I need help with my Iphone 4 the camera doesn't record sound whenever i videotape something all I get is the image video but no sounds. and when I switching the call on speaker the caller doesn't hear me at all !! i updated it to version 5.1.1 but the same !

Well, I've been running 5.0 OS's for months, and I'm not sure exactly when this problem happened, but my video camera stopped recording sound. Speaker phone and the voice notes recorder work fine.
I wiped the phone, formatted the SD card, and went back to the 4.7.1.65 os.I've still got no sound. Is there actually a different mic for the video camera than the speaker phone and the voice notes recorder?I've pulled the files onto my computer to verify that there is absolutely no sound.
Today, I was trying to record a video but when I was reviewing it i notice that the sound was all muffled like if I was covering the microphone. So I took of my OtterBox Defender Case but that wasnt the problem at all. I tried blowing on both microphones that didnt work I tried cleaning it out with a cotton swab but no luck!

My iPhone4 used to be able to record video and sound perfectly well, then suddenly for no known reason it has stopped. It will record video on the camera but no sound will be recorded just a humming noise. There isn't a problem with the microphone because it will record sound on other apps. This problem also effects Face Time, I can see and hear people, but they can't seem to hear me. I have had the phone for around 6 months now. What should I do? Can it be fixed or will I need to get a new one?

(On Samsung S5). I'm in university and I frequently record my lectures, while actively listening/taking notes. My profs will frequently draw important diagrams while explaining them, and what I do is that I type out what they're explaining and take pictures of the diagrams after they've completed them to fully understand the concepts. The problem lies is that when I try to take pictures, the voice recorder app stops recording, so I get gaps in my lectures. Is there any way possible to still be recording while I'm using my camera?

I dont understand why my xperia x10 doesn't have 720p recording with a camera that can take pictures at 8.1 mp and yet the ipod touch 4g with a camera less then 1mp can take 720p?I want my Xperia X10 to be the best it can possibly be NOW before it goes out of date. A ipod touch 4g with a camera can record 720p video with a 1mp cam..and yet my phone kills its in hardware can't record 720p? Its can't get 16m colors either . so disappointed in Sony....its bad enough that call quaility *****, and in-call volume blows, now a lesser tech records better than my phone....when the embarassment stop.

I found i can download a 3rd part camcorder but that sucks. ALSO, I found that when i take a picture with the stock app it shows a check and when i click it it saves the picture and shuts the apps.

I'm a vivaz user and I have to say I like the phone but I can't record any HD video because it stutters. I did everything possible to help the camera, even a master reset but it didn't help me. The only thing I saw improvement with was using my girlfriend's 4gb memory card. Maybe it was because it was empty but if my 8gb memory card is empty it still stutters.

Here I am going to guide you through a solution to overcome this.What we are going to do is replace the sound files for the camera sound and the focus sound with a sound which is silent, using A2uploader.
1. Download this .rar file I have uploaded with 3 sound files, namely camerafocus.3gp, camerashutter2.3gp and camerashutter2_rer.3gp
2. Currently you can choose the following sounds
1. Camera shutter
2. Bear can opening
3.Tennis ball
4. Laser
The files in the .rar have been created to replace the Beer can opening sound, however if you want to keep this one, then change the number on the end e.g to replace the Laser sound the two files would be camerashutter4.3gp and camerashutter4_rer.3gp Although please note to replace the Camera shutter sound the number on the end is not 1, but is no number at all e.g. camerashutter.3gp and camerashutter_rer.3gp3.Now you connect your phone to A2uploader (see Tutorial on main website for how to do this) and go to tpa/presets/system/sound and drop all 3 files into this folder. If you want to keep the sound you're replacing right click on it and click 'read' this will create a folder ph_out with this file in it.4.Shut down A2uploader, switch on phone and bobs your uncle!You can also add other sounds, I created a Gavin and Stacey one here but I will happily accept requests for others.Hope this helps! I have a serious problem with my iPhone.When I use the camera app to shoot a video sequence there is (almost) so sound. You just hear white noise and the real sound is almost unhearable quiet. Tried it with the internal mic as well as with an external mic. But! If i use the voice memo tool - the audio recorder - the sound is excellent. Loud, clear and crisp.Why does the camera fail to record the sound whilst the audiorecorder just does it perfectly.I called Apple Support. Despite the fact the guy on the phone did not seem to have understood what I described, he just said, i should reset it to factory settings and if tah wont helf I could send it in for having it checked for as little as 160 Euros.
