IPhone :: Stops Coming Out With Cleaning Cloth / Now No Sim Ejector Tool?
Jun 22, 2010
First, the iPhone stops coming out with cleaning cloth and now no sim ejector tool?WAY TO SAVE MONEY APPLE! What next? No Apple Earphones when the next iPhone comes out next year?
Not a big deal, but I remember there was a little black cloth in the box with my iPhone 3g when I got it two years ago. Even my 27" iMac just came with a bigger version of said cloth. I opened my iPhone 4 last night and no cloth? I guess they didn't feel the need to include it this time???
I had no idea that my 3G phone came with a black cloth. I guess I never looked hard enough. I was opening it up today and noticed it. I cleaned off my iPhone 4 screen and now its really clean (of course once i touch it, it will change).. So is it ok to wipe the screen with the cloths? I'm sure it is.. but afterwards, I started focusing on the feel of the screen.I was thinking that when I first opened the phone.. the screen was really smooth and my fingers would slide without resistance.. now I have myself thinking that after wiping it off.. its stickier and gives resistance.
I took my phone to the Apple store to have the 30 pin connector looked at. They said there was corrosion on the connector and that was affecting the charging. I'm considering using contact cleaner from Radio Shack. I'm looking for ideas on how to apply it and clean the contacts in such a small space.
I mistakenly tried to do migration from my windows pc to my new Macbk air without first setting up mac. Suspecting task not rightly done (no pop up window to ask which files etc to transfer), I cancelled while it was transferring. Now my mac is doing the 'cleaning' process but has not stopped for over 12 hours. What shall I do? Can I restart mac and stop the cleaning process?
From last year? I hope they bring it back this year, it's a good way of seeing if an Apple store near you has any iPhone stock or not, and states all the models too.
As I was talking on my relatively new Bold 9700 it just completely died! The battery was charged but the screen and everything just went black. It will not power on. I have removed the battery and put it back in and the only response to that it the red LED light coming on for a few minutes then coming off.
I just whant to ask should i use memory cleaning and how many time a week and is clearing your event log good because it helps to make my blackberry faster.
I just got my N-1 today and it is AMAZING. My only problem is the fact that its a fingerprint magnet. I plan on adding a screen protector but as of right now the screen needs to be cleaned. Any advice on what sort of material to use? I don't want to scratch up the screen.
I have had my N8 for months now and I love it I love the camera the best I been trying to take some new photos but It seems hard to auto forces and some are bury?
Looking closer I can see my camera has dust, hairs, smudges on it ?
How can I clean my camera without making it worst?
I have rooted, de-bloated, and installed an LED notification manager, which has made my phone nearly perfect. The only lagging issue is the overly busy Status/Notification bar and drop-down. Things I would like to change:
Status Bar - remove AM/PM from the clock - remove NFC icon when active - change battery status to something that takes up less space, the default is icon AND percentage. I'd ideally love to use the Circle Battery Mod.
Drop Down - remove the brightness slider - remove the "s finder" and "quick connect" buttons.
I have a 3GS running OS 4.0 jailbroken with Pawnage tool. Everything seems normal except that iTunes is acting really weird when I try to synch my apps. When I plug my phone into iTunes and click on the "apps page", instead of seeing a screen shot of my iPhone showing all of the apps I have installed, iTunes shows a blank page. The wallpaper of my phone is displayed, but the rest of the phone is completely blank (no apps, not even the default apps or dock apps like the phone, iPod, email, SMS, calendar, etc). When I tried synching my phone, iTunes rearranged all of my paid apps in alphabetical order. I then rearranged them and tried synching again, only to find the iTunes had put them back into alphabetical order again. ITunes wouldn't recognize any of the folders that I created either. Each time I synched the phone, my folders would be deleted.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this problem? I read this article on MacWorld where the guy reviewing iOS 4 (and those who left comments) had the same problem with their stock (unjailbroken) iPhone so, I think its a iTunes problem as opposed to a jailbreak problem.
From MacWorld article: "I did experience one issue where, after creating a number of folders in iTunes, and then syncing my iPhone with iTunes, all the folders disappeared and my apps were rearranged (on the phone) in alphabetical order—an incident that required quite a bit of time and effort to recover from."
Screen won't turn on after cleaning trackball.I must have disconnected or broke something when I took it apart?I looked through it for obvious issues but didn't find anything. My tour will turn on, red led for a few seconds, then keys light up and functions fine just the screen stays black.
So my Nokia E71 got **bleep**ed up and Straight Talk replaced it. I put my old memory card into my new phone. Whenever I turn it on it starts to install something... then ends up saying "Untrusted software on memory card. Go to application manager to install"There are old apps I had installed on my old phone in the app manager that I can't remove, and I think this may be the problem. when I try to remove them it says it failed. I can't see those apps in the OS or use them. They just appear as installed in the app manager. What do I do??
I have a Curve 8520. I was taking a little look around it last night and saw this "Memory Cleaning" option and I thought "I wanna clean it's memory of cache and such stuff" - so I enabled it. I then locked the phone and it said it was going to start and would take a few minutes. Half hour later it was still "going". By going I mean it goes to the white screen with the timer, after a while in the top right it does the whole "receiving/sending data" arrow thingy, then goes back to timer. Then it goes dark; the red light stays on, then goes out, and the white screen reappears.
