IPhone :: Ringtones Will Not Sync Anymore With IOS 5.1.1 On 4S
Jun 23, 2012
I used to have a complete set of ringtones on my Itunes and on my iPhone 4S. Recently I've upgraded (?) to IOS 5.1.1 and I lost my specific ringtones! they do appear in itunes but when looking at the tone folder on the device, they have an exclamation mark.
I installed the latest version of iTunes yesterday and now it won't recognize my iPhone. I'm using Windows XP. At some point during the download a window popped up that said Windows didn't recognize the iTunes logo or something like that and proceeding might cause connection issues in the future. I paid no atention to it and proceeded since I've never had this issue before. I've tried all of the troubleshooting steps (except for uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes).
The ringtones I have purchased show up in my itunes library on my computer but not on my iphone after repeated syncing. Why am I unable to sync my ringtones although I had assigned them to a contact after purschasing them?
whenever I convert any file to .m4r through a apple app and try to sync it with my iphone 4s it doesn't get added to the ringtone list. I have tried converting any song to ACC format from itunes however the option is grayed out.
I had both created and purchased ringtones on my iPhone4S. I did a full backup of my 4S to iTunes on my Mac. I restored my new iPhone6 from that backup. When I go into my Tones file in the iTunes App, it shows all the ringtones. They are checked. But, when I connect my phone and look at the iTunes App's Tones file of my device, the ringtones show up but most of them are grayed out and won't show up on my phone.
How do I get the ringtones that are grayed out to sync with my new phone? I have looked at their format- they are m4r.
I have unchecked all tones, synced, checked all, applied, and synced again. Nope.
"Sync only checked songs" is checked.
I found the ringtones in my history of purchases, but it was 2 years ago and when I try to report a problem, it says it's too old.
My iPhone's Agenda and MacBook Pro's iCal simply don't sync anymore. For example, when putting a meeting in iCal, it doesn't come in iPhone's Agenda. Same the other way around. Syncing is done via iTunes when connecting the iPhone (iOS 5.1.1) to the MBP
I made a custom .m4r ringtone and decided to redo it since it was a little off. But after deleting the tone on iTunes and resynching my phone, it still appears there in the ringtone list.
I have got the iphone 5 - 7.1.2 software update and I managed to go as far as making a custom made ringtone that shows in itunes as an m4r.
When I try to sync my phone it doesn't pick up the ringtones tho. I tried unchecking and syncing and then checking and syncing again but its not working.
I also can not choose to manually sync my phone. Whenever I click the button for it it disappears.
I am so tired of Apple screwing up my iPhone either with iOS or iTunes updates. This time I updated iTunes to 10.6.1, synced my iPhone, then I got a call and I notice that the ringtone wasn't the one I had set up as the default. I started checking and all my ringtones and music playlists were gone.
Info: MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.1), 2011 15", 2.3 GHz i7, 8GB RAM
For some reason my 9800 Torch will no longer Sync with my Desktop Software. I deleted the program and reinstalled on my computer but got the same messages. What am I doing wrong?
I can't sync my address book with Outlook anymore. It gets to "Reading from Microsoft Outlook Address Book - Record 13 of 111 Records" and then stalls out with an error code - 0x80043ac9. Its the same thing EVERY time, but I think it has to be something in the berry, cause I've tried on 2 computers and no go (exactly the same errors). Any idea's what might be wrong, or what I might be able to do to fix this?
I can't seem to get my Xprt to synch with gmail anymore. It did it when I initially started the account on the phone; but not since. I do see on the phone that it's updating.
First I bought a new laptop and got on that day a new router. With the WiFi Music Sync was okay until last night. Suddenly I was able to sync any data. The iTunes playlists are no longer displayed in the BlackBerry Media Player and my BlackBerry can not longer connect to WiFi Desktop Manager. It is only through the USB connection. But after the USB connection is missing, as I said, the playlists. If I delete the WiFi application on my BlackBerry, I see now the playlists. I use the Desktop Manager 6.0, as the Speedport 722V router, a torch with the software 6.0.0.448
I set up sync when first installing the PC companion, and everything has worked great until a few days ago. Now it won't sync and I keep getting random alerts day and night. I've checked the settings and I have a random looking username which I can't change as it's greyed and not selectable. Password is hidden but only shows 8 chars and not 10 as it should be. The only way to stop the annoying alerts is switch background data traffic off, but then my apps like sat nav need it!
I am unable to sync my contacts anymore, since I have installed office 2010. Desktop manager says that ther eis no outlook profile configured, since I have it.
The latest Desktop Manager is installed from RIM. Any news about when this compatibility issue will be solved?
I have converted everything that needs to be converted, and the songs i have chose are in my "Ringtones" section on my iPhone, but when i sync the songs they still do not come up in my phone..? any ideas on what to do
I'm looking for a way to make my own ringtones (pick song, choose section of song I want, etc.) or a site that has a ton of ringtones ready to DL for free. The ringtones section of crackberry is nice but the quality of some of the songs I want is not good.
not to sure if ATT is at cause but when someone leaves me a VM I don't get an alert starting I have a new VM unless I reboot the phone. I'm running 3.1.2 JB but this all just started happening about a month ago and nothing has changed on my phone.
My iPhone will not boot up, and I don't know what did it. My friend said his iPod won't come on because he charged it on a friend's XBOX overnight, and so did I. I really don't know if the XBOX did it, but it's possible. The other day I turned it off to save power, and when I tried to turn it on, it wouldn't completely boot up. The Apple logo shows up for about a minute and then the loading symbol comes up and just keeps going and it won't ever get to the lock screen. I've tried to restore it. It won't show up in iTunes so I heard about putting the device in Recovery Mode to make it recognizable. It made it show up, but every time I tried to restore it gave me error codes like 21, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, and 1604. My iPhone was on 5.0.1 and at the Restore page in iTunes that only had options to Update and Restore. Update was grayed out, and there should be an update to 5.1. Then today when I tried restoring it the message at the top was stuck on "Verifying iPhone restore with Apple..." iTunes isn't frozen on "Verifying iPhone restore with Apple," it just won't say anything else. I've tried everything and nothing works. I've even tried holding the Power and Home buttons forever, and still, nothing works.
