have been very irritated with my iphone's music playback because the volume is inconsistent. For almost every song, as it starts playing it will start at a normal volume then decrease suddenly to a common level. It sounds like the volume difference created by sound check. Besides this, doing things such as skipping, turning shuffle on/off, turning repeat on/off, and other minor things will change the volume. the most notable is skipping, which reverts the volume back to the loud version (as if sound check was off), while turning shuffle and repeat on/off only changes the volume slightly (barely noticeable unless playing at a loud volume). I have tried to ignore it for all this time. it would be nice if apple had a simple email contact option to ask questions as well, but apparently they either don't or it is impossible to find, and that ****** me off even more.

I have been using the repeats etc so I do know where it is. I just cant access them anymore. This is following yesterday's episode of yahoo mail nightmare. I have done the reset settings, and the home+off button but no help, still no repeat.

I have the shake to shuffle off and in my playlist the shuffle is off when I start running but after the first song plays it shuffles and on the playlist current song playing has shuffle on so again I turn it off and after one song it is back with shuffle on. It does it only when I run if I'm walking the shuffle does not turn itself back on. since I have had this phone since last year when the 5s came out and have never had this problem during running until the last month.
