If I have the 4.1 GM and the official is released what do I do to get the official release? I know it MAY be the same but when it is released tomorrow I want to make sure I install the OFFICIAL release..........
I have a spare iPhone 4 which is currently not in use. It is out of contract and was bought at full price. I did the AT&T process and I got the email from AT&T saying that I can unlock it by doing the restore. Now when I do that I do not see the unlock screen and using tmobile shows SIM Failure. During the process I gave AT&T my phone number which I use on a blackberry and not the iPhone. Does it matter that when I restore the iPhone, the SIM inside has to be of my phone number that I gave AT&T? Or it should unlock no matter if I use any sim (even tmobile) during the restore?
So from what I've gathered from various sites, the GM and the final release check out - except for the omission of the Game Center platform. If there were no additional bugs or functions, then is it even worth going back and installing the official release? Having to transfer 28GB of files is such a tedious project.
is there anyway to get an upgrade to ios6 to test it out before the official release? I have read about some people trying it out and i would love to be one of those people.
Look at this website . [url]. They were saying they can unlock any iphone because they pretending an official partner or service center of Apple. They were using even the apple logo in there website to say they were official partners.? Is they actaully an official partner or not?.
Has anyone talked to a rep at least and told that they are looking into it? Would be smart to just come out with a generic statement. "we are aware of the connection problems some users are having when hold the exterior of the phone and are working on a solution" would be nice to hear.
I never had battery problems with 5.0 but immediately after update to 5.1 stand by battery life is less than 2 hrs, even less with any use. My phone is now basically a brick.
I am using the official charger that came with my iphone 5. one it doest charge just shows the "this cable or accessory is not certified......" i used another cable and it works just fine. but i when i use the official charger that came with it doesn't charge. just the same error.
This is probably a question that can be easily answered. Since now the 8520/30 has an official 5.0, is the 8900 going to get it? I ask because of the whole "not selling 8900's anymore".
Did se release new fix or firmware version for current os? I saw some website showing minor firmware update for x8. I still love se current os.the ui is nice, and i dont mind staying with current os(2.1). as long as its officially from se.
Anyone know when a new "official" OS will be available? I am waiting and waiting. I really don't want the unofficial, don't know why but I just don't. I'm ready for something new.
This is the WOW phone I've been waiting for. 3GB RAM, 8MP, 1800 mAh battery. Built in projector and only 14.9mm thick. This monster will be at least 1500$ at release.
I know Google said in january a car dock was coming. Any ideas when? The house dock is amazingly awesome, and the only thing thats holding me back is lack of a good car dock.I'm currently selling my iPhone (simply because I can sell it for so much, and still make a profit after buying a Nexus One), and will get a Nexus One, but I'm spoiled right now as I use an XM Skydock in my car.I just don't want some cheap aftermarket universal dock, I want something that fits just as good as the house dock.
Looks like its coming out june 4th for $199! Anyone else considering jumping ship and getting into one of these? Ive been with AT&T for about 4 years now, sititng with an iPhone for most of it, and a Nexus One for a few months, but for the cheaper plan (assumed) i think im gioing to go the route of the Evo 4G. $129 plus a 18% discount vs. $161 after discount sounds even much more appealing now that theres a beautiful phone behind it.
I recently did the ICS RUU update from the HTC Dev site, all good generally but phone now suffers from severe lag at times, mostly during intensive 3D games but often during typing (I use SlideIt). Same games, same SlideIt, same phone, performance fine on Android 3, but I'm thinking of downgrading unless there is a fix for this. Games often pause themselves when the going gets tough, and sometimes bomb out to the home page.
I want to flash to G920FXXU1AOD4 from G920FXXU1AOE3. I tried to use Odin 1.85 and 3.04.
This is the error that I'm getting in Odin 1.85:
<ID:0/003> Added!! <OSM> Enter CS for MD5.. <OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable.. <OSM> Please wait.. <OSM> G920FXXU1AOD4_G920FOJK1AOD4_G920FXXU1AOCZ_HOME.tar .md5 is valid.
So I downloaded the official OS 5 and I installed it (using the instructions on this site) and it was running on my phone. I got an official version off of blackberry.com for my Curve 8520. After that I got some notice to update software but I think it went back to OS 4.6 and now when I try to reload OS 5 on it won't let me... it shows and asterick next to it in the Desktop manager and when I select it to update to OS 5. I wont do it.
What does the asterick mean? How do I get the asterick to go away? is the a way to scrub the phone and start from scratch? Can someone PLEASE help me figure out how to undo my mistake. I want to get OS 5 back on my BB Curve 8520.
No offence but the official OS update doesn't work.
Mines been hanging for at least 30 minutes and if the only way to help is to get suggestions from non-blackberry employees while the support services hide away then the phone may as well go back and I'll, get an iPhone.
It shouldn't be up to the people on this forum to be left to do things themselves. Blackberry needs to get involved with all the problems and questions their updates are causing.
