Feb 10, 2010Sometimes a website will have a mobile version (in this case proflowers.com) that will come up if I try to go to the real site. While mobile sites are nice, sometimes I need to see the real, actual site. Is there a way to force Safari to go to the real site? Some sites have a link to the real site, but others do not? I'd like it be MY choice whether I use a mobile version of site or not, but I can't currently figure out how to make Safari take me to the real site when a mobile one is available.

What I do not understand is my N920 with a smaller display, and not really the hardware or storage of the N1520 always loads the desktop version every time.

Sep 3, 2011Is there anyway of stopping my phone from only displaying web pages in mobile format,With my old HTC there was a setting to switch between mobile and standard page format, I tried putting "about:debug" into the browser which gave me some more advanced options in the settings menu and selected normal rendering bade made no difference, Could it be an APN settings issue ?

Dec 14, 2011I've finally bought the "Latest and Greatest" only to be "Greatly" disappointed! I was/am using a USB Broadband modem for internet connection (for mobility) and a cell phone from another provider. Saw the RAZR and preordered from Verizon with much enthusiasm, Hey I'm finally getting with the times upgrading and consolidatingWell on 11/10/11 I received a receipt on the door when I got home, a receipt from FED EX saying they were here and unable to deliver without signature. I jumped back in the car and rushed to the FED EX joint to get my new toy. Well it sure is a beaut! I love it!ell long story shorter... I cannot get Hotmail, Yahoo, Facebook nor my eBay accounts web pages to load on the laptop via using the Hotspot feature. (Among many other sites while browsing) I contacted Verizon several times tried CDMA only blah blah blah.
Verizon escalated me to support out in Utah... TAKE NOTE MOTOROLA! and the Cisco tech there "made some changes" and was able to get me up and running, albeit until after we hung up and I was satisfied that it had been worked around. After about 10 minutes of enjoying "What I have paid for" it quit again and the pages just sit, trying to load and sometimes scrambled.Dismayed, I called Verizon and asked for a new unit, which I recieved last night, (and again had to got to the FED EX joint) IT TOO Will not funtion properly. ( I figured it wouldn't) But hey, even Henry Ford puts out a lemon once in a while.

Apr 20, 2012I am having problems with my iPhone 4S conneting to my home wifi. It looks as though it is connected but safari or any other online application will not load. I have tried resetting network setting but this hasn't worked. If I want to access anything online I have to turn off wifi and use 3G.I don't think it can be a problem with the wifi because there are other iPhones, computers and an iPad all connected to it and it works fine.

Nov 26, 2014If you rotate the phone it fixes itself, and displays the images as normal. I THINK it is only on mobile type sites but could be mistaken. It is like its rendering a tiny version and scaling it up to fill the screen. Which is kind of how mobile sites work on hi res phone displays but the images don't get reentered, they stay super blurry..

Feb 9, 2016I'm having the problem that some of the sites I use are blocked by ISPs in Denmark - torrent sites. Of course I use Googles DNS servers on my home WiFi - problem solved. I would also like to be able to use Googles DNS servers when on mobile data.
I would much rather change some system file that overwrites the APN settings, than install a VPN or DNS changer app.
I'm not rooted, running stock 6.0.1.

Safari gets a bank page and i don't even see my favorites web pages. On email, no sync on my both email accounts that i have configured. Other apps have access to internet.

Mar 19, 2012The browser on my Nokia 701 is great -certainly much better than past versions- but websites 'see' it as a full size browser and so deliver it full size web pages. I have found this leads to much dragging and zooming. If the site also has pop-ups (which can fully obscure the screen!) this can lead to misclicks, impossible to navigate sites etc. Also full size webpages are slow to load and more expensive on data.
This issue has led me to either manually navigating to the mobile versions of the websites I like (bit of a pain) or to simply use the Opera Mini browser instead. The Opera browser is free and websites 'recognise' it as a mobile browser. This means without any work when I surf I instantly get the mobile version of the website I want (assuming one exists), easy to navigate and fast (and so cheaper) to load. In many cases this works much better for me.
So I think Nokia have missed a trick here. Maybe they should offer a feature whereby the user can tell their browser to find either mobile-friendly pages or normal ones. They could even add in a second browser shortcut, one which launches the Nokia browser in a 'mobile' mode.
Now running a 701, beautiful phone to handle and use...now that it has stopped sending my personal information to Nokia via 360Panel [rolls eyes]

Jul 12, 2010Camera will display the button to take a photo, flash button and the button to swap camera views upside down and save the picture in the camera roll upside down even if i hold the phone sideways or vertical. Text messages will show up in landscape even holding the phone vertical also and safari wont switch out of landscape mode also. If i reboot the phone it all works perfect but then switches back to the problems after a few minutes.

Jun 30, 2014Well i can enter Game Center but when i go to "Friends" tab or "Games" tab it just loads forever, if i try with challenges i see the "no challenge" legend some with the turns tab (no turns) since i dont own a turn game and have no challenge from other friends, but i cant see Friends and Games tab since they wont stop loading.
a specific problem with it is that i tried to play Clash of Clans after having deleted it (but not from game center) and the game takes it as a new one as it says im not connected to Game Center.

I have been waiting for 10 minutes and on the screen I just keep an empty screen with (after more than 2 minutes) a full blue bar still "loading".I emptied the internet history and cache.A month or so ago I could open sites without any problem. Can it be that my mobile became slower by anything? Can I maybe verify if it has been hacked? Can it have something to do that I configured my e-mail?

Apr 2, 2010Using the standard browser on my Bold 9700, when I try and do a Google search, or when I look at most pages, the page doesn't load at all. When I refresh it a few times or change between column and regular view some of the page shows up sometimes, but not all of it. I've had my BlackBerry since about a month ago and the problem just started last night.
I've done the battery pull several times, and I've cleared the cache a lot. Problem still persists. Opera meanwhile can load any page.
I don't know of any other fixes, so, is there maybe a way I can reinstall the BlackBerry browser? I would really prefer to use it instead of Opera.