I thought this was normal, but after it happening for half an hour I thought "surely not" - anyway I decided to leave it going overnight. When I woke this morning my screen was black; blasted thing must have been doing it so much during the night, it drained the battery! It's now plugged it, and it's doing the same thing - there seems to be no way of stopping it. The phone won't turn on. And it just keeps doing the same thing - I fear something's gone wrong and that it's now broken.
I would like to perform a hard reset on my N8, returning it to the condition it was in 'out of the box'. I am hoping this will give a nice fast phone on which to install the forthcoming Belle update. I'm not bothered about contacts, calendar, sms, photos or music - they are all backed up.I do however, have a pile of games from the Summer Gifts promo that are installed, and I want to keep. How do I backup these games to ensure I can restore or reinstall them after the hard reset? I have already checked the Nokia Store and it doesn't have them listed on my download history.
So I just got my Blackberry yesterday and while I was tweaking around and setting my passwords, I enabled Secure Content and it said that it will start Memory Cleaning and that it'll take a few minutes. I waited for it to finish but then it just died down on me. It went off and then whenever I'd try to turn it on, a solid red light goes on and then it goes to the white screen with the clock-loading icon thing for 5 minutes then turns off then does it again or just remains off. I tried pulling out the battery then turning it on, charging it for 3 hours straight, the 101 on Reinstalling the OS on a Bricked Berry and it still forever loops on its boot up. I don't know what happened or why it did that and to think that it was barely a day old when it happened. Any suggestions on what to do besides taking it to my carrier?
I have been trying to access a website that I normally visit daily and today it was telling me that about memory being full. Its only when i try to access my inbox, yet the the rest of the pages will load (including facebook).I deleted a bunch of pics off my phone and thought if i enabled memory cleaning, it would clear my cache, cookies, etc. the prompt said it would save changes when the device was turned off and rebooted. I did a battery pull and now what is happening is my issue.
after i pulled the battery, I get a red blink of hte led, then a black screen with a clock in the middle (obviously the loading symbol) and then the screen showing "blackberry" with a loading bar.Once the loading bar is done loading...nothing! It goes back to turning off the device and reloading from the start. It has been doing this for 2 hours and the device will not go to the home screen, it just keeps rebooting itself. I have done 2 or 3 battery pulls now and it keeps doing it. Would it have anything to do with the "memory clean" enablement? or is the peice of cr@p toast now? And have i lost all my contacts??
After reading the posts here about assigning a different texting app rather than using VZWs stock texting app, I decided to try it. I disabled the stock app, which DID remove it from the lock screen. It left a blank space. When I dragged down toward it, it opened the camera app instead.
I noticed in Manage Apps> App Info that there is a selection called Launch by Default/No defaults set, and a button marked Clear Defaults. This section is grayed out in every single app in manage apps; how to enable it? I'd like to disable VZW text messaging, and enable Google Talk in its place.
Secondly - after the ICS update, I now have multiple references to the same apps in Manage Apps>All Apps. There are three separate references for Backup Assistant Plus, and two for Google Maps. Looking at App Info, some are the old versions (pre ICS) and some are the new ones (post ICS). Is there a way to delete the old references and clean things up a tad?
I just got out of a live chat w a Motorola rep, and they had no answers either. Or maybe I should quit digging into the phone and just enjoy it? LOL it's like picking at a scab.
i got my BB last week ok, so, i got invited to a group, i was the 30th member, the chat and images uploaded were loading so my BB started lagging ALOT, i thought it was other thing, so i googled "how to make blackberry faster" and i found an "activate Automatic Memory Clean" thing after activating it, i locked the BB cause i always lock it, then a message popped saying something like "blackberry is rebooting and it will take a few moments" well the few moments were more like a few 10+ minutes, so i took the battery out to restart it, after that a white screen with the loading clock icon appears, then suddenly the screen goes black and red light flashes a bit, then back to the white screen with clock, and so on
I'm trying to backup my mums nokia X6 but for 2 years I'm getting this error over and over again. My last successfull backup was made in 2K10, since than it's **bleep**ed up. I'm afraid to do phone restore, coz I have no backup, nor I'm afraid to do system update.
I am having some major battery draining issues since patching to Android 2.1, which I have noticed many other users were experiencing too. I found, in another thread, that using the repair tool may solve the problem (it had worked for other users), so I figured I would try it. Unfortunately, the repair tool goes through a preparation process, and then fails. It says "the update of software has failed. Please consult a technician". And yes, I have mounted my phone properly before running the process - I am not technologically challenged.
What I would like to know is how can I correct this problem, if any others had experienced the same issue, and how they worked around it. I would prefer NOT to read all the the responses from people that have nothing better to do with their time than write hate-mail about this phone, and how you are going to go demand a refund.I just want to fix it so that my battery works for a couple/few days again, and I can run the repair tool to get my phone back to normal.
I am trying to transfer my music from my HTC One M7 to my new HTC One M8. I have installed the HTC transfer tool and i keep getting and message that says an error occured, WIFI connection failed. It will start to download approximatly 20 songs then it stops and this message pops up.
I have multiple times a day complete crashes requiring manual reboots on my 950 XL. I tried a full reset without using a backup and that mildly worked. I was now trying to use the Windows Device Recovery Tool 3.1.4. It recognizes the phone but says "Package not available for this device." I got it from microsoft's website and it has firmware version.
