I was just checking the status of my order and it said that it was on the fedex vehicle for delivery? Is anyone else having this? I am not at my delivery address because I got the email it was goingto be delivered tomorrow. I am on my iPhone typing this so I will try to post a screenshot when I get home. Just wondering if anyone else was getting that for their fedex delivery status as well.

View 6 Replies View RelatediPhone's being shipped by UPS will be delivered on the 24th iPhone's being shipped by Fedex will be delivered on the 23rd (It shouldn't matter if you ordered through AT&T or Apple.com) The only evidence to back this up is Apple's email to its customers claiming a June 23rd delivery, and all of these orders have Fedex as the carrier. This could mean that AT&T customers with Fedex as the carrier will also receive their iPhone's on the 23rd as well. Though for most AT&T customers there is no data for their tracking. EDIT- Some Fedex tracking information is showing a June 23rd delivery, on par with Apple.com orders. Fedex could be exclusively dealing with June 23rd deliveries while UPS is dealing with June 24th (Actual Launch Day) deliveries.

Just leave it outside my door at an apartment complex.Someone was home too and they didn't even knock or ring bell.Just leave package at door and leave. Luckily person home found it when they went outside. Not sure how long it was there. Important thing is I have it now Reception issue present and no yellow blobs.BTW.Much better luck with UPS here in Southern California. They leave package at leasing office vs just leave it outside and hope someone doesn't take it.

I got the email yesterday that told me my package will be delivered on the 23rd, but after seeing this, I doubt it will happen now.
My phone is less than a mile away from the house, has been since 6:00 last night. Now the last line reads:

I have decided after reading all the threads that I will pre-order from Apple next Tuesday and now need to decide whether to have home delivery or in store delivery. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?
Ive heard that to home there may be activation issues and its better to be in store for troubleshooting but in store on launch day may be packed and I may have to wait I've heard that they have 2 different lines for walk ins and pre-orders is this true? If I send to store can I pick up anytime that day? How does apple ship their orders UPS.FedEx.Etc.Just want to get all the facts for both options if possible. This is my first time pre-ordering and just want to be prepared and make the right decision.

I am like a bunch of you who's package has been stuck in Alaska for over a day...well to find out where it really is call fedex at 800-463-3339 and enter your tracking number in the automated system and it tell you where it really is. It told me mine is on the way to my zicode and will be delivered on the 23rd! So give this a try! It worked for me!

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy iphone establishes a bluetooth connection to both of my cars (Kia and Toyota). It used to work fine. Now, I can search contacts, dial and hang up, but my phone won't go hands-free on either one (and on my phone I only have a "speaker" option, not an "audio source" option during a call). I can also start songs on it from my car as an auxiliary device, but it won't play through the car speakers. My wife's phone works fine in hands-free mode with both cars, so I know it's not the cars that are the problem. My phone is up-to-date with system downloads.

So. I was tracking my package today and since I am at work and no one was home to sign for the package, I assumed that I would see a delivery attempt on the tracking page. However to my dismay, the phone was left on my front porch without release authorization. The tracking info says the following.Left at front door. Package delivered to recipient address - release authorized This unacceptable for two reasons. First, this would be easy target for thieves. Especially with the wide publicity of the iPhone launch. If I were a thief I'd be driving around residential areas and just swiping any fedex package that left on the front door. Secondly, today is an extraordinarily hot day and the temps are easily in the upper 90's. My porch is in direct sunlight, effectively making the box act as an oven baking my iPhone. So I ended up leaving work for an hour so that I can pick up the phone so it wouldn't bake in the sun for 5 hours. Angry as hell, I called Fedex to see who authorized the release. They said that Fedex reserves the right to release packages in residential areas without a release agreement on file to expedite deliveries because of possible volume issues. WTF! So am I being over-sensitive? Or do I have the right the be a little peeved? I'm actually pretty angry. Almost to the point where I want to call fedex or apple and say I never got the package. But I won't. I'm a good christian boy and never would do such a thing.
