IPhone :: Rattling Sound Heard Near Camera On Shaking
Jul 2, 2012
Whenever I put the phone on a surface (when the unit is in horizontal position and not on hand), I hear a rattling sound. Also when I shake it, I hear a rattling sound near the camera. What could it be? Should I take it on the store? Or is it just normal?
I recently bought a Nokia 1020 and i suspect that there are something wrong with the camera. The quality of the photos that i take are, in my opinion, nowhere near the ones you can se in reviews and those released by Nokia.
To me it looks like it's only the middle part of every photo that is correctly focused. The edges are very blurry. I have no case on the phone, no dirt on the lens and i have tried to reset the camera and reboot, no difference.
I will attach some photos on which I think you can see it clearly. The images are very sharp in the middle but when you move towards the edges it quickly becomes blurry. Both pictures are taken in daylight with Nokia Pro Cam, all settings on auto.

Is this really normal, i can't recall that I have had these issues on point-and-shoot cameras?
I also noticed that there are a rattling sound when i shake the phone or put it down on a table. I know that the lens is suspended in a "ball-bearing" so this is normal if the camera app are closed, however I get this sound even when the camera app is open and the camera has locked focus. I'm pretty sure the sound is coming from the camera optics. Is this normal?

Recently I've been taking pictures with my 1520 camera and noticed the image was shaking. At first I thought I was shaking so I put it in a tripod and it was doing the same thing. I'm running dev pre 8.1.
So today I went to take some pictures on my 1520 and they all came out blurry. Verifying my phone I discovered that the camera is at fault shaking drastically. I can see from the rear of the phone that when I activate the camera in any app that uses it, it start jumping all around as if the electronic stabilization has gone bad. I did a restart with no luck. I do have a 2 year warrantee with the ms store so it wont be a problem to exchange. But I just don't want to have to redownload everything again.
I've recently bought a Defy+. Now that can hear a flickering noise when I turn on the camera. I tried tweaking the settings and everything but the problem is still there.
First of all iPhone is within 1 year warranty, so when I had this problem before I took it to the apple store and they replaced it as they deamed the rattling noise to be unfixable at that time. My new one has started doing the same HOWEVER this time it has slight scratches around the base of the phone. A 1mm chip on the back... they don't bother me; it's not what I'm getting it replaced again for, it's just the rattling noise when tapped, moved or on vibrate makes my model feel really cheap.
I always turn my iPhone off every night. And this morning my iPhone 4s screen is blurry and kind of shaking. What am I suppose to do? because I never dropped my phone or get any waters to it.Also my signal bar and the battery bar is kind of cut into half and I don't know why. IOS is 7.1.
for some new Sony Ericsson phones (I know the W995 has this problem for sure) there is no option to turn off the camera sound or the focus sound, even when silent mode is on. Here I am going to guide you through a solution to overcome this. What we are going to do is replace the sound files for the camera sound and the focus sound with a sound which is silent, using A2uploader. 1. Download this .rar file I have uploaded with 3 sound files, namely camerafocus.3gp, camerashutter2.3gp and camerashutter2_rer.3gp 2. Currently you can choose the following sounds 1. Camera shutter 2. Bear can opening 3.Tennis ball 4. Laser The files in the .rar have been created to replace the Beer can opening sound, however if you want to keep this one, then change the number on the end e.g to replace the Laser sound the two files would be camerashutter4.3gp and camerashutter4_rer.3gp Although please note to replace the Camera shutter sound the number on the end is not 1, but is no number at all e.g. camerashutter.3gp and camerashutter_rer.3gp3.Now you connect your phone to A2uploader (see Tutorial on main website for how to do this) and go to tpa/presets/system/sound and drop all 3 files into this folder. If you want to keep the sound you're replacing right click on it and click 'read' this will create a folder ph_out with this file in it.4.Shut down A2uploader, switch on phone and bobs your uncle! You can also add other sounds, I created a Gavin and Stacey one here but I will happily accept requests for others.Hope this helps! Been trying lots of things out and came across an app that updated when shaking. When I shook the phone,I could clearly hear something rattle inside.I kept shaking it to see if I could figure out what was loose checked all the buttons and didn't seem to be them. Then I noticed after a little shaking it said "NO SIM" so I thought this must be it.I took the sim card out and shook again and it still rattled so it doesn't seem to be the sim. Everything seems to be working fine.Anyone else seen this?
