Aug 5, 2010so every time i download a app from the app store some random white icons show up after the install. this it rock app causing this? i have to respiring to get them off. how do i get this to stop?

IPhone :: Cydia License Transfers To Rock
May 10, 2010I have purchased all my apps, and paid themes through Cydia. I've recently seen the Appsidy is no longer going to be used through Cydia. I'd like to start using rock in that case for my theme purchases and app purchases. My question is how do I transfer my licenses to Rock from Cydia for eveything I purchased. I have tried going to licenses under Rock and nothing seems to transfer.

Dec 4, 2012Random icons create an additional homepage on your Atrix HD? I tend to keep my phone's home pages as minimalistic as possible, only have one, and use Circle launcher on that one page to access my most used apps. Occasionally my phone adds a shortcut to a random app on a second homepage, sometimes its an Icon for an app that no longer is installed on the device. I really like the ability on the Moto devices to customize the # of start screens, the swipe up features of the locked icons at the bottom of the screen for a quick glance is a really nice touch, works great.

Jun 25, 2010Sorry to add to the reception frenzy but I have a rather specific question I could't find an answer to in the existing threads. Is anyone able to replicate the dropped bars phenomenon (with their hand) in normally solid five bar location?
I am on business away from home and my wife shipped me my iPhone. I'm in Waycross, GA. There is no 3G here but the Edge signal is solid. The thing is, I can see the cell tower from my window! I am absolutely, positively, unable to replicate the reported signal problem with my 4. I've tried all sorts of positions with my hand. Stays at 5 bars.
BUT...I'm wondering if this is due to the fact I'm next door to a cell tower? Andy will I ever be able to have children again because I'm so close?
So far, this phone has been awesome. No yellow, no proximity issues and, so far (fingers crossed), no reception issues at all.
BB Software :: Adds On Brand New Phone?
Sep 15, 2011I've just had a replacement bold 9780 after my previous one competely went AWOL.But since getting this new phone, literally like a few hours after getting it I got 3 random adds from people I genuinely don't know, and when asking them how they got my pin none of them replied, although one of them said "don't know" which was helpful
2 were some stupud bleach blonde bints from the UK, and some hench guy who when I looked up on facebook we have absolutely 0 mutual friends and I have a profile set to private so there's no way he could ever get any info from me.I don't understand how a brand new phone's pin can already be spread about when at the time of the adds I hadn't even told anybody about it yet
BB Torch :: 9800 Adds Prefix No's To All Contact Numbers?
Jun 12, 2012New torch bought in Australia adds the No. 86 to the start of each of my contacts numbers when I call/message them. So the contact number 04xx yyy zzz becomes 864xx yyy zzz. Being Chinas' country code I am guessing my phone originated in China???? How do I stop the phone from adding the prefix??

Sep 2, 2015I am facing a bit of an irritating problem on my samsung galaxy s6. When I go to phone -> 1-9 keyboard and use it for the letters (2=a,b,c; 3=d,e,f, etc.), I can easily find the number I need. The problem is that for most of my contacts, when I click them, a second window pops up, asking me exactly which number for this contact I'd like to dial. Now.... I don't have a second number for any of my contacts.
When I go and check them in the contacts menu, they only show one mobile number per contact. When the window thingy pops up, it always shows multiple options of the same exact number, or maybe the same number with some spacings added / removed between the digits. I am 99% sure that the problem is because of google contacts, viber, whatsapp, etc., but do not know how to fix it without removing the contact from the app.

Aug 20, 2015Just recently after selecting stock apps like messaging, internet, etc. instead of opening the app an add and a quick flash to Google Play takes place. I use Avast and it found no problems.

What I was wondering was; is there a way to hide the 8 icons I have showing at the bottom of my screen, until I touch the screen? Jul 6, 2012My iphone 4 16gb keeps on switching itself off, even with full battery charge. In oreder to switch it back on, I have to connect it to my laptop and hold home and power for 10 seconds, then press power. When it's connected to the laptop it will tend to stay swiched on.

Random No Sim Error On IPhone 5
Jun 4, 2014I've been getting a random "No Sim" error on my iPhone 5 for quite a while. If I turn my phone off and back on again (reboot), then the error goes away. This is happening multiple times a week, and isn't associated with any behavior as far as I can tell. Just now I was in the middle of typing an IM message and the phone went into the "No Sim" error state. It never corrects itself once it is in that state, so I rebooted my phone to correct it.Â
I've popped the sim out multiple times, and everything looks good. I just can't seem to get this error to go away, and it is *really* annoying to have to reboot my phone multiple times a week as well as all of the missed phone calls and messages when this happens when the phone is in my pocket.Â
Is there anything I can do other than take my phone back to the Apple Store? I can't make the issue happen, but it happens frequently enough to be quite annoying.Â

Jun 13, 2010Just wondering if anyone other unlocked people run into a problem where they get NO SERVICE. And their phones are all laggy.. When you try and restart it its toast, wont boot or anything.. Causing a complete restore...Im running AT&T on Telus but I dont think thats the issue.

