View 2 RepliesToday the dialing features on my relatively new (summer 2009) Storm started going strange. When in the phone dialing screen, if I press and hold a number key with an associated speed dial number, the phone would dial another number elsewhere on the speed dial list (e.g. press and hold "3" made the phone speed dial the phone number assigned to "5"). After removing and replacing the battery and rebooting, the trouble didn't clear. In fact, things got stranger. The phone would not dial voicemail when the "1" key was held down (even though the speed dial list still listed the correct number, etc.) When I cleared and tried to refill my speed dial list, no number keys on the keypad would make the speed dial spring into action. But, pressing and holding the "3" key did make the phone ask if I wished to assign a speed dial to the number "5" as though that were the key I'd been pressing.Suggestions?
View 6 Replies View RelatedBrand new here. I recently just went from iPhone to a galaxy s5. I'm with Verizon. For some reason when I try to make a phone call it's says Dialing then it ends the call before it starts to ring. I can get incoming calls fine. As you see in the picture it keeps saying cancelled. It doesn't matter who I try to call, it says cancelled. I've already done a factory reset and I've taken my sim card out n put it back in.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy iphone will not leave the dial or recent dials screen. I can make call but when I do it is showing the line in red that says "press to return to call" but I have no second call and I wasn't in any other screen. What am I suppose to do?

I was still on kitkat on my xperia z2. One day, when trying to make a call, I just couln't anymore. Basically, I can bring up my contact list, recent calls etc. But when I go to press a contact, which would usually start ringing them, it does nothing. If I manually enter a number with the keypad and press the dial button - the keypad disappears and it isn't dialing.
I tried restarting my phone, which will then allow me to make calls as usual, but as soon as I close the "phone" app and open it back up again, same problem - pressing contacts/ dial buttons etc will just do nothing. Every time I restart my phone I can pretty much call someone once and that's it.
I went in to my apps list and founf something very strange - two standard "Phone" apps. Why there are two now, they are also different sizes (one is 1.11mb and the other is 2.0mb). I obviously cannot disable or uninstall either of them. I don't know if this is the problem.
I have updated to lollipop, thinking maybe that may work, but everything's exactly the same.
is anybody know about rocket dial? if u know how to dial double digit speed dial number ?

View 3 Replies View RelatedOut of the blue, my phone has started adding +31 before all calls that I make using my contacts list.I'll select a contact that shows the number as "789-789-7890" and when it dials, it will show "+317897897890." There will then be a prompt that says the number can't be reached and I should dial again. This makes the entire contact list function worthless as I have to manually enter numbers in order to call them. All contacts seem to be affected.
View 3 Replies View Relatedsince the service outage in September/october of 2011. my blackberry has been pocket dialing the same number eventhough I have deleted it from the call registery and contact listing. Also, I have received txt messages that are at least 2years old. How do I make it stop? I have removed the battery, entered the password 10 imes to get it to wipe the memory. none of this has worked. I want to know how does a blackberry take a number and move it to the speed dial registery without me knowing it? When you delete a number from your contacts, why does it not delete the number from speed dial as well? Finally, why doesn't RIM have a 1-800 umber that a person can call, instead of getting the run around. these questions are not for a service provider, they are for the equipment designer.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry Curve 8330 is having a problem with the voice dialing spontaneously turning on. Occasionally (about 1/4 of the time) when I try placing a call, the sound is muted-- as in I cannot hear ringing on the other end. When I hang up, the phone initializes the voice dialing feature. It continues to pop up up at 3 second intervals, at which point I can no longer receive or place calls. I can write texts and receive them, but because the voice dialing keeps popping up, texting isn't an easy task! This continues all day and I must restart the phone for it to stop (does not work all the time).

View 2 Replies View RelatedWith recent software upgrade/update, when I start to dial a number it defaults to searching Contacts, which is fine. But the display of numbers I'm dialing is so tiny I didn't see them - had to hand to my son in frustration because I didn't think it was dialing at all. He pointed out the teeny-tiny numbers being displayed below the search field. Is there a way to increase the size of the numbers being dialed? Or change default back to dialing instead of search?

All the contacts in my outlook have the phone numbers in the following format + (country code) - (area code) - xxxx-xxxx. View 5 Replies View RelatedI "upgraded" to OS 6.0. Now my BB will not allow me to click on a phone number that I see on the internet and dial it. I have to read the number, memorize it, close the browser, and push in the numbers manually. T-Mobile keeps telling me that it is the webpage that I am on, but it clearly not that. OS 6.0 is quite the downgrade. Can anybody hear any of the lousy notifers that they call ringtones? The helpdesk directs you to buy ringtones from appworld.

My Verizon Curve, 8330, has been going into a loop for the past two weeks with "Voice Dialing Initializing" showing up randomly. When I get out of it, it will soon pop up again. When this starts to happen, any outgoing calls I try to make will be instantly disconnected. The problem starts, sometimes, after receiveing a call--I can't hear the other party and then they can't hear me.When I hang up, the loop starts.I do have bluetooth on to automatically hook into my car when I am driving.I tried to fix the problem by upgrading the operating system from 4.5.77 to 4.5.175, but the problem is persisting. The button on the side is not set to activate voice dialing (I switched it shortly after I got the phone 18 months ago). Any suggestions would be appreciated--I do not want to have to remove VOD but if there is no other solution will have to. There is a discussion under the Pearl for this problem, but I do not see it discussed in the Curve area.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a curve 8330 and the voice activated dialing initializes on its own and loops in 3 second intervals until i do a battery pull. While the VAD is looping I am unable to make or recieve calls, it either disconnects me or mutes the phone and i am unable to unmute it. I removed the VAD all together using a program called MAXMEM, but the phone is still malfunctioning. now when i try to make an outgoing call it attempts to connect me for about 3 seconds then disconnects me. When trying to answer incoming calls it mutes the phone. I cant hear anything and the person calling me cant either. I went into settings and did a factory restore but it did not fix the problem. Is there any way to completely un-install the OS/software and re-install it? Im hoping that that will fix it. i have tried doing it via the BB website but was unable to.