I got my (Verizon) G4 a little over 2 weeks ago. I've noticed that on about half my calls the phone speaker sounds loose/tinny/rattling when the person on the line is speaking.
I've tried every combination of enabling/disabling noise suppression, voice clarity and voice privacy, but nothing has worked.
I have recently bought a new iphone 4 and after a month or so of use, it began to drop calls or my voice wasn't heard by the person on the other end. I could hear them perfectly fine, but my voice was either very faint or not able to be heard.
I have restored my phone to factory settings, but doing this did not solve the problem. I live overseas and my provider is Vodaphone. It isn't a signal/carrier problem. Is this something that can be fixed by being serviced, or will I probably have to get a new phone all together? It's really frustrating, as I bought a factory unlocked phone to use in Turkey.
A few days ago, out of the blue, I lost the ability to be able to hear or be heard when on a call on my iPhone 4. On a call, no matter which output I use, earpiece, earphones or speaker, I cannot hear the person on the other end speaking, and they cannot hear me talking. My phone will ring if someone is calling, and if I call someone their phone will connect, but from there I am completely muted/in silence. I do not believe this is a hardware related issue as I have tested both the microphone and speaker/s by making a Skype call to a friend which worked absolutely fine. I can also play music from my phone successfully through all of the iPhone outputs mentioned above. This is a super frustrating issue as I haven't dropped the phone or damaged any of the hardware. The only one software related thing I notice that is out of the ordinary is that when I do make a call, the 'speaker' icon is selected by default. Obviously I have attempted to deselect it, but have had no success in this making any difference.
I recently updated my 5s to iOS 7.1.1. Now when I make a phone call I cannot hear a ring. The other person does answer so the call is going through, but I cannot hear the ring in my earpiece.
I have a new problem after 7.1.2, when I get a phone call, I cannot hear or be heard on the phone, but if I put it on speaker... it's fine. So what's up?
I am using iPhone 4S with iOS 7.1.2. During a Facetime video call, my voice is not heard by the other person properly. However, during a Facetime audio call or Skype call with microphone, everything is fine. I am also able to record sound without any problems.
I have a serious problem with my iPhone. When I use the camera app to shoot a video sequence there is (almost) so sound. You just hear white noise and the real sound is almost unhearable quiet. Tried it with the internal mic as well as with an external mic. But! If i use the voice memo tool - the audio recorder - the sound is excellent. Loud, clear and crisp. Why does the camera fail to record the sound whilst the audiorecorder just does it perfectly.I called Apple Support. Despite the fact the guy on the phone did not seem to have understood what I described, he just said, i should reset it to factory settings and if tah wont helf I could send it in for having it checked for as little as 160 Euros.
Today, I was trying to record a video but when I was reviewing it i notice that the sound was all muffled like if I was covering the microphone. So I took of my OtterBox Defender Case but that wasnt the problem at all. I tried blowing on both microphones that didnt work I tried cleaning it out with a cotton swab but no luck!
The sound on my iphone video camera is not working. I have used it before and it was OK. I shot an hour's worth of clips during which I tested and heard the sound being recorded. When I went to upload it to my computer, there was no sound. Pics are good. Looking at the original clips still on my iphone, and there's no sound. I tried to record another video clip as a test and it has no sound. Is there a setting for sound which I am missing or is there something wrong with the microphone.
I need help with my Iphone 4 the camera doesn't record sound whenever i videotape something all I get is the image video but no sounds. and when I switching the call on speaker the caller doesn't hear me at all !! i updated it to version 5.1.1 but the same !
I bought the US version of the iPhone 6 in Dubai (facetime isnt available in the local version), is that the reason why my camera shutter won't turn off at all? I tried resetting, mute, earphones in. Nothing.
