Been a long term iphone user and currently having a few problems with 3g connection with 02. When 3g is on the phone has 3 bars of signal but still seems to fail to connect to the internet (all sites) but if I switch 3g off it does seem to connect more regularly although slower than you would get with 3g.
I've recently bought a Nokia 5800 xm and have been able to connect it to my home internet using the wlan wifi.
I can only use the wifi if i go to settings>connectivity>wlan. If i go straight to internet, it tries to connect to t-mobile internet. This also happens when trying to use applications such as bbc iplayer and the ovi store.
Is there a way of setting the wifi connection as the default connection? If not, is there a way of setting up my applications so they connect using wifi?
I just received my 808 replaced by Nokia for the 3G bug issue. Now I have been noticing that annoying Connection Failed connection unavailable message every few seconds. Turned the positioning methods OFF and the frequency of the error message goes away but it still pops up every few minutes. I did a hard reset, removed the memory card where most of my apps are installed and it still gives me that same error. Ordered a new SIM to see if that makes any difference - none - Still same error message. That message is so annoying. Anyone have any other ideas that I could try ? Privacy mode is OFF also.
Ok I have a 808 bought it as a camera after it updated it, I get this unacceptable repeated popup"Connection Failed Connection Unavailable".Its like every 30 seconds. Its total black background message occupies valuable screen real estate at the top of the screen and repeatedly hinders normal usage of the device, causing especially unpleasant experience when capturing pictures or video. How do nokia users like me go about disabling this message and continue enjoying the experience of the brand we choose to trust?
my airtel networks acees point "mobile office " used to work in nokia 701 for a week now its not working it has been 7 days whever i try to connect i just get this message "connection failed, connection unavailable"
I've upgraded my 3 to a 4s today, and in the 02 shop the guy fiddled with my internet on my old phone and did something with the sim, and now i've synced my new phone and can't get internet connection.
I've had my iPhone for about a year or so, maybe a bit less.I recently havent been able to get any service, and my wifi, and bluetooth is greyed out.My iPhone is also turning on and off every now and again, making it more of a pain to fix.I'm thinking of taking it in to apple to replace/fix it.. Im not sure though, I havent had a chance yet. Downgraded from 5.0.1 hoping to fix
I have iTunes set to launch when my iPhone 4S is connected to the dock and I backup locally (on Macbook Pro not iCloud). I have noticed that recently, when the iPhone is placed in the dock (the dock is connected to the Macbook Pro), iTunes does NOT open and begin syncing.
I'll be in Europe for two months and will be taking my iPhone 4 although I don't want to use the phone or data. Is the best way to ensure I won't be using the cell towers is to activate airplane mode and then turn Wi-Fi on? Or is there a better way to be allowed to use Wi-Fi but not the cell towers?
More importantly, I want to be able to use the Navigation program (just the standard one that iPhone 4 comes with) to navigate my way around on foot and in the car. Can this be done exclusively over the GPS satellites? Is there a way to download the maps to the phone or will I need an internet connection to have the maps?
I accidentally dropped my iPhone 4 in a toilet the other day. I dried it out and everything works except for the wifi connection. I went to go to connect to wifi and not a single network showed up so I typed in the wifi name and password and it said it couldn't locate it. I used the wifi connection in my house while I was in in my house. I have also tried restoring it but that didn't work. Is there any way to fix this or can I send it in to get it fixed?
I bought an iPhone 4s with 200 mb data . It says im connected to the 4g network , but can never load anything using it . I can only use wifi to load anything from Internet , but I don't know why my AT&T 4g iPhone isn't working .
I own the Iphone 4S black, 16 Gb. Today was the first day when it happened. All day long, my 3g internet connection worked perfectly, suddenly when I got home it stopped working. I switched off and on the phone - no success. I turned off the 3G function in order to use EDGE - on EDGE it works.
Downloaded JB day of release. Since that day, have to reconnect iphone to my Wifi Network each time I pick the phone back up. Same thing seems to be happening with our un-jailbroken iPad yet our regular laptops have no issue. Just wondering if anyone else is having similar problems or am I victim to Comcast yet again?
I know this sounds strange but i travel alot and recently hotels sell Internet PER device, so when i get internet on my laptop i cant get it on iPhone or i have to pay for 2nd device, I was thinking is it POSSIBLE to get the internet on my iPhone and tether it with my laptop? this way when i am in my room i can use my laptop and when i am in lobby or at meetings my phone got the internet.
unlocked my phone 2 weeks ago before i went out on a trip to hk.. everything was working properly.. then when i got to hk, no wifi at all.. i thought its just the sim card since i was only just prepaid.. then i got back to canada, no wifi at all.. can't see any connection even at my house..my version is 3.1.2
A friend of mine lives far out in the backcountry where he has not access to High Speed Internet. He has a Wireless Router (with no internet connection), an iPhone 4s, and a 1080 AppleTV.He is wanting to play netlfix on his phone over 3G and have it mirror to the television with ATV. I know that you have to be connected to WiFi for the mirror to work, which kills the 3G capabilities. But I have read somewhere that you can manual adjust the DNS settings in the wireless router to allow the phone to connect to the WiFi network while still using the available 3G network to stream netflix.
I just bought a new 4s and I can't activate it using cellular connection and Wi-Fi and also I can't seem to get the iTunes connection option from my phone as well. What can I do?
I am going away to India and we only have wired Internet in our office. I want to be able to still use my iPhone to send and receive data I don't want to pay roaming fees for this data Can I (either wired or wireless) connect and use the Macbook's internet connection? It is iPhone 4 (5.1) and latest Macbook Air?
I can't make any bluetooth connection from my iphone 4s either with my ipad 2 or my macbook pro. I've already tried to pair the devices but it still not working. Do I need any other set up?
My iPhone is connected to my wifi because I have the wifi signal in the menu bar on the top and I can go to websites, but when you open wifi settings, it says no wifi is connected. Its not much of a problem since it works, it is just suspicious. I would just like to know if anyone know what the deal is with it.
I am travelling, and have shut off my cellular and wifi connections, but still a few calls from unknown numbers have rung. How is this possible? Am I missing something I should have shut of
How can I rename the bluetooth connections on my iPhone? I have 2 cars with the same handsfree bluetooth systems and they show up with the same name under my iPhone's bluetooth connections. I'd like to rename them so I can identify which car belongs to which connection.
if there are plans to create a camera connection kit for the iPhone, similar to what is available for the iPad? I have a Gen 1 iPad that doesn't have a lot of storage on it, along with a camera connection kit, but don't want to haul it around on an upcoming vacation. I was hoping the iPhone 4S would have something similar so I could travel with just a camera and the phone.