Mar 17, 2012I have only had my Iphone for about 6 months now. It does some things very well.. others not so much. Here is one that I just cant figure out.
I have 80 or so songs in my Gym playlist, from about 70 different artists. (so maybe 3 blue rodeo, 2 Led Zep, 3 VanH etc etc)
When i go into the playlist and hit shuffle it starts playing and seems random but very often will play 2 blue rodeo tunes in a row.
When I say often, I listen to this playlist twice a week at the gym and it happens every time usually in less than an hour.
It is "shuffle" but my phone thinks it knows what I want better than I do? I DONT want to listen to two zep songs in a row.
I have checked the order on my playlist and it seems random enough to me..

Mar 25, 2012Since a few days ago my iphone just randomly keeps going into recovery mode! Its not jailbroken its not anything! its just a iphone I bought updated in iTunes normally I dont understand why this is happening! I had loads of issues restoreing it at first it would not work error -1 came up in iTunes and then all of a sudden it booted as a new iphone. I thought great I got it working again but now if I turn my iPhone off it goes into recovery mode or just randomly it will go into revocery mode and tell me I need to activate my phone.

Mar 28, 2012every since I upgraded my phone to ios 5.1 my contacts got a picture when I get a Phone call.. I know that does not sound like a problem but the picture is of someone else. Sep 9, 2014my one year old iphone 5 shuts on and off at random moments(probably a tech fault) can i get a new one/ get this one fixed?
it just suddently happend, i plugged it into the computer (right after a norton security check) and suddently my phone just dies. and now it won't stop turning on and off constantly every 3minutes, i know it sound wierd but it is true. I have changed batteryes before(sort off the same problem) at a different time off the year. it was during winter last time i got these issues.

May 1, 2012Over the past couple of days, my phone (iphone 4) has been random vibrating and/or making various sounds. When this happens, there are no notifications. It will just sound or buzz for what seems to be no reason. Most of the time, my applications are not on. I have push on for my mail application, but that's it. The phone is in good condition, it's never been dropped or damaged in any way.

IPhone 5 :: IOS 7.1 / Battery Drain Random Shut Down
Jul 1, 2014I have an iPhone 5 running iOS 7.1. Today I left the house at 8:30 am with 100% battery. I had a breakfast meeting and put my phone on the table while we ate and did not use it. By 10:00 my battery was down to 3%. On other occasions, the phone shuts itself down while there's still 30% power, and I have to plug the phone into a charger to get it to restart. When it restarts, it shows >30% battery. I've been struggling with both issues for months (as have numerous friends with iPhone 4, 5 and 5s). I do not believe it is a hardware issue, but rather, an issue with iOS 7, which is when the problems began for me. My old iPhone 4 running iOS 6 would go an entire day of heavy use on a single charge (and usually had juice to spare). There is a serious power management problem with iOS 7 and I'm deeply disappointed that Apple hasn't addressed it. Â
You can conserve battery life by switching off cellular data, closing apps every time you finish using them, and other tricks mentioned by users here, but then the phone doesn't function as advertised and is no longer a smart phone. It is unreliable and essentially useless as a business device. iPhone is advertised has having 10 hours talk time and 10 hours cellular data. It doesn't even come close. I encourage everyone to contact Apple directly to address this problem. Something tells me Steve Jobs never would have let this happen.Â

May 19, 2012When I add an iTunes Smart Playlist to my iPhone 4, the tracks are not in the same order on the iPhone as they are on iTunes. When the iPhone is connected to iTunes, the playlist appears to be sorted correctly but on the device itself, it's out of order. All of my playlists in iTunes are sorted in Album by Artist/Year order, and they occasionally sync the songs in the correct order, but then the order changes.

IPhone 5c :: Dies At Random Times Even When Completely Charged
Dec 4, 2014I bought my iPhone 5c in September. Last week my iphone randomly died once i returned inside frim making a call on the phone even though it had well over 30%. I immediatly thought the cold weather got to my phone and caused it to shut down. I wrapped it in a blanket and put it on the charger to warm faster. My phone stayed off for 30 more minutes. Today it shut off once again. But while i was holding my home and lock button the apple logo appeared as normal. But the screen began to glitch and look static like. The screen then went black and didnt turn back on. Once again i held the lock button and home button. My lockscreen appeared. As i slide the screen to unlock my phone the entire screen went blue and shut back off. Â
I didnt drop my phone or get it wet, this just randomly started. I even reset my phone settings as recommended by other which did not work.Â
