Just updated to IOS5 and now it won't recognise my apple ID password and I can't reset it, what can I do as i can't use my phone now

My Son gave me his iPhone G3 to me when he upgraded to the iPhone G4. I have decided to keep all his current Apps on the phone, but have run into some difficulties when I am notified that there are updates to Apps that are on the iPhone. When I attempt to Update, the iPhone requests the Password to his account. The iPhone lists his User id. My Son updated the Apple ID/Password to the ID I use. Is this change allowed and am I doing this correctly?

After upgrading to os 7.1.0.163 my password keeper application does not recognize my password. I am on 7 /10 unsuccessful tries before I assume I get eternally locked out and the data lost.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen restarted my computer and reconnects my iPhone, it now prompts saying that iPhone in recovery mode and I must restore before it can be used with iTunes. I am very sure there's 2 backup copies in my (default designated) computer folder, with one being dated 12Mar (the day of updating). I browsed the computer folder while waiting for the downloads in iTunes.
However the backup folder is now empty!! and I can't restore to any previous backup, and my phone cannot be turn on. The iTunes restore button asked if I wanted to restore to original factory settings. How could this happen?!! My Recycle bin has this item "iPhone3,1_5.0.1_9A405_Restore.ipsw".
How can I retreive my previous phone backup, or just return to iOS5.0.1 with its data prior to the 5.1?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was at a Genius Bar earlier today and they gave me a replacement iPhone 4. I had my laptop with me to transfer everything over and the guy working commented that I shouldn't use data encryption on the backup, so I said fine and he deactivated the option. I believe it was at this point that I was asked to enter the password, which I did. After a long time processing, there was an error message at the end. I wish I could remember what it said, but the guy said it should be fine. He wiped my phone I was returning, and then we set about to restore my new phone from the backup. Only problem is now iTunes doesn't recognize the password from my encrypted backup (this is the only one available). I don't know if something was corrupted during the attempt to deactivate encryption, or if this could be something else? I am positive I know the password—I entered it earlier in the process, and besides, it's the same as my passcode.
I was basically ushered out of the store because the guy said he didn't know what else to do. He just muttered some stuff about third party programs which Apple doesn't support which could retrieve data from a backup. I asked how those could possibly work on an encrypted backup and he didn't seem to have an answer.

Had to replace the SIM card on my Curve 9360 today and now it won't recognize my BlackBerry ID or password. It just says "please wait" and then does nothing for literally hours. I can log in to the BlackBerry website fine so I know my login and password are correct. My cell phone provider says it is a BlackBerry issue. The log in screen gives you 10 tries to log in before it wipes your phone and I'm on try #8.

i set a password to unlock my bb device. Three days ago a friend took the bb and tried to discover the password, he tried 8 times. After i tried to unlock the device inserting the right password but it dosen't recognize it. Now i'm so worried about lost all my data, casue i haven't done recently a backup. I hope someone would help me cause i have a lot of data in it and i cannot loose them. The one who tried to unlock the device said that after the 5th attempt he was asked to write blackberry, and now in place of asteriks there appears like normal characters.
