My iphone will not leave the dial or recent dials screen. I can make call but when I do it is showing the line in red that says "press to return to call" but I have no second call and I wasn't in any other screen. What am I suppose to do?

I have my phone # associated with Google Voice such that when someone calls my Google Voice number ... it rings my iphone and my landling. I have configured GV (just like a lot of other GV users) to make me press 1 to take the incoming call.Â
This worked wonderfully on my iphone 4s (IOS 7.x). But there is a problem with either iPhone6 or IOS 8.XÂ ... now the problem ...Â
- When I pickup the call on the cell ... GV asks me to press 1 (like it always does). I press 1 ... No acknowledgement. I can hear the DTMF tone but it does not get registered.
- When I pickup the call on my landline ... I am able to press 1 and accept the incoming call.
- My first thought was there is a bug in IOS when the phone is in the locked screen ... but no ... even when I get the call with the phone unlocked ... it will not register any of the DTMF keys
- To test this I added my wife's iPhone 4 (not 4S) running IOS 7.1 to my GV account. I was able to answer the call by pressing 1.Â

I was still on kitkat on my xperia z2. One day, when trying to make a call, I just couln't anymore. Basically, I can bring up my contact list, recent calls etc. But when I go to press a contact, which would usually start ringing them, it does nothing. If I manually enter a number with the keypad and press the dial button - the keypad disappears and it isn't dialing.

I tried restarting my phone, which will then allow me to make calls as usual, but as soon as I close the "phone" app and open it back up again, same problem - pressing contacts/ dial buttons etc will just do nothing. Every time I restart my phone I can pretty much call someone once and that's it.

I went in to my apps list and founf something very strange - two standard "Phone" apps. Why there are two now, they are also different sizes (one is 1.11mb and the other is 2.0mb). I obviously cannot disable or uninstall either of them. I don't know if this is the problem.

I have updated to lollipop, thinking maybe that may work, but everything's exactly the same.
I just performed what seemed to be a fairly major update. The phone is stuck on emergency dial and a soft reset hasn't helped. In the background I can see that incoming mail is being registered, but I can't get past the emergency dial screen.

I recently got a Galaxy S6 and noticed that when I swipe to call the phone does nothing on the first try (except for showing the green bar with the words "call"). Sometimes it opens the calling screen for a millisecond but then reverts back to contacts. On the second try however it does connect the call. The same happens when I'm in the phone dialer. I'll type in the number, press dial and then it just goes back to the dial screen as if I didn't type in anything. View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm currently the owner of a HTC One S but it started to act weird since a couple of days ago. More specific, when I am trying to call somebody you can hear the 'dial tone' twice and then it just stops and goes back to the telephone/contacts screen. Furthermore, when I am receiving calls the phone rings one, two or three times and then it stops for one second. Then, it starts to ring again two or three times and it ends et cetera ,, then the phone says that I have got 2 or three missed calls from this particular person (I tested it with my friend's phone and I just called once (and let the phone ringing for a while). Also, if i managed to pick it up within the two rings the conversation only lasts for a few seconds and then the phone goes back to the home screen.
Does anyone faces similar problems and has a solution? It's driving me crazy!Signal issues? By the way, sending and receiving text messages does not seems to be a problem. Also, I did a reset to the original factory settings but the problem still exists. The phone also contained the last availble updates

How do I hit a # (number) key while on a conference call? It won't allow me. I have to ask one of the callers on the line with me to press a button for me. BB 9900 Bold. I've owned numerous BBs in the past 8 years & never had this issue.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy former Android phone had an app that was able to speed dial one of 8 people even when the phone was locked. It appeared on the lock screen and was able to dial one of 8 numbers with a single press and swipe. It dialed based on the direction of the swipe.
Is there something similar for Windows 10 Phone? I'd rather not need to unlock the phone in order to dial one of my most called contacts.
It doesn't have to be an app that behaves exactly like this. Just curious how others have efficiently handled speed-dial.
See this call screen? This just started happening to me the other day and I don't know why. Something must have changed, but I don't know what it would have been. Instead of the normal 6 tiles at the bottom, I have only three now. I cannot mute the line or go to a dial pad. I am chatting with Samsung support about it but they are clueless so far. We have tried a soft reset, resetting the Cache and Data for the Phone App, resetting app preferences and Safe Mode and nothing has worked.
View 18 Replies View RelatedI just found a problem with my Bionic today. I was trying to access my voicemail and had to hit the number 1 on the dial pad during a call to enter my mailbox number.
The number 1 would not do anything during the call. All other numbers worked. If I kept trying to press the number 1 the screen would go black for a second then return with the dial pad. A factory reset did not cure it.
I went to a local Verizon store and the person there told me that this is a known issue and it only happens when the volume is up full. He then said that I have to put the volume down to 1/2 in order for the number 1 to work properly during a call
I called Motorola when I returned home and was told that this is not a known issue - they never heard of it.
Researching on Google and this Forum I have found others that have had this same issue. I have not heard of any resolution yet.
Both Motorola and Verizon Phone Tech Support recommended replacing the phone. Verizon Tech Support was supposed to call me back in an hour after my call with them to see what I wanted to do but never did. I was supposed to keep trying the number 1 after they had me force stop and clear the dialer and virtual keyboard. The problem still exists.
I only have a matter of hours before my 14 days is up at Verizon at which point I will be given a refurbished phone. For some reason I could not log onto this forum today to post this. I just now got in.
Do any other owners of the Bionic experience this? I don't want to replace the phone if they all do it. It's down to the wire now!
i was charging my phone via usb through my laptop and it suddenly went into white/grey screen with weird screen and so i pressed the home + power and went into recovery mode (itunes + usb logo). i tried to restore it and i keep on getting error 1600. after a few hours, the screen just went black and whenever i press home + power button, nothing happens. i went to a repair shop and a guy "shocked" the battery and there it went back to recovery mode. i tried to restore it again on dfu mode and still getting error 1600.
if i try it on restore mode, i will get error 21. what i did is i plug in the device, put it on recovery mode and then put it in dfu then restore and still error 1600 ---- googleed and Internetd so,me videos until i saw a video to change the host file and downloaded it and then boom --- it was fixed! while i was fixing my newly repaired iphone 4 version 5.1 -- all of a sudden it went to restarted then went into recovery mode. after a few hours again, it went to dfu mode and i went to the repair shop to shock the battery but that didn't work until now. i can't get my phone to restore mode even if i press the home + power button. stuck on dfu mode.i have a saved shsh for 5.0.1 and 5.1 -- so i built a custom firmware with snowbreeze and ifaith but i keep on getting error 3014, 1600, 1601, 1608 on restoring it.

I own a n97 mini which ma bro gifted n the sad thing is tht he sent frm UAE. The problem is when ever i make a call or recieve a call the battery goes down to single point n the mobile shows the battery low msg n shuts off. Its real pain in **bleep**. It works fine when not making or recieving calls. To my surprise i have observed tht the battery runs out immediately when using idea sim, drains lil slow with airtel, vodafone and satys for 24 hrs with docomo sim inside. Can any one let me know atleast wat is the problem. I hav updated the firware to 11.0.045* n i think this is nly da latest.

When loading iTunes this morning an update that I had been putting off popped up and I figured since I was going to be in the house for a while I'd finally do it. An error took place that I foolishly ignored and made no note of.
My iPhone is now stuck in Recovery mode (I assume so anyway, after having googles my problem for hours), iTunes tells me I need to restore the phone and so I click to allow it to. It then gets to the "Preparing iPhone for restore" and just sits there, doing nothing.
