I am like a bunch of you who's package has been stuck in Alaska for over a day...well to find out where it really is call fedex at 800-463-3339 and enter your tracking number in the automated system and it tell you where it really is. It told me mine is on the way to my zicode and will be delivered on the 23rd! So give this a try! It worked for me!

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just checked the status of my delivery, and to my dismay saw the message, "Package not due for delivery" at 9:04pm tonight. It arrived at South San Francisco (5 minutes away from where I live) from Oakland at 6:43pm.
I got the email yesterday that told me my package will be delivered on the 23rd, but after seeing this, I doubt it will happen now.

I ordered almost as soon as preordering started, jamming Command+R until the "Coming Soon" icon disappeared from the Apple website.There was no change in the order status from AT&T for a while, until (on the 20th) the status suddenly says "shipped" on the 18th. Just leave it outside my door at an apartment complex.Someone was home too and they didn't even knock or ring bell.Just leave package at door and leave. Luckily person home found it when they went outside. Not sure how long it was there. Important thing is I have it now Reception issue present and no yellow blobs.BTW.Much better luck with UPS here in Southern California. They leave package at leasing office vs just leave it outside and hope someone doesn't take it.

So. I was tracking my package today and since I am at work and no one was home to sign for the package, I assumed that I would see a delivery attempt on the tracking page. However to my dismay, the phone was left on my front porch without release authorization. The tracking info says the following.Left at front door. Package delivered to recipient address - release authorized This unacceptable for two reasons. First, this would be easy target for thieves. Especially with the wide publicity of the iPhone launch. If I were a thief I'd be driving around residential areas and just swiping any fedex package that left on the front door. Secondly, today is an extraordinarily hot day and the temps are easily in the upper 90's. My porch is in direct sunlight, effectively making the box act as an oven baking my iPhone. So I ended up leaving work for an hour so that I can pick up the phone so it wouldn't bake in the sun for 5 hours. Angry as hell, I called Fedex to see who authorized the release. They said that Fedex reserves the right to release packages in residential areas without a release agreement on file to expedite deliveries because of possible volume issues. WTF! So am I being over-sensitive? Or do I have the right the be a little peeved? I'm actually pretty angry. Almost to the point where I want to call fedex or apple and say I never got the package. But I won't. I'm a good christian boy and never would do such a thing.

Now when I attempt to remove the Five Column Package, I get an error everytime it tries uninstall. Sub-process/usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) When I restart the springboard it goes into Safe Mode. Do I have to SSH into my IPhone and remove the package? Also, my IPhone won't get out of Safe Mode.

Fedex posted an update on their website regarding the tracking information delays. See below: Tracking Update for Wednesday, June 23, 2010 Package deliveries are proceeding as normal, however tracking updates are temporarily being delayed. Please try back later.

So if it says delivery date of 6/23 and it doesn't show "out for delivery" don't be concerned because it will most likely be delivered. Call Fedex to verify though.
iPhone's being shipped by UPS will be delivered on the 24th iPhone's being shipped by Fedex will be delivered on the 23rd (It shouldn't matter if you ordered through AT&T or Apple.com) The only evidence to back this up is Apple's email to its customers claiming a June 23rd delivery, and all of these orders have Fedex as the carrier. This could mean that AT&T customers with Fedex as the carrier will also receive their iPhone's on the 23rd as well. Though for most AT&T customers there is no data for their tracking. EDIT- Some Fedex tracking information is showing a June 23rd delivery, on par with Apple.com orders. Fedex could be exclusively dealing with June 23rd deliveries while UPS is dealing with June 24th (Actual Launch Day) deliveries.
